Before I started watching the video, I asked myself what would be at a $15.99 seafood buffet? I came up with fishy old mussels, rubbery calamari and, worst of all, shrimp that you have to peel for yourself! This buffet was pretty surprising. It wasn't the most upscale buffet I've ever seen, but the food looked like it was fresh and tasty and the crabs looked delicious. Crab at a cheap buffet? Last time I went to a cheap ($24.99) buffet they only had fake crab. Just one last thing. I am Canadian and we celebrate Thanksgiving in October. I know American Thanksgiving is next week. I have seen your wife and your son and I notice that you get to go to a LOT of buffets in Las Vegas. You have so much to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving

Hi!! I was there last week it is reasonable but worth it plenty of food they constantly refilling I enjoyed this better than AYCE At Palms that cost me 65 dollars plus tax with limited items!! I will return to China Star again in the near future!!!
When I worked for 3M we used to go to a local Asian take-out place and I'd always get the chicken wings and the small hot & sour soup, that soup makes the perfect dunking "sauce" for the wings - definitely recommend trying that combo. This one doesn't look too bad, and gets you away from the current mayhem that is the F1 construction so that's always a plus...
I had Lunch at the "China Star". The Restaurant was Clean and the Waitress & Hostess was very nice 👍🙂. The Table was Clean and most Importantly the "Food was Delicious"! I'm not a "Sushi 🍣" person but I do agree 👍 the Selection was Excellent. They didn't have any Lobster 🦞 but I enjoyed the Clams (stuffed). I tried the Soup but alas it was a little "Spicy"for Me. Tell me about it been going to Vegas for years on vacation for a week I know all the local hidden gems just off the strip not far if you like Chinese food try ping pang pong at the Gold Coast on Flamingo Road it's right next to the Rio and if you want to treat yourself and have a really nice filet mignon and lobster tail meal try Alder and Birch at The Orleans literally half the price eyes on the strips somewhere very good top quality never disappoints🎉
apparently im feeling chatty tonight 😂 but i think (seeing you struggle with the chicken at 9:04 ) they all have knives up on the bar, at least our local asian buffet does. not sure why they dont serve them with the forks.
Thank you for another good video. Being the seafood snob that I am, I was turned off by the fake crab leg salad, the fried blue crabs, whatever the cheese covered scallops/clams were, the overly breaded fried shrimp and the head-on peel and eat shrimp. HOWEVER, for $15.99, I do believe this to be much better than the recent Hardee's fast food combo meal I purchased for just over $12.00. The price of fast food is just stupid these days. This was $7.99 up until COVID. And the shrimp and corn dish would inevitably just be corn after some greedy guests just load up on shrimp. Their food tastes better than it needs to be. Used to go there about once a week.
