- Hello, this is Hamster Lab! In addition to naturalistic single cages for hamsters, we made natural single cages.
Not long after the video was made, many people were interested. Thanks to this, we have provided a better environment and feed to the hamster. Also, by purchasing the shooting equipment, I was able to deliver the hamster more vividly. thank you.
Hamster cages are designed by considering many factors such as drainage layer, air circulation, humidity, temperature, plants and decomposing organisms, and soil microorganisms.
My dream is to build a hamster welfare farm. In the hope that hamsters can meet you and live in a better environment.

the fact that you putted life mealworms in the cage is so good, your hamster can now find there own food the way they do it in the wild
Depending on the worms they can pack a mean bite you do need to be sure it is a kind the hamster would be able to defend against
As someone that comes from the fishkeeping world, I am always amazed by the fact there aren't more people trying to create a more natural environment for hamsters and mouses. I would love to seem something kind of aquascaping but for hamsters haha
I’m a fish keeper and a hamster keeper, I have full aquascapes and nature scenes for my Hammies so I get both the underwater and above ground fun! 😄

@Hugo Cordova Sand is completely safe as long as it’s not dusty, in fact you are supposed to have a sand bath in your enclosure.

Just for the info I am a woman lol, everyone assumes I must be a dude because women usually don’t get into the fish keeping hobby 🤣 but to answer your question, yes just like the other commenter said, it is perfectly safe to use sand! I buy my sand from a pet store from the reptile section as that way I know it is safe for my pet. I do not recommend getting sand from outside because you never know what’s in the sand and it could make your hamster sick. I also get some frog moss for my hamster from the reptile section as well. Good luck!

햄스터 평균수명 2년얘기듣고 처음에 충격많이 받았는데 이런환경이라면 일반적인 플라스틱 사육장보다 더 재미있게 살 수 있을것같네요 오래오래 살기를
천적만없으면 엄청번식할듯
스트레스가 덜하면 5년도 산대요 저희집 햄스터도 2년 넘었어요ㅎ

야생화라 하니까 옛날에 햄스터 일광용 시킨다고 밖에 낮은 벽의 케이스에 햄스터놓고 거리감있는데서 지키고 있었는데 벌하나가 햄스터 물통에 와서 물마시니까 햄스터가 야생모드로 들어가서 갑자기 벌 잡아먹던거 생각나네;;

I owned birds for a few years called java finches i tried to buy them a big cage but i just didnt feel like a cage was big enough and i really wanted to create a large indoor aviary but im not in good position to get such an environment set up so i gave the birds to a lady who keeps other birds and takes really good care of them. I had lots of fun and tried to make them as happy as i could but next time i wont buy a bird or pet unless i have a lot of space to give them
This is amazing! You did the right thing. Rehoming animals is so difficult and often needlessly stigmatized - the people who do it for the sake of the animal are awesome :) they definitely appreciated the time they had with you as well!!

Cotton's dumb because humana have kinda made hamsters broken.
They don't live long, and with them being used as pets for a better half of the century, over hundreds of generations, their natural survival instincts were long since bred out of them.
Cotton has no fucking clue what to do that's why he appears as a dummy.
This is still a better enclosure than a cage tho, the naturalist environment is a lot more stimulating than ceaselessly running his ass off on a wheel. And while Cotton would not be able to survive in the wild, here he's the Apex Predator and if he ever fails to find good - it gets handed to him.

I feel so so bad for the hamster a friend of mine had when she was young. just a tiny bit of bedding in a very small cage "so i can clean it up easier" with one little hide and a running wheel too small for its little back. im torn, kids should be more educated and parents more involved. life is so much responsibility... and precious.
,,clean it up easier" i would have better place for my hamster but just work a bit harder to clean the cage, its living just like you so... i also have a hamster and pretty large cage, she's happy everytime she sees me and i guess she likes the cage cause shes just playing with the things inside and not chewing on cage 😃
You know what I'm actually surprised how easy it is to clean big cages! Bin cages to be specific. All those tiny wire cages with multiple levels are so annoying and sometimes nearly impossible to put back together after cleaning.... it just takes a lot more bedding. But that means it'll take a long time for it to actually get dirty. I wish past me knew this so my past hamsters don't have to suffer. I don't have a time machine to change the past tho so imma just spoil the hamsters I have now. Their cages are at least above germanys standard
@@kittenmimi5326 i just get the cage under the shower and clean the stairs, food bowls etc. its just faster i think and thr hamster is chilling in a bowl and someone is looking for it if something happened

what is in cottons burrow ..did you give her bedding or did cotton make her own burrow and put in items found around the enclosure ? thanks ...i'm just curious .
can't check I bought an endoscope, but it doesn't go all the way into the tunnel.I will try to find out
@@hamsterlab1 thanks but please don't disturb her burrow or put yourself out by looking into this matter .maybe when this experiment comes to an end you could find out ....or is this cotton's permanent enclosure set up ?

Feeding hamster is guiding them to where the food is while using our hand as bait. you will get biten if you have slow reaction.
Recently i found a trick to guide them to their food, i blow wind at the hamster from the food's direction.
That is one happy hamster
