Namaste once again. Sir i have a doubt. In your videos i have seen that drip irrigation lateral line is at much height Its almost at 5-6 feet height from ground. . i have to ask you what is the reason behind it ? here in Nashik Maharashtra we maximally put it at 2-3 feet height.

+Sahil Fatangare It is not so specific. If you put it at height it will not come in the way of cultural operations. That farm uses mini tiller between tow rows. There is no much significance of height.

Even i also agree with your point. But some people in our area says that if we put laterals in distant height, it will result in hardness of soil where the water falls and it will result in slow development of root zone.
they also said that water should fall smoothly because root zone lies in area around where water falls. and that area must remain smooth
and also when water falls from height it will disturb by the wind pressure and water will not fall in desired area

Yes you are correct. It is better to keep laterals on ground. Splashing water from height may spread disease also. But for their convenience farmers follow many methods.

namaste sir Iam grape farmer from nashik maharashtra. i want to ask you that here in our region every farmer use steel angles for pendal system. but as i saw in your documentary every farm has cement poles. I have not seen this in my region. i wanted to ask you that what will be the durability of that cement poles. I have large farm but limited financial. Is that cement poles will be cost effective and durable? or is there any another reason that you use cement poles for pendal system?

+Sahil Fatangare Sir it costs almost same to GI, a bit costlier. It remains for ever if you not break it by hitting tractor. There is no other reason for that. Even the stone pillar is good.

Sir we have many good varieties in India. You can get it with farmers or institutes. But plant quarantine law must be followed to take it to your country. I don't know which country you belong to. It is better to search grape vine in your country itself. If you want from India we can give contacts of farmers.
