1988 ASC/McLaren Mustang goes to Auction at Russo and Steele Newport Beach 2014. A quick overview and then the actual coverage of the car crossing the auction block. These fox body Mustangs were converted from notchbacks to become 2 seat convertibles. This example had just over 50k original miles.
American sunroof did a lot of work for Chrysler. Before I retired I seen a lot of great custom work from American sunroof . Thanks for the memories Rich.
Thanks for checking it out Steve, I think they did the Lebaron or K car convertibles for a while right?
You are good. Yes both.
No - it was a converted sedan - not a hatchback.
They were notch back cars not hatchback. That's a notchback trunk.
That was a good buy on that cool car.
Thanks for watching always appreciated. Hope you had a great weekend!
When I was in middle school one of the older kids from the neighborhood name Jimmy had a yellow one.Aloha, Oregon

It looks like it started life as a Coupe model rather than a fast back? I don't know for sure, can't be to valuable though !
Actually hatch backs Lawrence...look how long the rear deck lid and trunk are are....they haven't quite found their collector car status just yet. Thanks for watching!

Interesting for sure. I've never heard of this American sunroof company.
They did a bunch of conversions and in many cases are the actual builder of OEM convertibles, sun roofs and soft tops to this day.
Car is worth double now at minimum
6k wow more than I guessed.lol
Have to say I am not a big fan of these and they have never really caught on as a collectible fox just yet.
