Nice. I'm 31 too and used to trip to all this kinda stuff in my teens too.. Although I never had this song .. I had a buncha burned CD's with random Dose One songs and other similiar artists.. Wish i knew of this back then lol. Miss the early 2000s sooooooo much dope underground hip hop and indie music in general was coming out all the time
The instrumental was off a Jel solo album. Dose put this one up on his myspace a long time ago as a free download back when people my age used myspace mostly instead of facebook like we do now. That's where I got it as a teenager (I'm 28) and I don't remember it being on a release, then. I still have my original dl.
My ex gf's cousins used to open up for cLOUDEAD, sage francis, atmosphere, and aesop rock in 2001-2004 when Anticon came to Denver. Met Dose and Why? Aka Yoni Wolf.
This track was on a compilation way back, I ordered one from amazon but it never showed up. The seller was most likely 10 yrs old and couldn't write a proper apology.
Haha, ok. First off, hello from the future. I know this is 11 years later but I have an answer for you, my friend. Jel - the producer- has a b-side series he he's been releasing for years called "greenball" this is the 2nd track off Greenball 3rd called "thems my peoples" (same as it's named here). You can find it on Spotify. It's fun going through the greenball albums cause you'll here the original versions of any beats Jel gave to other anticon artists.
I remember listening to this on mushrooms when I was 18... I'm 31 now. It made me beam with happiness.
