Watched this again. Saw Spirit as the original band in 1970 at Valley Music Center in Woodland Hills, CA. Taj Mahal opened for them. Incredible guitarist and Long Live the memory of Ed Cassidy... greatest drummer ever next to John Bonham of L. Z. Long live Spirit and so sad Randy died,, but died a hero.
Saw them in 1978 on German Television, was hooked instantaneously. This is apparently from the 90s but sounds even fresher and "more juvenile" than 20 years before. Even Ed Cassidy looks younger! The Spirit will never die. Its just a stunning WOW!
Ah, a song that brings back memories of a failed relationship from the eighties that on a personal level reminds me of the good times before everything went wrong .Randy California , Ed cassidy and the band Spirit live on for ever !
Saw them on that 78 tour ( the Police were warm up band! )and again at Glastonbury.. Shame we lost Randy, talented guitarist and musician and all round good Human Being

You are looking at a true Hero.What he did for his Son is amazing and I know he is in a better place for it.
I saw him play this in London for the first time in 1982.
Randy would have been 60 on 20th February 2011....Celebrate the man's genius.
