Why?
Some doctrines can be harder and harder to understand and explain. We love all and don’t want to become a stumbling block for some. We leave those discussions to parents who we think have more time to approach them in the ways they best see fit.
Please read from the Bible, Galatians 1:8-9
I love the Bible!
Disappointed in this video, loved the other ones.They avoided discussing the items in the proclamation such as the roles of a father and mother, marriage between man and woman and discussing the blessings. It felt like watching a video just about families in general.
Hopefully they can improve next year's video, be bold but loving. Don't beat around the bush!
Thanks. There was a fair amount of debate about that. We felt we did the family honor and justice, but decided to leave more of those parts to parents to teach how they’d prefer and how it works best for them. Sorry to disappoint. We do still work hard to do our best.
I was so not dissappointed! I absolutely loved this because sometimes people who are not of our faith get so much hung upon some little parts of the proclamation that they don't want to hear the whole picture of it. I was able to share this with non members and it opened up some further discussion that we were able to guide and better answer some other questions.
Besides not all of us, and specially not all children, belong to families that fit "the perfect mold" and this video felt heartwarming and welcoming and teaching of doctrine in a way that made us all feel the love that God has for all of his children despite whatever families they may come from. The main disclaimer the videos have always made that this is not supposed to be the only source of Come follow me and that if we want to know more we have to hit the scriptures is perfect. They are not an official Church page and therefore this companion videos are perfect to be used in the home along with our own ways of teaching.
I can't wait to see the next one!!! these videos are soooooo good!! 😁( i bet you won't respond to this)
