These both look killer! They really are shredding up that pavement. The extra 3" on that tangent though gives some space for a little bit of everything!
I wish there was even one road/sidewalk in my city... or even my state... a smooth as those in the video. Even our small skatepark is cracked and crumbling.
Will you send these surfskates to your international distributors? In my example i cannot buy newest loaded boards in my country but i'll be travelling to Turkey in summer, so i checked loaded site and saw a boardshop there, guess now i will just pray it will have one of these Tangent boards
After a couple of days with this board, I feel it’s still a unique board, maybe because I was comparing it to my Pantheon Prayanama for what I mostly do, that’s why I feel this board is too heavy. But i guess, there might someone who might appreciate this more than me. But i have other board that does certain things better. But if you’re the kind who needs just one board, maybe this might be the board for you.
I think is wheelbite, that's why there are 80mm kegels in place of 85mm caguamas. I pumped also the Dadbods on ldp boards, and they can be pumped, just I wouldn't race on them as I like more other wheels
Finally just got my setup it, I ordered it without even testing it out first. Here’s my take: 1. The Tangent boards are just too heavy. I’m not sure why but I always had this assumption that Loaded will make lighter board than most other manufacturer cause of their innovativeness in their materials but that’s not the case for the tangent. I hope they make the width more similar to the Pantheon Supersonic because you don’t really need that much foot space. I was looking at the fathom but it feels like a beta/generation 1 product so i went with the Tangent. 2. While overall the setup feels really nice, but after paying for it and knowing that the complete uses the older version of Carver trucks kinda sucks. The new Carver trucks are better and lighter which is what the tangent needs. 3. Overall this is more of a take what’s already available and frankenstein it into something new. I feel that if Loaded really want to go this direction (which is a good direction because it is still fun), they would need to redesign the board, the zee bracket and purposefully make it for a “Surfskate Longboard” that can take in bigger wheels than the 80mm keagles.
Just curious with the demand of LDP riding, why aren’t there a full titanium trucks in the market?, I like this board, but need it to be way lighter, like way lighter, carbon fiber light with titanium trucks. And a large ultralight wheels.
Hi Chuchium, There is a little more to it than just putting Surfskate trucks onto the Tangent. We created an upgrate kit with you in mind! www.loadedboards.com/products/fathom-tangent-surfskate-edition-carver-cx-upgrade-kit?_pos=2&_sid=4c181a910&_ss=r
My problem with Loaded is that their complete always uses older version of trucks. For example, they include with Paris V2 instead of Paris V3 and their surfskate edition uses the older Carver CX trucks instead of newer CX trucks that is lighter, stronger and way nicer looking. Seems like they are clearing stocks for these companies instead of making the best board possible out of the box. As a buyer, it’s annoying.
I have the tangent, it need to be a little lower and alot lighter, I prefer the size of the fathom tbh but don’t like the construction of the fathom, wish it was made from more advance technique and materials and make it alot lighter. What i would change if i were loaded: 1. Make the tangent a little lower 2. The board is heavy, it needs to be alot lighter 3. I prefer the smaller width board of the fathom, I’m a size US 9.5, so maybe make 2 different width for people who has different size feet? 4. It needs to come with a kickstand out of the box, not just 3d print file. Not everyone has a 3d printer. 5. Thinking of trying this surfskate version, but at 80mm max wheel size for a board like this is kind disappointing, Love the zee bracket but they should update it so this surfskate version can take bigger than 80mm wheels. 6. Since it a collab, they should make the carver truck nicer with colours or design.
I got so pissed after know we are getting the older version of the CX trucks which is heavier and weaker, I went and buy the new CX tucks with a bunch of Riptide Bushings and pivot cups. Wish the gave us the new trucks out of the box. But I guess collaborations means clearing old stocks. And I really think Otang are outdated AF, their formula for Urathane are designed back in the days for a different kind of longboarding. Now I need to find out what the max wheel size and can fit on this setup. The board is so heavy too omg. Idk why they still make the fathom it’s obviously flawed. Why not make a smaller Tangent and replace the fathom with it? Why Loaded? It’s frustrating like your favorite brand like Loaded are falling behind like brands like Pantheon. It doesn’t make sense to me. What’s the purpose of the Zee Brackets when the Pantheon Pranayama is lower without any brackets? You probably say it fits bigger wheels? But the Pranayama fits the Hoku wheels just fine. Argh this is just so frustrating. And let me emphasise, WE REALLY HATE FOR LOADED TO GIVE US OLD GENERATION TRUCKS WITH THEIR COMPLETE BOARD, ESPECIALLY COLLAB BOARDS WITH THE LOGO.

Good for Carver to strike a deal with Loaded! They deserve all the love.
the best way to surf commute ever 🔥
Nice idea! I'll try carver cxs on my zee brackets 😊
damn. i didnt know i need this
I wish there was even one road/sidewalk in my city... or even my state... a smooth as those in the video. Even our small skatepark is cracked and crumbling.
God Bless
Can you guys what bigger wheels are compatible with this board? I want to order some Caguamas but don’t know if i will get wheelbite from it.

Okay fine I’ll buy a 5th loaded board 🤤
Why the older version of Carver trucks?
Is there any reason why there is no Dad Bod option? Wheelbite? Or too heavy for surfskate?
I'd say both. I wouldn't want to pump them, and yes I'd imagine they'd bite.

I wonder if a shorter rear truck hanger wouldn´t be more effective? 🤔

For a board that just came out, idk why they are still using the older Carver trucks, the new one has colors and better with all the hollow parts.
So I guess I'll buy some carver trucks cause no way I'm spending 400+ on another tangent.
