hey, hope you're doing better. Did you find someone to talk to or are you still in search?
This is very, very helpful for an introvert like me who doesn't like studying with others (even friends) or in a coffee shop. I prefer staying home a lot and I find it's more comfortable for me to study at home, but sometimes it gets tricky and I tend to distract myself with other things. With this video on, everytime I'm tempted to search for a random vid on UA-cam I'll see her studying and I feel a bit guilty/encouraged inside and go back to doing my work :)

I was contemplating if I wanted to be a doctor because I just didn't think that I was smart enough. I thought that I didn't have what it takes. But because of you I decided to go pre-med. I am currently a freshman and I want to let you know how much you inspire me to work hard because that is what makes a good student. This is super silly but I love the angle you place the camera at - some people face the camera and it kinda engages my brain like I want a conversation so it doesn't help, whereas the fact that you place it side-on is much more centering. I also love your music choices and your focus, it really helps me calm down my very active, kinda sporadic brain into actually studying. Wish I'd found your channel ages ago!

Thank you so much for making these. I have ADHD compounded with anxiety and I needed to get a really important task done that wasn't actually hard as far as difficulty, but it is SO HARD for me to focus for even short periods of time, especially when the thing I needed to focus on gives me anxiety. These kinds of videos are one of the only things that consistently motivates me.
It's like my brain looks over at you and goes, "Ah, that's what I need to be doing. Alright, that's not so bad." If I try to do it completely alone, I make everything out to be so hard in my head. But just looking over and seeing someone being so chill while working is really calming.

Tomorow I have history class and our theacher is terrible! She is always angry on us if we don't learn the lesson. This video helped me learn my last history lesson in 6 minutes but usually without listening to this I can learn a lesson in 30 minutes. I love this channel.

You don't have to apologize, your a medical student and the people that watch your VLOG should understand your very busy. I think it's very kind that your sharing your experience. Others with medical school student Vlog's have sponsors, your VLOG is better than most and should get some sponsors. I personally like your VLOG for the reason that you actually talk on Medicine. This is what I like to view: medical school textbooks used and the person studying and reading out loud. Possibly summarizing the class lectures and readings out loud. Some other medical students talk of everything else. I'm an older student and I'm thinking of going to a Caribbean or Philippine medical school. My first wife is a physician and I know some of the difficulties of medical school etc... The amount of reading in the first two years is incredible. I think high yield books is the only way to go. I'm studying and reading all the time and have questions with no person to ask. Example is Dubin's Rapid Interpretation of EKG's. It's a great book but I don't feel confident yet. What are your thoughts? Some of the schools in the Caribbean are at a 99% pass rate on USMLE but, I'm worried on the attrition rate which most don't want to comment on.

I don't know whether you will see this or not, but I had the urge to share this with you since I had to come back to your video. Back in 2017 I wrote my masters thesis with exactly this video on repeat. This audio with the music does something to my brain. I wrote so many papers and essays after my thesis and I could only motivate myself when I listened to this. I guess I conditioned my brain lol. Just want to say thank you. You might not know it, but I shared the most fulfilling moment with "you" when I finished my thesis.

There's this channel called CoffeeIntoSolution that helps a lot on focusing! It's from a Computer Engineer, and he basically records himself working / studying, seeing his videos and hearing the ambient noise from his videos, helps me. It feels like having a study buddy. So check it out.

Thank you Jamie so much for these STUDY WITH ME sessions, they helped a lot, you helped me get in the mood of studying, as in like creating this bubble around me solely for studying, I live by myself, and I don't really have friends whom I can study with, and I study most of the time on my own, it gets pretty lonely at times which can often times leads to me having no motivation whatsoever and so only after like 20min I'd get bored and I'll start procrastinating for like the whole day, and not get shit done xD, but with your videos, I can study for like the whole day now and feel as if I have REAL company, a real friend... it's weird but that's how muchthese videos are helpful to me and for every college or not student out there, so thak you once more !
