I'm planning something similar and was wondering if you could clarify what documents I'd need as a Spanish temporary resident student with the (NIE id) with a foreign driver's license. thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate it. As far as the document needed, I gave them my US drivers license as ID, and a credit card to pay the full insurance cost. Foreign drivers license should be fine. I would double check that you are allowed to drive in Spain.
How much deposit is needed for car rental
@@peterjohnston4472 It depends, if you book a car with full insurance, then you will not need a deposit. Only a gas deposit. I am not sure how much deposit will be if you don't take full insurance.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I did book the full insurance option at the rental desk. I am not 100 percent sure if you can pay the insurance in cash. However, I will find out for you.
So you can pay for insurance in cash, however you will need to leave a credit card on file for any accidentals such as fuel not being full.
@@KofD187 Hello, it is necessary a credit card on the name of the driver? for example if I book online the car with the full insurance, can i leave the deposit for gas in cash? and also i saw that is not needed for a deposit, so why they need a credit card? Thanks
@@boxeras18 No it is not necessary for the credit card to be the same name. Wiber will only use a credit card for Gas deposit and incase you get a ticket. You will get the deposit back when you return the car with a full tank.

I reached out to them by email to get a quote for the full insurance for the amount of days I needed the car. So I knew already what I needed to pay in the office.
Did need to pay a deposit?
No, you won't need to pay the deposit on the car. You will need to pay an 80 euro gas deposit fee with a credit card. I am not sure if they will let you pay this in cash.
