@@italian1hero oh ok! i really don't mean to offend you, this was my interpretation from the video. what i was trying to point out was that you had repeatedly mentioned times you have helped someone or was kind to them, to justify why you should get the money. which overall makes sense, it's nice for someone who often helps to get a reward. however the way you were using your helpfulness to try and win the money, is abusing the ability to help others. it sounded like you were using the fact you helped someone to prove you are a good person, which is not necessarily reasoning to prove that. it simply does not make sense to help someone then turn right around and use it to try and get money. it's not fair to the people you helped or the other people within the video who desperately need the money. all i am saying is that you should not expect a reward for doing good things for others, or abuse it as a way to receive things. i'm not saying you intentionally did these things, it's simply what i understood from the video. i'm sure you are a great person and the times you said you helped others in the video sounded really nice!

Why is someone more deserving of money if they have less? You understand that what a fiat currency represents in all modern civilization, right? Fundamentally, it's an abstract marker that rewards the provision of value. Carpenters are given money because they offer a service of value to their client. People spend money on cars because it is acknowledged the manufacturer is creating a valuable object, and the purchaser is paying for the company to continue doing-so.
Marcus could be argued as the most deserving of the money, but this would not be a factual argument, and relies on one's (VERY SUBJECTIVE) beliefs about human affairs. The primary and underlying thrust of the argument, inevitably, is that Marcus is/was victimized by circumstances. Otherwise, why are we eliciting sympathy for his being a vague presence in his son's life, and not generating enough financial well-being to afford a place? The sympathy, furthermore, is unwarranted as we are not privy to the true history of his current situation, beyond dodgy references to a physical injury (why does it prevent him from using a shared bathroom?) Our reaction would be totally shifted had he spent his previous savings on the stock market, or motorcycle, prostitutes, w/e.
To loop back, it's not an obvious moral decision to allot value-rewards to those who merely elicit sympathy. When thought through, and specifically in this video, what one is also doing is indirectly punishing those who have generated a livable income by providing valuable goods or services to their market. So, I'm just saying, it's worth thinking through why you feel it's obvious that the most emotionally evocative tale is that which most captivates your intuition of deservedness.

The one dressed like Mario is annoying me so much. He’s such a “nice guy” and by that I mean the type of guys who constantly expect things for being nice and only do good things for something in return for example, treating a girl but he expects sexual favours yk that sort of guy. I really hated how he treated Marcus and made him feel bad at the end for getting the money. Marcus definitely needed it the most as he doesn’t have the most basic human requirement, which is adequate place of living. The girl in the blue was a really good mediator I love her personality! In all of these episodes there’s always someone like the girl in blue and people like that are necessary in society.

This is the most heartwarming episode of 1000 to 1 I've watched, with such a wholesome group of people. Marcus definitely deserved it out all of the participants and also to Cyrene, Jonathan, Chris, Alaina, Tiger and Debbie, you were all amazing to watch because of your kindheartedness and supportiveness of each other's life struggles and difficulties 👏.
P.S: way better to watch than the bias "Shakera" episode...which had the comment section turned off for obvious reasons.

This is literally the best episode of this series. Everybody really felt for each other so they were taking time to talk about their situation. No one (except kinda chris) was just selfish and rude.

To be honest, most of the questions Chris brought up did help the video progress well, they were thought out. Some people think that asking what a person has done for good to determine if they deserve the money or not is wrong, like a good deed is only done for something in return, but honestly that's why most of us don't want Chris to win the money. He was targeting someone just because he voted him out first and showed that he was petty and, at least in this situation, a person capable of less good. Those questions just seem to get out the words Marcus needed to say to win. It is honorable and nice that Marcus didn't want to play the disability or sympathy cards, but he did seem to need the money more and Chris unintentionally got him to spill the beans. It was nice to see that everyone was pretty honest about why the wanted the money, if not needed the money, and they had a bit more chance in there to make sure no ones feelings were hurt by ganging up on them.
He was just making this episode interesting by actually conversing to get to know each other's motives. You guys are just a bunch of wimpy asshats who thinks every mature conversations are confrontational.

First off let me say, I got invited to be in one of their videos and I was super stoked. I watched a few of their 1000-1 episodes and they always end up being a sad story and why they get the money. I told them that I didn't really have a reason for needing the money and he said this one was gonna be different. That there would be no sob stories. I'm a super outgoing person and was stoked to be part of something. To get voted out immediately, sucked. Not only that but although my needs weren't really that great, but at least 2 of them had reasons that I kinda feel like we're much less than me wanting to take my family down to visit my wife and I families. I didnt want it to just be over and me sulking on the couch and they weren't really offering any forms of deciding.
I also cringe watching how I reacted. Haha I was definitely salty.
As far as mentioning helping people,
THAT is actually on my list of things I like to do. I've always tried helping people (if given the opportunity) my entire life. I love the smiles and relief it brings the people I help.
I see too often people just walk by those that they could help so consumed with their lives they can't take a second to assist someone.
I knew Marcus was getting the money. So I wanted to feel like he wasn't doing it because he had just avoided helping himself, but because he truly needed it. I mentioned him renting a room because he mentioned he was couch surfing. He has 3 jobs and gets disability so it doesn't make sense to me that he's in that situation and not doing something himself to change it. But I understand there are certain circumstances so I was never mad or disliked the dude. He seemed like a dope dude. And he sang really good. Everyone there was pretty awesome. Tiger was interesting. I'd have to hang out with him more to form an opinion. Lol I had fun being in the video and would totally be in another one. Not one where I'm automatically losing.
Also I never NEEDED the money like I said in the video. I wasn't there because I needed it. I was there for an OPPORTUNITY to win 1000.
