i'm obsessed with nekomura iroha to an unhealthy degree so i have even More information on her backstory/general history. her character was revealed before anyone knew she'd even be a vocaloid (late 2009, i believe), and was made to promote the hello kitty to issho! project--which was essentially a way for sanrio to market to otakus by attaching young anime girls to hello kitty. other than her backstory with the platinum kitty pageant/audition (which also, funnily enough, implies nepotism since her mom's ancient ass accessories are the reason iroha wins--the judges like the combo of modern + rare, old jewelry her mom gave her), she also was featured in 4komas alongside other hello kitty to issho! characters. despite the with-kitty website being down, you can easily see the whole thing on the wayback machine (thanks to all the lovely people who snapshotted it before it went down around late 2019). the 4komas are like, a LOT and reveal lots of lore about the hello kitty to issho! universe in general, but it also reveals a lot about iroha's "canon" personality. she's mischievous, loud, talkative, funny, loves her dramatics, and can be a little selfish. she's also essentially the main character in the 4komas.

I really love the ice mountain lore, It's pretty fit for a slice of life anime. Pretty sure there's a page on the ice mountain band members on the vocaloid wiki. The bandmates themselves have their own lore, and I think that's actually pretty neat that Kiyoteru, despite the fact he looks just like some regular guy, has some interesting backstory material and friends with their own interesting backstory material.
CUL has a bit of lore too. she's the sister of ROSA, a CEVIO, along with four other sisters of Fuyuki Tsukihana. ROSA was separated from CUL and her sisters because f the danger of the place they lived in and grew up in a church, even changing her name (the rest of the sisters were named a color with CUL following it: ie RedCUL (CUL herself) WhiteCUL, BlackCUL, etc.) but one day CUL found her and told her she was her sister so its more ROSA lore than anything but CUL is my favorite vocaloid so i think its worth mentioning her too
Isn’t there a bit around Mayu too? Like I know she’s canonically a ‘yandere’ but that’s all I know about her. Also wasn’t there an anime with tohoku zunko? And don’t Rana, Yohioloid, Oliver, and Maika all have pets with names too? I think the dark character on Unity-chain’s box has a name (and unity chan herself probably has lore too). She was taken in by an elderly couple who she loved and who loved her in return. Her main obstacle was learning how to be human and struggling with selfish thoughts - and I think something happened to her foster parents? Idk it was insane when I read it back in 2018 Great video!!!

Just FYI because the translation about the Chinese Vsingers you found was worded confusingly (not your fault, there isn't a ton of info on them translated into English): Yuezheng Ling likes fluffy plushes like teddy bears, you can see them in her room. Yuezheng Longya is set to become the next president of the music company him and Ling's parents own - he's not getting into politics lmao. A couple other fun facts about these characters bc I was obsessed with them around the time the animations came out: each character has some sort of mascot creature thing that turns into their instrument - in the animations you can prominently see Tian Dian (which becomes Tiantyi's microphone) and the weird purple plant thing (which becomes Mo Qingxian's contrabass), and in the final animation where they all play at a concert you can see them all transforming into their instruments. In the 2020 Vsinger Live concert there's a point where the characters all stop and sit down to talk, starting with introductions about themselves; during Zhiyu Moke's introduction he talks about liking to dance before getting up to do a small solo dance. My best guess is because the concert was originally going to have a live audience the producers assumed the crowd cheering was going to be enough noise, but because it was 2020 it was just streamed online. For whatever reason they didn't go back and put in any kind of music before the stream though so Moke just dances in complete silence for several seconds. This isn't really lore but this moment is very important to me.

It was unclear whether Po-uta stayed on earth or left to live elsewhere, but it is stated that "he wanted to be with him [Porter] on earth again." Now idk if this is canon or just Porter's interpretation of Po-uta, but it exists and i find it fascinating as a huge Po-uta fan

Po-uta may have a canon backstory, too, if you count his demo song as canon material. According to his demo song, he used to live with his voice provider, Porter Robinson, and looked up to him as a father figure. Unfortunately, because Po-uta is immortal and Porter is a human, Porter dies, leaving Po-uta alone to mourn his loss. After 200 years, humanity has left earth to live in space, while the earth is gray and lifeless. It was unclear whether Po-uta stayed on earth or left to live elsewhere, but it is stated that "he wanted to be with him [Porter] on earth again." Now idk if this is canon or just Porter's interpretation of Po-uta, but it exists and i find it fascinating as a huge Po-uta fan
