I got the same one last week. Im very pleased with it. I have filled the bag already. I like the push to clean filter button. Mine has a rubber strap that can hold the cable.
Yeah it’s really good. Ah that’s what the strap’s for! That’ll teach me to read instructions! I haven’t tried the push to clean button yet, not sure I’ll use the bag as have the cyclone but probably would help.
That looks a great new vac you have, I have been meaning to get a new one for a while now and that looks like the fella I need. thanks for the demo of it.
Thanks for that. I'd be interested to know how you got on hooking up the Nilfisk to the dust bucket system. I just got the same vacuum cleaner and a Triton Dust Bucket and can't for the life of me figure out how to connect them up - no pipe or coupling is the same bloody size!! ;) I'm thinking of sending back the bucket and trying something else but not sure what. Your experience would be helpful. Cheers.
Great Video! Thanks for sharing this info for us. We just picked one up for our shop, and the "infographic" instructions weren't the most helpful, but your video was!
That’s very useful thank you.👍 I noticed when you are doing the tests you use a box of concrete screws - I only discovered these last year - pigging brilliant they are.😀
Yeah I have a pet hate for rawl plugs so love them. Shame they can’t be used on breeze block though. The DeWalt wall dogs are great too and work on breeze block but are only light duty. Good for pictures and small shelves though.
i have those same screws bought from Screwfix, i have used them to put the first half of a french cleat batten on a Breeze Block wall in my shed, with no problems and with a couple of heavy cabinets going on it as well, stayed up nice and tight no probs. They can be used on Block, Brick and Concrete. Barry (Wirral)
That’s interesting Barry I tried them on one of my walls which is block and they were easy to pull out. They recommend a 4.5mm drill bit which I don’t have so used 5mm; perhaps that was the issue.
Maybe, i love them defo better than using plugs all the time, i can't remember the bit size i used to drill into the wall, i'll get back to you on that tomorrow if you want? but i haven't had any probs with them. Barry.
You could always zip tie a couple of hooks to the back of the vac to store the excess cord. Nice strong suction on the shop vac. How about doing a vid on a insulated vented cupboard for dampening the sound of the vac? Good video, mate.
Hi dude, know this is an old vid. I have the same aero 26 hooked up to the same blue barrel and cyclone for a CNC. CNC has its own self build acoustic house, and a mini one for the aero. I've been opening the door for the aero box as I find a lot of heat's pumped out. How do you cope with the noise?
Hello, if you read this, I have the same system but the nilfisk buddy II, and it is so powerful that when the nozzle bock the barrel implodes. I broke a couple of them and lately I bough a oipps from amazon, with way better quality but still has imploded. Have you been there yet? Thanks
Don't you have trouble with the blue can crushing under the vacuum? I did, using one with my Miele house hoover, even after I tried packing it out with plywood bracing.
I have the exact same setup, but with a Nilfisk T20 instead, and if you block the hose with e.g. your hand, the cyclone barrel (mine is the 60L version) will buckle inwards from the vacuum after 1-2 seconds. As HWHL says, if the air is flowing, then no problem at all. So far I have been able to 'un-buckle' my barrels whenever it has happened, but it is a little annoying. A plywood bracing should definitely resolve the issue though, but you will need to make the brace in two parts and assemble it inside the barrel, as a full size bracing ring would not fit through the opening of the barrel.
Hi Matt, where did you get your bucket and cyclone?just been doing a marathon UA-cam search for the best bucket to make/use/buy and yours looks good to go.
Hi Matt, I notice you have a cyclone vac next to your new Nilfisk. Is this used in conjunction with it, or used separately ? Can the Nilfisk be used without the cyclone ?... if they are best used together, can a cyclone vac be purchased or even better home made to suit. Great informative video once again, keep up the good work. Chris.
@@WheresMyPencilUK whats the serial number on the m class one as they may look alike but there has to be a difference ? the filter on mine says 302000461 which is as far as i can tell not m class
Hi mate as i said yesterday i will look for the drill bit size, and the one i use is 6mm and 150mm long and of course it's a Masonry Bit. I was going to put this with the other comment but it's not on here now, don't know why you took it off i was just helping you out? Barry (Wirral)
Nice vid as always, thanks. are you sure it’s M class, as non of the sites state that ? M class vacs are twice the price, so blooming bargain if it is. Keep up the good work👍🏻

I’ve just done a bit of research as you had me wondering! Basically it’s not their M class certified vac, that’s called the Attix range. It does however come with the same filter so I’m not sure what make the Attix M m-class certified it may be the flow sensor which my vac doesn’t have. So the filter is M-Class which is good enough for me given the cost and it means it will be filtering out 99.9% of the particles. Hope that helps.
Happy Wife Happy Life , thanks for coming back, looks like we were both researching the same... the hours I’ve spent researching dust collection😂, M Class / HEPA, particles, all very confusing, but one thing is certain extraction is better than not extracting. Thanks enjoy making dust👍🏻
@@WheresMyPencilUK your right the filter is the same, but to be certified M class it would need an audible alert for low flow (filter replacing etc) and adjustment for air speed (+ a few other things). Certified M class start at around £300. Not so important in a home workshop I reckon, so really you saved £150 and just need to remember to check and change the filter often :) - thanks for the video, cheers Bill
Yeah to be fair it’s not their m-class certified vac (that’s about £300) because it doesn’t have air flow monitoring but the filter that’s in it is an m-class one as it’s the same that comes in the m-class certified vac. When I bought it I bought an additional filter that was specified as m-class but then found it was the same one as already in it! So in summary from the research I’ve done, the filter is m-class but the vac itself isn’t m -class certified due to not having air flow monitoring. Hope that makes sense.
I have had one for about 5 years and it’s still going strong. I’m so happy with it I’m buying another to leave in my workshop.
Great review mate👍
Super review chief. Great to see you test the suction at the end of your run as that's quite important. Thanks again
you could glue a couple of coat hooks to the vac body to have somewhere to wind the cable, thanks for the review.
Good idea. Not an issue for me at moment as staying in one place.
Theres a hook in the accessory pack that goes on the machine 😉

You’re welcome Andrew.
There is a hook attachment that came with it to hang the cord at the back, good Vac though
where are you ?! we miss your videos!

Ditto about what you did to connect things up?
Great Video! Thanks for sharing this info for us. We just picked one up for our shop, and the "infographic" instructions weren't the most helpful, but your video was!
Those filters clean up real nice if you take them outside and mount them to a battery drill and spin it.
An there will be a lot of dust in air then.
How does the Karcher compare to the Nilfisk wet dry vacuums?
I don’t know I have a Nilfisk…… 🤷🏼♂️
Great video and what a great tool setup you have , very envious indeed .
Thanks it’s taken a while to accumulate them!
Looks like a good option, I will make sure to use your amazon link if i go for that one. Excellent. Cheers
Cheers Mark.
tell me, is there a rubber gasket which must be in place when installing the filter?

Hello, have you still got this vac ?? Is it still performing well and do you still get any surface dust in your workshop or none ??
Still working well. I’d recommend to get bags for it but the system works well for my needs.
@@WheresMyPencilUK Thank you, much appreciated 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
i have this vac..... had it awhile and find it very good, got it hooked up with a cyclone...
It’s a great vac.
Very helpful mate. Great review👍

It is pretty noisy. I tend to just use it in bursts and ear defenders if long periods.

Yeah I have had a couple of issues with barrel implosion but I’m careful not to block it for too long. You could look at bracing the inside.
That's the chappie I got. Can't fault it. I made a frame to seat my (smaller) bucket on top. Smaller footprint.
Yeah it’s good. I did think about mounting the vac underneath the drum but together would be too tall I think.
Don't you have trouble with the blue can crushing under the vacuum? I did, using one with my Miele house hoover, even after I tried packing it out with plywood bracing.
No it’s fine if you have trouble with crushing it implies you have a blockage.

There are links in the description of the Workshop Dust Extraction - Part 2 video. 👍🏼
Do you know if this is M Class.?
So the filter is m class but it doesn’t have a flow alarm so strictly speaking it isn’t but it does give m class spec filtration.

Thanks, I use them together to save on bags etc. You could use the Nilfisk on its own.
Great video I was looking forward to seeing this as I am working out what one is going to the best one for me and my shop
Thanks glad you found it useful.
how do you know its an m class filter ? what is the serial number on the filter ? it could save me spending £25 if i already have an m class filter
It’s identical to the M class one I bought! 👍🏼
