Oooh Grace. Your story about the homeless man made me cry. "I knew that you must've worked for Jesus. Because He would've stopped too." That is the gospel. We all work for Jesus. Or at least we should. Thank you for the beautiful reminder of what that looks like in action.

My take away? It is humorous and serious all at the same time... Whenever I feel like my life is super crappy, I just need to remember that I am in the process of being "dunged". It is for the purpose of giving me everything I need to not only grow, but to become a County Fair prize winning, blue ribbon pumpkin (or whatever plant or vegetable you turn out to be) 😂

David, Grace and Emily, you three have been so much a part of giving me the strength that I needed from God's word and have helped so much to build my understanding of God's character, and to become one in Jesus like He is in God!!! I hope to someday in the millennium or in heaven to be able to show you how important your great teachings of God's lessons are to one of His precious daughters 💖🙏💖

As Grace was talking about "burning" it reminded me of the year that Yellowstone National Park had all those huge fires. It was so sad to go there the next year and see all the dead trees, but as we continued going every year, we started noticing a green carpet that turned into many (and I do mean MANY) trees over the years. It turns out that the biggest way that the lodgepole pine seeds sprout is through fire- the heat makes the seeds open and sprout. Without the tragedy of fire, the forest would not be renewed!

Jacob 5 has been brought to life for me. Thank you so much! It is difficult to understand at times and the two of you have helped me to view it differently. Grace, your love for others is so evident in all you do. This sweet man on the streets of Sacramento was blessed because of your love.

v 11-He isn't just saving us from "someithing", He is saving us "unto myself". Helps us along the path back to Him. Helps us to help others do the same. Thanks for all you do.

burning down just sprouts the seeds, how many time's does the Lord plant new things in your life . I feel the Lord burns me down just to make new some place else. I don't think I would grow without this. Jacob 5 is one of my favorites to read.

Watching as I think through my lesson for tomorrow and loving that so much that I felt and recognized in my study this week was similar to yours! Felt like an awesome discussion with you, even though you couldn’t hear my input- lol. Thank you for your insights and testimonies.
One specific thought I will voice for another POV- I don’t think Jacob was nervous when he finally had time to talk to Sherem (and I say it that way because I picture him as a very busy prophet and family man!). His faith had already been proven, plus I can only imagine that he’d spent plenty of time praying about this man and asking for help with the situation. Pretty much the “if you are prepared ye shall not fear” idea.
K- love these discussions so much!

Years ago David McClean did a play called “The Garden”. This reminds me so much of the garden that the Master loved and took care of and would not leave. Giving life, safety, redemption, a purpose to all who were in the garden. It was so good, I wish they would bring it back

Thanks...just wanted to add, in a Journal Edition of Book of Mormon 2024.."Come, Follow Me - For Home & Church" there is a beautiful picture of the Allegory of the Olive Tree!! There are so many beautiful pictures that young children (Of ALL ages!!! jus saying!) can color & cut out to create a "story" to understand the Book of Mormon more. Thanks for all you two do for some of the most insightful, meaningful, Spiritual lessons...God bless
