Absolutely brilliant - best one yet. Great to see someone live though the tough squatting years in Bristol, then jail - and become an usassuming genuine individual. Nice one Chris. Buy I Gurt Pint
These guys never got the credit they deserved, The Perdition EP stands as a testament to how great they really were... so happy to see this. A huge influence.
Great interview with a nice guy, thanks for producing it! I was part of the UK Bristol punk scene as a manager, promoter and punk fanzine creator (interviewed the Damned etc). I'm now in mental health also lol. I have a 70's 80's punk Facebook page btw!
Chris happened to come across your interview here , its surprising how many kids in Clevedon , Portishead and Nailsea etc got into music and wanted to do something creatively. Ive got memories of watching Chaos U.K rehearsing in a scout hut behind the Poacher , Portishead , (used to grab a pint in the pub and walk round to watch them) , also memories of Taf on the Clevedon pub crawl circuit hic! , in fact i saw Taf when he played bass in the X-Certs at Portishead youth club pre-Disorder. I can also remember you and a couple of guys , in punk garb , i think possibly Andrew Boulden was with you outside Clevedon Comprehensive School gates one time ha ha. One anecdote i have is me and some others taking the "Never Mind the Bollocks" album to the top music room (Mr Moodys) where he had a record player , we opened the windows , put the album on and turned up the volume full blast , it was on a break , but strangely we never got caught ha ha.(kids eh!).Anyway keep rockin and rolling Vince.
Wow, that was one of the best interviews I've ever watched. Love the questions and love Boobs. Still can't believe I sold my "Perdition" records years ago.
That was a great watch. Absolutely fascinating. I had Under The Scalpel Blade back in the day. Saw a lot of punk gigs in Darlington. Not sure if I saw Disorder or Chaos UK cos, you're right, there was a big drinking culture at the time. Anyways, Disorder are playing down the road in Brighton in a few days. Might pop along
Good point because in the eighties all those songs ment something si much relevant to what it's all meaning now , bands like DISORDER & Dishcharge ment so much for the planet & human beings & rights this is a great live video of boobs unfortunately I never saw DISORDER, but I was around in the squatting yrs of the eighties in London great times , Brilliant boobs thank you so much for that interview. Much respect for a eighties old uk punk 🙏🏴🙏
Hell Yeahhh , THANK YOU VERY MUCH for that interview with a great HC singer . Lol , many old pankas from that generation learn psychotic stuff ... think we have had an emotional false thing in our head lol PS: Please try to get Mower or other from CHAOS UK ... please . Greets from germany
"i dont feel pasionate enough about anything to really scream about it."... so true, as time goes by, nothing really matters. the world is a hole full of shit
I went to see DISORDER in Ljubljana/Slovenia, ca. 1985, but they never crossed the Yugoslavian border. 6 hours in a dirty train and then kissed the door. Well, the consolation prize was few hardcore bands from Ljubljana, U.B.R, TOŽIBABE, EPIDEMIJA, ODPADKI CIVILIZACIJE, maybe some more, i forgot. I was 16/17 then, good times
I loved, and still do love the sound of Under the Scalpel Blade. One of my favourite records. Trivia: I brought the LP for 80p and an Exploited badge when they played at the King Arthur in Warminster, Wiltshire.
