If you haven't seen already , Look up PVC Ram pump . Easy to build and you can make them in different sizes , No electricity , No gas and No bucketing water and will run all day .Might be good for high bankers. Great for river sluice but may not work for all rivers . You could do a video on parts list and build.

I remember the prospector in the stop animation Christmas special Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer would throw his pick axe and then lick the spikes to test for gold. We can ask Chris to sing Fernie the black nosed boxer while out on the creek. Maybe get Gad Zee to dress up as an elf. 😁

Cris, I'm curious...have you tried spraying your sluice with soapy water before turning on the water? Air bubbles are caused by surface tension between the water and the dry surfaces, soap breaks that surface tension, especially if you are using soap in your clean up water too, so pre-spraying with soapy water *might* stop the majority of air bubbles from forming in the first place. I don't have the set-up to test this (nor the concentrates to clean), it's only a theory on my part when thinking about what causes those air bubbles. I'm honestly kinda curious myself if it would work. If ya give it a try please tell me if I was right. Always love your vids.
love the recovery you get with that mini sluice. looks very calming using it too, watching dirt wash by and gold appear as if by magic. what is the mat you used?
I use the V mat squares with adhesive backing from Bunnings on the sluice flare , cut to fit & seal the edges with gorilla tape, it actually holds a lot of my small gold. Could place the black tub over the bottom of the sluice before you pick it up. What's the feed rate of that sluice compared to something with riffles & can the cell style run with less water than riffles?
Still don't understand why the gold is not least likely to be picked up by the hand pump and not most likely to fall out before getting to pan or classifier?
He's done a video on this with a nugget to demonstrate the heavies are still in suction when it's brought to a pan I think it's was two metres between the suction spot and the pan before the heavies started to drop out.
