Post more of these videos. This is the insider info people need. This kind of content really dispels the social media trading mentality and shows how trades are planned and the trading day is approached. How about a series: trade plan, execution, playbook review.
Good discussion gents. Tougher bear market climate to have really clean set ups as most charts show the stage 3 distribution or 4 markdown phases. Thanks. Kirby.
The quickform strategy explanation here is efficient and educational. I really enjoy this format and commentary from the Head Traders. No pun intended, but this form of morning gameplanning is a money maker.
Very useful info ! I know it's just a conversation but in terms of quality of ideas , are news catalysts generally better trades than technical catalysts to trade (and why ) ? And what would you consider a 10 out of 10 trading idea before it unfolds ?
I like the quick layout of gameplans with straight to the point identification of edge. I apply similar methods to my setups leading into the trading day.
It's been a year since I last engaged with this content, and now the concept of idea generation resonates with me even more profoundly. In fact, having the opportunity to observe the behind-the-scenes dynamics before the market opens has illuminated just how much a setup can evolve. Trading effectively is truly a game of understanding good probabilities; therefore, the quality of the initial idea greatly influences the potential outcomes. Since the trade is the practical application of the setup in response to the catalyst e.g. the timing, direction, size, and management of the trade are dictated by how the setup develops post the catalyst , without a strong catalyst even a good set up is les reliable and the trade becomes much harder to manage.
thank you for these videos, they're brilliant. Mike's comments especially on airlines and oil literally opened my mind up
