"We'll be better next time. No we won't." That little exchange sums up why I enjoy watching these videos. You enjoy what you do and you enjoy going on tangents, and the viewers can relate to it. Nice sounding breedlove.
I’ve got the earthsong one, love it
I have an old Atlas Series Breedlove.. beautifully aged Sitka Spruce top paired with solid Rosewood back & sides. It's got a ton of Abalone inlay all over, gold hardware, Fishman electronics.. It plays so easily, has a cool punchy tone when I dig in, tons of overtones.. I could go on and on. It was right at $1K brand new.. I would quite confidently put it against a variety of acoustics worth double that price.
That is gorgeous. Sounds very sweet too.
I have one of these. Exceptionally wonderful guitar. Went in to buy a Taylor or Martin and walked out with this. It has everything and even rings out beautifully with light fingerpicking.
I really thought that the price was higher for that guitar! "we will be better next time", but your always good 👍 Thanks...
The workmanship alone can make you feel like you're taking advantage of fellow U.S. citizens at $2,500, plus great sound. Close to an impulse buy on this one.
My 3rd Breedlove is on its way
Beautiful guitar. To me it sounded its best when Quinton was comping chords at around the 4:01 mark
L.R. Baggs Anthem pick up , a very good system I got one .
Myrtlewood is a sustainable wood native to Oregon-California aka California laurel, pepperwood, & 15 other names. LR Baggs Anthem Tru-Mic. Very bright & balanced as Quinton plays it. Good demo, but not enough bass for me. Thanks Quinton & Paul. Wonder what "voice" Myrtlewood ages toward, mahogany (my guess), Rosewood or maple?
These guys are like 2 brothers who get along very well but have subtle arguments here and then lol
I camp on the Oregon coast each summer and there are tons of little shops with stuff made from myrtlewood. Almost got me a cribbage board. Not sure if I'd buy a geetar without playing it.
I like the sound. Pretty big bottom for a smaller body with a cutaway. Maybe just a little "flashy" though?
What is that concert body guitar hanging on the wall?
That tigers eye finish is freaking sexy👀
Love Breedloves but haven't tried myrtlewood yet.
Myrtle wood/tree is called the California Bay Laurel in California. Interesting as the tree really can get big and the leaves are Bay Leaves and can be used for cooking. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umbellularia#:~:text=Umbellularia%20californica,-(Hook.&text=Sciadiodaphne%20Rchb.,California%20bay%20or%20California%20laurel.
Breedlove’s just seem Ok guitars to me. Sort of like Takamine’s, Taylor’s & Ibanez’s.
I wish you’d focussed your chat on THIS guitar rather than waffled about trainers and high heels! Why bother having the guitar there at all! You didn’t seem to know much about the guitar. As it’s so rare I would have appreciated a comprehensive review. Particularly as compared to Taylor and Martin it’s much more affordable. A comparison review would have helped. You are funny guys though! Would still watch you again! Just try and stay a bit more focussed 😆
Breedlove is no longer Breedlove. They've been bought by the same owners that own Bedell.
Breedlove copied the best of Ovation Pin less bridge and no pick guards . Also much like Ovations There American guitars are far superior to there Asian guitars . Taylor does a much better job with cheap guitars but there high end guitars are just as good as Martins and Taylor’s
