Thank you for doing this. Great questions and thoughtful responses. Stig seems like a very balanced and mindful individual despite many personal hardships.
Nobody gave a toss about Amebix until pretty much the 90s when people like Sepultura , Neurosis , Winter ( of course ) , Napalm Death , Celtic Frost if memory serves and many others " famous " bands begun wearing Amebix T - shirts on stage , mentioning them in interviews as a big influence etc, etc . At least that is how I was introduced to Amebix in the very early 90s .
First heard their music in 1989 on Monolith which I bought after listening to the first track "Nobody is Driving". The music was different to the stuff I was listening to, but the album steadily grew on me, and today I love it
@@SuddenStorm982 Exactly the same here. Tbph, I didn´t "get it " at all at 1st listen. It was simply too much : -too raw; too outside of the scope of what I was listening to at the time basically. Wasn´t until later in the early 90s that I realized the genius in that ( basically after having got into things like early , Swans, Godflesh and all the good stuff I still enjoy till today. ) Tau Cross is an incredible project too. Lov(ed ) that band too.
I have a load of photos of amebix and disorder playing in port Talbot. If you want some copies I could scan and email them on. Good gig . Enjoyed the video.

Excellent stuff. This is the best one of these interviews I've seen yet.

Great questions and time seen to be had. Thanks for uploading and keeping us occupied with these videos while we’re stuck inside! Cheers
Loving these interviews with some of my fav 80s bands
Much respect for this man
I loved Amebix as I understood where they were coming from, I was in London living the same sort of life.
I'd love to hear both Rob and Chris discuss their esoteric knowledge and how their interest in the occult began.
