Most people don't know that the MUSKIDINE grape LEAVES CAN BE USED in pickling for their tannins to keep you're pickles crisp, one leaf in the bottom of the jar when packing pickles keeps you're pickles from getting mushy.

I live in North Central Mississippi and have 7 varieties and 20 plants. Started making wine last year and jellies before. Haven't had great luck with the seedless varieties as far as consistent production. Growing is easy and production overall is terrific. Planning to start another row this year. One of the best comprehensive videos on Muscadines, that I have seen. Great job!

Very complete, comprehensive, and understandable throughout the video. Answered all the questions I had. Hope you don't mind a Mississippi State fan listening in!
Which muscadine would you recommend for intense taste for grape gelee? Like something really aromatic? Thanks and best wishes in advance 🤗😃 P.S.: I preferably need cold resistant varieties for cold weather climate 🙈❤️
Man, i have that south east texas clay. Im 4 years into trying plants and trees.. its killing me. What DOES grow in heavy clay, that takes 2+ days to pass the drainage test
what you can do in a case like that dig a 2-3 ft pit dont have to be deep 12inch ok fill good topsoil muscadine roots are 6-8 inches deep plant your vine in the center of the pit people grow them in pots some times you only need 1 plant ( tween ) 2 post 25 ft apart set the vine 12 from post 3 ys it wii cover 2 wire 25 long the grow good every spring
This is one of the best informative videos I have seen! Good job guys!! Also, Aubrey is ADORABLE! Squeeze the pulp and seed out, then let him try it. I bet he'll like it, especially a sweet bronze. I grew up with Scupadines grown by my grandmother and they were sweet and delicious. I am growing some in a pot and they are doing wonderfully.
Have y'all did any research on the T V Munson grapes? I have 2 lanes and 2 halls here in Stephenville, but I'm worried about them freezing. then I came across the TV Munson info from the 1890's. Maybe looking at the Mrs Munson to plant. Thanks
I'm growing some in southwest oklahoma old Greer County which was Texas at one time.. now it's jackson county in oklahoma. It's tart but I blend with sand plums. So yummy
They didn’t tell the viewers, byy it t muscadine are native to Louisiana, also. Most things found is Texas is also in Louisiana, including the persimmons.
Pak boleh kirimkan batang anggur nya ke indonesia atau biji nya aja juga boleh. Kalau biji nya bisa dikirim pake pos seperti surat biasa ya. Sy siap bayar pak. Makasih pak
HELP! HELP! My muscadine leaves are turning brown I think I over water them last week due to the Heat here in EAST texas 105 degrees.. I live in kilgore TX..
These grapes look completely odd and different. Grapes usually have a natural dust on the surface and by cleaning that, grapes look semi-transparent. But these are just opaque just like olives or plum or sth.
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else wants to learn about grapes in containers try Grape grower folio (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my mate got cool results with it.
I had a Conrade plant for three years black as water did not bloom then i put in the muscadine grape ripe after the first winter the male; she bloomed they are wild tiny and daddy kids, so i will wait to the winter. so, i will cut back the vine it makes the tough skin tender
save those seeds they will sprout in spring time insmall containers with top soilwhen they get about inchs long plant in garden in sunny spot leave seeds in fridge till spring
i always wait till 2nd week sept for my scuppnongs gold very sweet then the last 2 weeks they really rippen and take on a pearl finish also change from firm to soft to the touch i dont summer prune my vines because those extra leaves affect the sugar content also have the black am saving seeds to germ. this spring
How much water per vine and how frequently? Is the Fort Hood area too central vs East for muscadines? I'm from the Seattle area and hadn't heard of muscadines till I met my husband who is from North Carolina. I grew up eating Korean or Kyoho grapes, which taste similar to me. The Army has us here in Texas and we'd love to grow some for our kids. Will they fruit the first year planted or will they be yet another fruit tree/vine I leave behind for the next family to enjoy? Thank you for sharing this info!
it will take 2-3 years to bear fruit depend on howold vines are when bought you can buy vines from nursery older vines cost more need full sun 10-12 gal water week depending on type soil use 10-10-10 to fert. yellow leaves may need epsom salts (magnesium} to stay dark green
i have a damn wall of mustangs growing all down the side of my fence line, im talkin vines as big around as my thigh, how the hell do you get rid of them, i chopped a lot of em last summer, and come to find out them suckers were holding up the trees surrounding my property, turned into a mess, and they still there, like a damn jungle i cant kill
I live in South Al and my soil is 7 in most of my yard. I've been composting for a few years and most I've been able to bring it up to is around 6.8. I have very sandy soil as well...almost too much sand as it gets dry quick. What would you suggest? I think I have a nesbitt Not sure though...It's in a pot right now and plan to put in ground in fall.

The grape seeds are actually quite good for you medicinally. There may be some kind of mustang hybrid in Elgin because the fruit are huge and sweet.

Hello professors! I would like to ask if these Muscadine grapes can be purchased in Europe Hungary? The plant for growing not the fruit.
The mustang grapes in Elgin Texas are exquisite. Not sure why but they are amazing compared to other places.
He visto que la cultivan en la Amazonía Brasileña. Definitivamente con el clima tropical húmedo la Vitis vinifera no tendría nada que hacer
Down in Hartsville South Carolina in the country where my grandma live at these grow on the side of the road
When or what time of year do you prune them
