- Welcome to Thistle Cottage! Have you ever gotten the notification to re-check your upper thread, only to find that your thread has shredded? No Problem! I'll show you how to take your machine apart, retrieve the shredded mess, and put your machine back together again, so you can restart your embroidery, right where you left off.
If I could give this a thousand thumbs up I would do it! I am trying to finish embroidering gifts for a Christmas party tomorrow and last night my thread started bird nesting badly on the bottom and looping on the top. I took it apart three times today, took out the bobbin, tried a different bobbin, tried different thread, rethreaded it a billion times, and changed the needle trying to find out what the problem was, but I didn't know that the little part that was hard to get off actually came off. I had tried to get it off earlier and was afraid I would break it so I left it alone. When I got it off, there was the shredded thread! Thank you! You saved my sanity and you saved my Christmas!
Not all hero’s wears caps. You my love saved me today!
You saved my life today......Thank you for this video.....I followed your directions exactly and was able to clear a jam that has been breaking my threads for over a week and it finally stopped stitching today. After following your directions it stitches so much better without breaks. This could have easily been a service charge at my local sewing machine repair shop. AMAZING! Thank you AGAIN!
So glad I found your video. I know exactly what to do to fix the issues my machine is having. Appreciated the straight forward to the point approach explaining exact what needed to be done.
Thank you for this awesome video!! I followed your directions and was shocked at the amount of shredded thread I found! My machine works like new again. I saved on service charge and down time.
Thank you so much for this. I have had my PE 770 in the shop twice for this. Both times the repairman said there was some thread caught inside. Costs over $100 each time. This will help me tremendously.
Thank you so much for your tutorial. I was so frustrated with my machine. You gave me the confidence to keep my machine in great working order.
A million thanks!! This just happened to me and I was debating on whether or not to try and handle the problem myself. So, as I always do, I checked youtube to see if someone had been thoughtful enough to post a how-to video and I found this one. I just pulled the parts of and was able to pull out the shredded thread. Sending another million thanks!!!!
Thank you! Now I am empowered! You saved me a trip to the repair shop.
Thank you so much for your video on thread jam up. I h ave a Brothers PE 770 and experienced the same thing. You gave me the courage and directions to sucessfully fix mine. Thank you again👍
Thank you!!!!! I couldn't get the cover of my machine back on until i saw this video.
I have had a problem like this for over 20 years. I would bring my machine in and have it cleaned. The machine would work fine for a long time then start malfunctioning again. We moved to our retirement home in the north woods and I found another mechanic. He showed me how to service my machine my self and that was very helpful. I bring my Baby Lock CC in for a service once a year. (I have a small business I use the machine for.)
Thank you. Very nicely done and easy to accomplish. Great hints and tips.
This was a very helpful video. You just answered my next question about leaving the threads in there. Thank you
Thank you, this helped me. I had redone the bobbin several times thinking that was what the problem was.
Thank you for this amazing and helpful video!!!
