Phil your father feels like a old friend showing us round the place keep it up he’s so knowledgeable worth every second
"It'll get the pension shortly" 😂😂
Some classic that pretty rare now adays too. Your old boys knowledge of stuff is brilliant too.
He knows a lot about his tractors
Love listening to father Phil 👍👍👍👍👍
My first tractor to driver on my own was a mf 135,I was 7.
Over 30 odd years ago now. 😆
Love the Massey's.
Love it mate 🚜
We love father Phi his knowledge of the machiny is something so wonderful . We look forward to next time. We love Ireland and what farmers have to but up with. God Bless and peace to you all.🐔🐔🎄🎄🍀🍀🎄🎄🍻🍻🎄💯💯
Great 👍 video farmer 👩🌾 Phil like the father Phil talk about the tractors 🚜👍👍🚜🚜😌😌🇬🇧🇬🇧👩🌾👩🌾🏴🏴😷😷thanks for the video over the year keep safe
Massey Harris and ferguson merged in 1953 ,and test experimental tractor were tested from 1953 and a agreement must have been made where ferguson successfully promted them to manufacture the 35 and tooling must have been already made before the meeting in San Antonio texas in march 1954 which harry ferguson did not attend as he was in poor health, I think the tvo 35 would have been harry Ferguson's own personal input into the project as he always wanted to manufacture a tractor engine that ran as smooth as a rolls Royce car it was farmers who prompted the diesel engine economics and frank perkins was the first one to fit diesel engines the previous tvo ferguson 20 diesel and fordson majors, it was quite reluctantly that ferguson manufactured ferguson 20s with diesel engines after seeing how popular frank perkins conversions were, why I think the 35 tooling was already made before the meeting was there was a ferguson Ltx or te 60 that was also built and tested and harry ferguson wanted it produced and if it had to be produced it would have competed with the fordson majors of the day, but the reason it was shelved and drawings test models destroyed bar 1 that survive in the uk until 1974 was no1 harry ferguson wasn't at the meeting and no 2 the Detroit Michigan plant wasn't going that well at the time it was in the red and it was decided to build the 65 of as much of the 35 components as possible to fill the demand for the bigger horsepower tractor market using tooling already in place as it would have cost too much to re tool plants to manufacture the te 60 as it was a different tractor, the to 35 was launched in the usa in January 5 ,1955 was green and grey, launched in London uk in 1956 in grey and bronz , 1957 they changed colour from grey bronze to grey red after 73655 retaining the ferguson badge up front and side along with button bonett until the ferguson system badge was introduced in June 1958 retaining the push button bonett until 1959 when latch bonnets were introduced 1960 perkins engine were bought 1962 35x was introduced and produced continue till 1964,
How lovely that your dad kept his first tractor. Can't wait to see which classic you've bought. Great video. Thanks.
Another brilliant vintage Thursday keep them coming
I will be showing this video to my Dad tomorrow cos he will love this after having plenty experience with TVO engines back in the day. Cheers from Cork!!
Great video lads, ur dad should have his own channel for vintage tractors 👍👍👌👌
It wouldn't surprise me if you were after sorcing the ferguson 20 that was on the farm in the early days or after buying one with a longford registration to have the link back
Another great video Phil. I wouldn't paint it myself. I would put a new condenser and spark plugs and spark plug cables on it tho.
Great wealth of knowledge from fp keep up the videos
I bought my first tractor it was a massey 135 spent a fortune doin it up and sold it for less 🤣 how many times have ya heard that
Great vid Phil brings back memories the first tractor I drove on my own was a Ferguson 20 , about 4 years of age twas very common for young fellas to drive tractors & these Fergie’s Were Tops as the clutch brake throttle and steering were all within reach and if you were too small you you stand up off the seat and still drive it 💪
Great times i bet Shane.
That was the only way to drive it until you gained a bit of height and weight. Jump on the clutch and brake 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Interesting video!! Your father could have his own channel ..on all things Vintage & the olden days! 🤠
bonjour encore une belle vidéo avec un magnifique Massey très très propre 👍👍👍👍
My father had a gold belly FE-35 diesel. He traded it in for a new 135 in 1969 and I think he got £100 for it at the time. He got a grant for the 135 too. His brothers told him he was mad. Both of them both one later on but his is still going strong today. I would love a FE35 myself. His was painted red after he sold it too
Loving these older tractor videos Phil, keep them up 👌
Great video phil good to hear dad talking about it, can we see father phil repairing the combines in the winter one day?
Would ye ever sell the jf single chop and if you would what is it like on the inside on the flales and things or is it in good nick
Is the latest addition a Massey Ferguson 65 mk2
Your da should start his own channel
Never heard of a 35 tvo, interesting
I got a Ferguson ted20 TVO the only thing that’s not original is the tyres and the fuel tank it’s a 1953 model the problem with the TVO up here in Shetland is the weather is too cold for it so u could never get it hot enough to put onto TVO 😂
Great video Phil 👍 how many tractors, working and vintage do u have in total?
The upside down date stamp is night shift
The correct way up is day shift in the foundry
A ford super dexta 🙈😂😂can u do like a Christmas special for vintage. Thx 👍🏻
The tin work is like new on it original is by the looks of it
Sehr schöne Traktoren
Hi phil..where do ye buy the cattle ration? I know ye grow a lot of your own just wondering if any was purchased.the cattle look great
We buy our balancing ration of Kiernan milling
Are Kiernan s good to deal with?
Fair tractor
Phill ur father is goldin with his talks
Very interesting 😊👍
Could you do a video on the nutfeild and is that the tractor
Would you ask father phil why the battery on my 35 wont charge until you rev it up to almost flat out, charges away no bother then afterwards at any revs?
Is it a dynamo or an altenater? asked Father Phil
@@FARMERPHIL3690 dynamo
Take your cover off the regulator and check to see that there is no corrosion on the points in the regulator. The regulator is under the dash at the steering.
@@FARMERPHIL3690 sound for that, I'll give her a bit of a sanding down tomorrow get rid of the rust there 👍 what would be the story with it if it was a alternator she had instead of the dynamo?
Thank god was getting worried that there wouldn't be a other vintage Thursday
Did you buy a leyland or an international
Great tractor right little work horse
I can't finde the first video off this traktor... can ue link it?
Please do the Nuffield next
Fordson super dexta feels like it could be it
Nice one men👌🏻. Phil was it Maize / Beet you’s said you might be sowing next year? I remember ye said ye were sowing beans and one of beet/maize but forget which one . Cheers 👍🏻
He could be doing a major u turn . Things are high risk in Beef right now . Could be a major collapse . Certainly ominous times for British Farming, they may still buy Irish ☘️ beef . Only God knows now lad . At least Phil’s dad has his family reared . There are tough times ahead for Phil man 🙏🏻 May God be good to them 🙏🏻
@@ghostrider7688 Wont be a bother on Phil lad , They have the contracting and hopefully the Potatoe venture takes off 👍🏻 Them boys won’t be stopped by brexit ha
Up The Reds they will adapt surely they have survived many a hardship in farming fair dues 👍🏻
Cheers lads. Also it’s maize we’re going to grow
Great video as always
I hope ye will get running some day
Hi Phil love the video as usual. Does father Phil know that the last of the grey Fergie 20 were badged Massey Harris Ferguson, I was amazed to find that out I always thought Massey wasn't involved till after the gold belly was produced, so there you go
The serial plates said Massey Harris Ferguson from 1953 after the merger.
@@CowfarmerDan I guess so but here I Ireland my dad owned a tef 20 from new purchased in 54 just with Harry Ferguson's signature?
Is it a Fordson super dexta u bought? Best ytber going keep the vids coming
Is the tractor the uncle bought a Leyland?
When are ya going to finish the shed?
Soon😂
Father had same tractor lying in shed were it will ever go again is another thing
Massey Ferguson for the new update tractor model
Great video
very cool
If the date is written upside down it means that it was made on the night shift
Is it a Tw Ford
Fordson major
Is the next tractor a ford 6710 ?
Hopefully
Was that tractor know as a gold Belly or Copper Belly Ferguson ?
We always known it as a gold belly
They used to paint the golden belly the gray red because they couldnt sell them the gray gold
That’s what he was saying but it will look better in its old colours
I know i have one it be a nice job when its done
Same kind of story with the ford 7810 jubilees, most were painted in the normal colours as fellas didn't recognise them as ford
JD 2140
I still think it'll either be an Allis Chalmers or a right old timer field marshall anyway 😂
Ford son super dexta
Ford 4600
Do u have any 20 Ferguson
4 of them I think😂
Fordson major or dexta
Ford 6710
do video on ursus
4512 would be a good video
Fordson
Ford super dexta
Ford 6710?
I've only heard of a yellow belly
The tractor might be a landini 10000
Ford 5000
Massey freguson
Ford 7000
ford 5000
Frist love the vids
I am guessing your dad was 5 when he drove the tractor 1st
He was 6.
