I've worshiped this woman since I was 8 years old (I'm 63 now.) Love her just as much now as I did then.

I used to tell my sisters to stop playing her records too loud, Motown especially Diana ross and the Supremes, truth is I love this song and Diana Ross and the Supremes, and all Motown really, it was the heavy metal era for the "lads", and soul then disco for the gals, but really i loved it all but did not want to admit it being just 12 yrs old, awesome reaction again.

There was a time when this was always on the radio. Diana Ross had I guess three distinct high points in her career: 60s, 70s, 80s. It seems to me her 70s work is most overlooked. Other 70s hits by Diana: "Touch Me in the Morning," "Theme from Mahogany," "Love Hangover."

Great reaction to a great song. In the 60's I would sing to the Supremes with the handle of my hairbrush in hand. Fun memories of Diana Ross.❤ Stay safe.

What a stable of singers Motown developed almost exclusively, or at least a great many, from the surrounding city of Detroit. I listen to the Supremes a lot to this day and their music is over 60 years old now! Don't ask me how old I am, but great music is great music and stands the test of time for true music lovers. 💖💖💖

I would recommend the theme song from Mahogany, a song that for some reason is always overlooked maybe because it sounds so depressing, but still beautiful at the same time...

I saw her in Chicago in the mid-70s still at the height of her popularity. You mentioned how stunning she looked when you saw her on TV back in the day. Well, she must have done at least four or five costume changes through the course of the evening. Beautiful dazzling gowns all. Full orchestra. She mixed it up with her hits with the Supremes and her own now classic solo stuff. She ended with "Reach Out and Touch Somebody's Hand" as she came off the stage and proceeded to walk down the center aisle touching hands with those close enough and lucky enough to be able reach out and touch one of the great divas of classic 70s era pop and soul. I got *this* close. 😏
    Amazing memorable evening.

Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell originally recorded this Ashford & Simpson (Motown) song in 1967. I believe Ike and Tina Turner also recorded it around the same time.

Growing up on a farm north of Detroit l would listen on the radio in the barn, CKLW had all the latest in Motown hits, I remember sunday nights and the Ed Sullivan Show he had all the Motowns best, Diana Ross and the Supremes were my favorite. I moved to San Diego, California where I saw her twice in concert those were the days!😊 ❤ Gary

How do you absorb so much great music so quickly? It was spread over decades for those of us who grew up with it. You're getting decades of genius, peace and love in a compressed time. Pace yourselves, listen to something boring and bland every once in a while.
Lady D., Florence, and Mary! Supremes forever!

I love that you both are just in the discovery mode of Diana & The Supremes. I have been a fan from very early on and have been blessed to see her with the Original Supremes DMF & DMC and as a solo artist more than anyone else that I have seen perform live: That is something you both should check out. There is a great video from her fan club: Diana Ross - I´m Still Waiting (The Greatest Music Party In The World, 1995) where she is in great form and just to see how she interacts with the audience who she holds in the palm of her hand...
Anyhoo I'm sure both of you but especially Andre will love THIS:
