I saw Louise by chance a few years ago, and I was shook. I still think about it from time to time. I remember being little and very jealous that every other little girl got to go to dance lessons, but I couldn't because we couldn't afford it. The older I've gotten and the more I learn about what goes on in the dance world, the happier I am to have missed out. :(
Bolshoi is in Russia. There’s an American that was the first American to study there in the Russian programme named Joy Womack and she has a UA-cam channel. She has spoken a little about the problems there. She moved to the Kremlin ballet because it was safer but eventually has moved through a couple other countries including South Korea and Italy. She talks about her experiences in all of them.
Is more like pronounced Degaaa Props to my art history teacher placing a massive disclaimer on his character, initially never saw it as something special because it was for my teenage self in a distant "primitive" past but later boy the memory of the class hits like a truck!
i really enjoyed this video! My ballet studio is actually doing a dance themed after Degas paintings. i did not know about the sex work involved in this!
Thank you for this! I knew some about this, but I wasn't aware of the "Louise" video. Will definitely check it out, and more of your uploads, of course!😊
Edgar degus might actually be Jack the ripper. one of this art sculpture's, The Little Fourteen-Year-Old Dancer was found to have organic matter in it. Jack the ripper's victim's organs were never found, and some spectate that, that was the organic matter found in the dancer sculpture. Manny other clues were given to why Edgar could be the infamous unsolved case of Jack the ripper.
