As an owner of both the S23 Ultra and the A54, I'm not going to lie, and 100% honest here. Outside of the better cameras on the Ultra and better processor, when you factor in value, everyday use, and expandable storage, plus the flat-screen and feel of the A54, I really can't tell much of a difference day to day. The features and the gap between these "entry-level" phones and the higher end are so close that it's hard to justify the extra $500-$700 outside of the hardcore fans who must own the latest and greatest top-of-line phones. I would be happy to use my A54 daily and not be mad about it, it's that good of a phone.

The A54 is a proper phone. The big minus is that it only support 25watt and doesnt even come with adaptor. The redmi is literally above the A54 pretty much in everything just lacking of long term updates. But most people change their phones after 5 years or so and no midrange user really bother about updates.
@@yellow_flash813 Exactly... which is so much baffling... All of the samsung phones where I live are selling for so much expensive prices than US or other countries that it somehow literally makes iPhones look cheap and better value.
@@yellow_flash813 Also it should be cheaper to buy their phones because the average income of the people in our country is not that high compared to most countries
I had the A54 for like 6 months, a bit laggy at first but after 1 big update the problem is gone, it's one of the most comfortable phone to hold without a case. The only major drawback for me is the charging speed, 25W is not acceptable in 2023, they think slower charging speed will increase battery lifespan, in reality, if your phone charge slowly, you'll probably use it while charging more often, that heats up the battery and shorten its lifespan
3:14 Not a fair comparison, because Samsung drains a lot of battery in idle, plust it gets toasted too on idle. So, in reality you will find urself needing to charge the Redmi phones less when compared to Samsung phones.
A54 is 60% more expensive than the Redmi Note 12 Pro ($250 vs $400 where I live right now). They're pretty close, but with Redmi you get a case and a charger. However you lose out on a bit of performance, camera quality and software updates. I think the Note 12 Pro should be compared to the A34 rather than the A54. I got the Note 12 Pro for my uncle as he didn't want to spend more than $200 on a new phone, probably would've went with the A54 if his budget was higher, but I think the Redmi will serve its purpose. As someone who has been using only flagships for the last 10 years, I am very surprised by what you can get for only $250. Yes it is obviously still not as good as the $1000 Galaxy S series e.g., but honestly considering the price is 4x times lower, the phone itself is not 4x times worse. I'd say you get 2/3 of the flagship phone for only 1/4 of the price.
