Nice one mate, as usual. What a great layout. Looking forward to seeing the next vid and seeing it on the exhibition circuit. Great stuff. Simon. 😊😊
Looking good. Lots of atmosphere. Had missed that the cutting had gone. That was an iconic bit of subsurface architecture and looked amazing.
Fascinating and entertaining as always. You have great ideas and execute them so quickly - I'm really jealous! The layout's coming on a treat and I'm looking forward to the next instalment.
Excellent. Really watchable episode as always, Eric. I love the way you explain your thinking.
And 4D models are brilliant. AND they're under a railway arch. My favourite stop when I lived in Tower Hamlets.
Thanks mate, 4D is cool! Only discovered it recently. They also do some real nice trees! And yes near fenchurch st!
Thanks, Eric, always wished I could model the UndergrounD. Too invested in Southern Region now, so great to watch your videos.
Its never too late to start 😀😊
Looking great Eric... another enjoyable video (voyage of discovery as it were)...
Cheers bud!!
Phew! This regular viewer was getting worried about.the lack of "choppy-choppy".
Great start to 2025 Eric. Going to enjoy watching this come along...
Looking good, shows you how much goes into even a small layout.
Yeah just a little bit of work!
I really love the atmosphere you're creating! Look forward to the next episode ... Happy New Year
You too mate!
...another fantastic post ...keep them coming please......
Will do!
Great update and work and you have had allot of progress thus far. I think you inspire yourself into a plethora of little jobs, but it seems to work very well for you. Great video, Jersey Bill
Im my own worst enemy, too many ideas!
Just love the way you work your way through the issues and come up with a solution. You must be either very persuasive or have a very easy going partner for your model railroad work-in-progress to share the indoor living space as well as having a dedicated outdoor model cabin. 😊
Haha she is great, somehow she puts up with me and my silly ideas!
Great update Eric & a good idea with the bridge combining both rail & road access.
Just needs a fence to maintain the boundary.
Happy New Year.
Colin.
Cheers Colin same to you 😇
Brilliant work as always! Really enjoyed seeing your progress looks great!
Thanks mate 😎 getting there
Absolutely amazing Eric … very amazing, your ability to scrap and restart … you have an artist’s eye … Happy New Year mate, to both you and your missus …. 🙏 Looks superb.
Thankyou! Hope you had a good one!
Wouldn't be a Eric video without you changing your mind. lol Nice one Eric...all coming along nicely. All the best and Happy New Year.
Thanks for the tip with 3rd n 4th rail, was struggling to get Underground stock to run over the middle rail with it sitting to high. Happy New Year
Its worth the sacrifice of a little realism i think, i used to hate cleaning the track as it was a right pig trying not to ruin the conductor rails!
I approve of retaining arches.
If you want to hide the join in the bridge deck between the two bridge pieces you could have two false decks, one that spans the whole of this bridge and the Harefield road extension bridge, and one that only spans this bridge? I think the sides will be easier to hide the join.
I use code 100 track . So don’t have probs with isolater pots. Now I use code 100, instead of fine scale bullhead etc . Reason is I have a few old locos Wrenn dublo . They do not run well on finescale track. So I had to compromise , Most excellent vid .
I started with code100 also and still found it was a pain with the height so sunk them in :)
happy new year eric. caroline.
At first, I did not like the double portal over a single track, but with the road idea it now makes sense. The Warehouses, fences, and Substations all look great. Martin. (Thailand)
Yeah i was a little on the fence slightly so when i had the idea of the road i thought jackpot! 😂
Happy New Year
Good to hear you went full protec-mode with the safety-squints. Did you go for the "breathe-less" lung filter too?
Haha!! Now theres a top tip!!!!
@@UndergroundEric I'm not sure my doctor will agree.
Happy New Year.
Wow this day has actually be good without the horrible parts a new n gauge model train a new train set and a underground eric video eric your videos always make my day much better
If you doing parking spaces temu sell a parking space tape and fits 1.76 and 1.87 scale cars ive used it very good
Thanks ive had a look but couldnt seem to find them, though i think painted usually looks better if able as you can make it look worn
The early bridge looked a bit strange, not having an arch offset so that there was space for the "removed" track ! Rotating the bridge has much improved the look, but I find it hard to judge from the later video shot (34:18) if it is enough. Perhaps you could use weathering to hint that the remaining track alignment has been changed since the track removal. I also wondered, if in its originally proposed position (15:50), would a signal box have had its blank back wall facing a complex set of points ? Obviously this is not an issue, now that it is replaced by the road, but it must limit where you can realistically place a signal box.
Nice job!
4D is a place I can spend hours in, and lots of money. Nice to see you work through things and it's not one of the perfect first time kinda layouts.
thanks for the effort and time in putting this online.
They do everything its great! Super handy place to visit i need to go back already 😂
