One of the many reasons that makes this scene rememberable is Eliot’s hyper awareness of his surroundings and situation. It has been shown many times throughout the show’s runtime that he is able to assess the situation in a short time before reacting, and Hardison knows this. Hardison, being extremely proficient in forgeries, was able to recognize the fake badges. Hardison calmly and clearly states the badges illegitimacy first to signal to Eliot the go-ahead.
Eliot's situational awareness varies according to what's needed by the plot. In this example, if Eliot is so hyperaware of his surroundings, why did his coffee get spilled at all? Why didn't he spot the woman being chased, preemptively move out of the way, and thus keep his coffee unspilled? But that ruins a good line for Hardison, so oh well.
@@Kent-fi2bg Before I explain myself; It’s a very petty thing for you to start an argument on a comment that’s over a year old. Main point: Did you watch the scene? I think your reaction to an innocent response is what's actually petty here. More to the point, I see that you don't understand what it means to be "hyper-aware" of one's surroundings -- and I point out that you mentioned "surroudings" first and foremost. Professionals in violence are in fact constantly aware of what's happening around them, and they don't round a corner without checking unobtrusively and without giving themselves plenty of room to maneuver. You can say what you want about his quick reaction to verbal cues, but good awareness of surroundings was NOT demonstrated in this scene. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it for what it was -- a TV show, but nevertheless.@@SilentZieth
I wonder if Eliot was able to see through the forgeries by himself. Probably can recognize real FBI agents by how they walk or what hair cut they have.
@@wjzav1971 he was actually Elliot is canonically shown to be able to tell what agency or outfit someones from by a number of factors so hardisons seeing through the fake badges just confirmed what Elliot allready knew or suspected

Eliot is my second favorite character on Leverage (first is Parker). I love how he gets worked up so easily. And I especially love his threats to Hardison 😂 never gets old~
Which is funny because Eliot is usually capable of astounding self-control. I guess he can recognize when he needs to hold back and when he can let loose.
That's basically what happened in season 2 episode 7 The Two Live Crew Job ... the crew are up against another crew of thieves that are basically there equals and opposite and Ellots counterpart is female ex-mossad assassin, they fight and than they hook up.
The best part is that Eliot doesn't consider them only one-night stands, he still cares about them. Learns about their lives. And will be a force of GOD if they come to him for help.
+Kate Hu I kind of wish they would make a movie with reunion of Parker, Eliot, Hardson along with Nate and Sophie and do one big scam on the rich jerk and tell us what is Sophie's real name
Good news for you! It’s coming back! It’s gonna be on IMDb tv, and it looks like it’s a sequel with the original cast minus Nate and he’s being replaced by Noah Wylde. Not sure about the new character, except he’s a lawyer who discovers he’s playing the wrong side of the law.
Honestly, if Christian bulks up and learn to growl, he'd be a great Wolverine. Non comic readers wouldn't know but Wolverine is a short king. Christian is the shortest in the group but we but we can buy him kicking the most ass
I wrote a book using Kane as the main love interest, combining eliots personality. Amazingly found a guy with those exact traits and married him. My ret marine husband has the heart of a paladin, and is protective of women, children, animals and people he calls family. Mess with them. You mess with him. My husband even has the insta kill look when he is about to lose his cool. 2 years ago a friend was being threatened by some gang members. My husband sped into the parking lot and got out holding a heavy plumbers wrench and a 5 foot pipe. The men with pewpews got scared and backed off. Husband and friend get into van and race away as fast as the vam could go. At one point taking a sharp corner on two wheels to escape. He walks in acting like nothing happened and my friend was like "This badass terrified gang members." Lol😂

@nittany272 Idk man, after rewatching the episode where he sword fights Angel, I gotta wonder who would be tougher. Think about it, Lindsey had Angel on the run there for a while! (And I say this with all the love and respect due to Angel/Angelus...)
@iloveleverage Dwarfs like the guy who plays Eliot, I mean. Nice to see him benefit from whatever affirmative action plan they're running at the moment.
@SilverPantherSHM re-watching the whole series from start to finish so as soon as I come across it I'll tell you. half way threw season 2 right now so I should be coming up to it soon...
@parkerbonesziva231 I saw it coz my computer decided to run slow. The girl bumps into Hardison, Hardison bumps into Eliot whose coming out drinking his coffee. It all happens in pretty much the first second of this clip
ELIOT SMASH!
I love how later Nate asks "Where's Eliot?"
Hardison: "Oh, he had to go change his shirt. Got some coffee on it. And blood. And teeth..."
CaptEoNinja83 lol! That was the best and the most suitable phrase i ever heart for Eliot! Eliot smah! hahahaha Nice one!
one of my favorite scenes
Lmao
😂😂😂
I'd pay top dollar to see Christian Kane as The Hulk.
Hardison: "You spilled his coffee..."
Me: *Prays for these poor souls*

He does look like Winter Soldier
Eliot vs Thanos!
Elliot and Hardison is just AU Sam and Bucky.
#YouCan'tChangeMyMind
One of my favourite scenes from Leverage, right up there with "What smells like crank and screams like a girl? Right Answer."
My head-canon is that Eliot recognized the "fake-ass FBI badge" line as a signal that he's free to fire at will.

the noise eliot makes when he runs after them is the best part of this scene.
i can't even write something that sounds like it. it's that amazing. :)
Spilling Elliot's coffee is like spilling Gibbs coffee(If you're a criminal).
Daniel Wilson never mess with a marines (or Eliot's) coffee if you want to live. Lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Yesss, NCIS!!!!!!!
Very Special Agent Gibbs: "You'd better have a good reason for spilling my coffee."
I have never seen Gibbs without his morning coffee. We are sailing through uncharted waters.

2 dudette friends of mine told me they have a crush on elliot.

Elliot: I dated a Russian spy
That's a great visual.

There’s a Fanfiction of him fighting John Reese from PoI and it’s written they’re so good at fighting they were gonna kill eachother, no winners
It was very distinctive coffee. 😁
I keep watching it over and over again, and it just gets better
The moment this happened, I laughed my head off.
Love, love, this scene! Never fails to make me laugh!
one of my all-time favorites.
Ha! Love that Eliot and Hardison get coffee together! Yeahhhhh you really dont wanna piss Eliot off.
Eliot and Hardison are the ultimate bromance
"You'd better have a good reason for spilling my coffee." Very Special Agent Gibbs NCIS
They showed up a little later in the episode, still working for the chief bad guy. Eliot offered to get them a cup of coffee..
I love how at they seem scared at him just when they saw his sweet anger face
i love how the guy snorts and trys to look big and bad when hardison says his badge is fake 0:13
If lying doesn't work, intimidation might. Not on the Leverage team, obviously, but in general.
0:20-0:21
Hardison made that look the clearly said, "May God have mercy on your souls."
My favorite show ever
I love it when he beat them up after they spilled his coffee on him. He's my type of guy to fall for on leverage. 😏❤️💕❤️
They do need to bring this back or at least give the 3 there own show
Yes
Trevor Oconnor No. It will just not be the same. All 5 of them or none of them!

More along the lines of just "rules for prolonging one's life"
Don’t run from Angry Eliot, you’ll just get caught tired.
i have seen every episode of leverage and this is my 3rd favorite Eliot scene
I love when Nathan asked where Elliot was Hardisson said hes changing his shirt. He got some coffee, blood and some teeth on it.
OH MY GOD I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOREVER!

Hardison: He had to go change his shirt. It had coffee... and blood on it.
