The only reason people say this is because Shuiasha said they wanted to have the same success as Naruto not to be Naruto. Why would they release a story with something we already seen? Black Clover is one of the most balanced stories to get into for someone who wants a well orchestrated story. Shout out to Tabata paying homage to DBZ, Bleach, and Beserk those are the real inspirations.
Here’s the problem you address the similar paneling in the video, and completely ignore that these similarities exist. We aren’t saying Kishimoto invented any of the troupes necessarily in Naruto however the paneling is so similar it’s just disingenuous to ignore that these parallels exist. The difference between BC and Naruto fans is when it’s brought to our attention we acknowledge where Kishimoto took inspiration from or the things he copies, and parallels BC fans stick their heads in the sand denying they exist. BTW I’m a fan of both series.
@@crimsonredkingdom2656 I mean if you watch the video and just read/watch both shows and their predecessors you can see where black clover inspiration came from. Bleach, Berserk, dragonball and Norse mythology. Parts have similarities because they both take similarities from dragonball and mythology, which no one is denying, but Tabata himself never took anything from Naruto at all, evidently so.
@@crimsonredkingdom2656 So because Jump said they wanted Black Clover to be as successful as Naruto that means everything it does is a Naruto rip off? Idiot Of course they'd want it to be as successful as Naruto. They'd want every series to be as successful as Naruto, Naruto sold over 200 million copies. Also stuff like paneling is such a dumb argument like why does this stuff only applies to Tabata specifically makes zero sense
@@Br0kuIf a person can watch all 1000 episodes (1000 being a conservative number) of One Piece religiously, they can surely take the time to watch all of Black Clover analytically before coming to such conclusions. This isn't even going into the mass amount of more chapters in OP than BC
Even the reasons Asta and Naruto want to become king is different. Naruto wanted to be recognized as human just like everyone else. He wanted to remove the stigma surrounding himself due to kurama. Asta wanted to crack down on the injustice caused by classism in the clover kingdom so even peasants could enjoy life more. Naruto became Hokage more for himself. Asta wants to become Wizard King for the sake of his country.
Idk if you forgot or you never finished watching Naruto but it's only kid Naruto that wanted to be Hokage for himself. In Shippuden Naruto learns what exactly it means to be Hokage. Naruto recognized that the Hokage's job is to preserve peace and become a pillar for his village. Towards the end Naruto realized that being Hokage means that he'd have to devote his live to protect everyone else. This is why he refers to everyone in his village as family. It's actually very selfless.
@PHOENIX I'm my opinion that's more realistic, kids grow up wanting to be jobs like firefighters, police or most notably the president but they don't understand the responsibilities of these jobs and just think it's cool and want the power, it's when they get older that they truly understand what the job actually entails and that most decide to either switch careers or go about thinking about it in a different manner and truly understand the responsibility of the career field
@@djw07williams84 A great take on this trope. I think this wasn't implemented in BC because discrimination is something Asta understood even as a kid. He's always wanted to become Wizard King for the sake of others since he knows what its like to struggle. Julius also pointed out how important his role of dispelling prejudice is in the clover kingdom. The role of WK outside of protecting the nation can be changed based on the person. Hokage is a very straight forward role.
I absolutely do not get people who hate inspiration that much. If you like a manga/anime or any story in general and someone makes another one inspired in it, does that not mean it’s likely to be something you like as well?
@@Lunarinzo , Sasuke in Boruto is a copy of Shanks and Zoro combined into one character, and the army of Dinosaur Soldiers in Boruto copied from the Beast Pirates, so if anything Kishimoto is more likely plagiarizing from Oda than the writer of Black Clover copying from Kishimoto.
People also don't get that just because they didn't like something it doesn't mean it's bad or doing something wrong. It's perfectly fine if some people don't feel interested in BC because they feel it's too similar to something they've already read and prefer something that deviates more. But the problem is that they don't acknowledge that's THEIR problem, not a universal fact that should apply to everyone or a problem of the story. They can't seem to graps that things THEY don't enjoy but can be enjoyed by others are NORMAL. They act like if THEY don't like it, then it MUST be bad. @@natrellfugellion8487 and panel has similarities has been in many manga alot of time plus Naruto in anime sometimes change how the manga fightmlook like on panel
As a writer myself, I've actually come to realize that sometimes during the creative process, similarities to other works kind of just... happen, without even being on purpose! I've actually found myself to accidentally be inspired by hunter x hunter A LOT in the shonen I'm currently writing. Probably more than anything else if I'm being honest, more than my closest favorites like Berserk, Chainsaw Man, and Naruto. Maybe even more than other inspirations I've actually had and implemented on purpose, like Bleach and Jujutsu Kaisen. But again, similarities will always come up between stories because of inspiration, whether intentional by the creator or not.
I'm no writer, but when I've brainstormed these "perfect stories" in my head, I realize I've more or less combined 3-4 of my favorite stories into one. This has happened at least 3 times now, in a row. I vouch with that and honestly, it's pretty funny.
Unfortunately for Black Clover having better female characters isn’t a good enough quality when everything else is massively outclassed by Naruto in every regard
As a Naruto fan, I can confirm this is true. Also as a Naruto fan, I can confirm that this series is one of the best examples of modern Shonen. Especially with this new chapter showing why Yuno isn’t Sasuke!! Edit: And as someone whose in the middle of Berserk, I’m kind of embarrassed for not catching the Berserk parallels until now.
Do people seriously think Yuno was like Sasuke? I never once thought of him being similar expect maybe being a prodigy. People really ignore all the differences between characters to prove their nonexistent point, huh?
Yuno being called a copy of Sasuke is an insult to his character One of the things that got me hooked on Black Clover from the start was a rival that didn’t want the protagonist six feet under or considered beneath them, someone who respects and admires his rival but still strive for the same goal.
People have understood that BC is not desperately trying to copie Naruto. Rather it's telling its own story. Many flawed aspect in Naruto where done better in black Clover. For example: Storytelling Female characters Typical Shonen troupes Fleshed out side characters Ect
@@youngbando2376 dont pretend like naruto side cast aint been mid since og naruto bc clears in females chars no diff and the other two categories are kinda equal
Black clover did what Naruto struggled with, the female characters, the rivalry, and giving everyone a chance to power up and shine. Not just make all the characters OP by making all the side characters not get strong ever again.
I could not watch the part where he references HxH, he litterly made Killua named Kurapika and basicaly merged the two charcters together as kurapika has chain manipulation based abilitys and killua as lightning based abilitys
You know what's funny about the panel where Itachi and Yami look over their shoulders? 🤣🤣Shaman King did it... And you will never see anyone say Kishimoto "stole" a panel from Takei... because that would be stupid ASF.
At first I thought it was clickbait, but those are actually good points. I myself don't know a thing about Norse mythology or older shows so I assumed that Tabata at least read Naruto. I guess I was wrong.
I wouldn't be surprised if some of these ideas were indeed taken from Naruto, but I don't think it would even matter or that that would make it a copy. Clearly the show takes inspiration from a lot of other sources, making not a copy.
The reason we know it's not copying is because Tabata can actually write a female character and have them experience growth at the expense of their male counterparts, or just in general; Noelle. Noelle has amazing development. He can also write amazingly OP female characters who aren't just OP for the sake of having an OP female character; Mereleona. He doesn't just focus on the main guys, in fact Yuno isn't front and centre for a lot of the show, he's doing his own thing. He doesn't introduce and forget old characters or make them irrelevant; Magna. He can write a sensei that isn't terrible; Yami, instead of Kakashi and Jiraiya which are actually terrible mentors who barely taught Naruto anything when you compare them with what Oorochimaru taught Sasuke. Kishimoto relies heavily on talk no jutsu. Naruto is able to convince people who have spent years on their mission in a certain way to change their behaviour, it's completely unrealistic. Obito, Zabuza, Nagato, there's so many ways he just talk no jutsu'd his way out of a mess and saves the day. It's all throwing hands in Black Clover. Tabata isn't afraid of completely killing off an important character or completely ripping a character apart, the super OP ones. The wizard king is a prime example. Fuegoleon was awol for ages. Most people in Black Clover get good powerups that make sense. I could go on for ages.
"Tabata isn't afraid of killing off important characters" Are you sure about that? Cause the Spade kingdom war arc didn't have a single Casualty from any of the main or surporting character, heck Gaja was supposed to die after using a move that used his life force, and then it turned out nah he's ok, and he can do it again. Mimosa is straight up grim Reaper repellent.
@@LokiToxtrocity i dont know why tabata doing that but he was ready to kill off yuno early in the series, but his editor refused, thats why yuno is still alive
Another thing about ocular powers. Odin from Norse mythos literally sacrificed his eye to be able to gain an "all seeing eye" to see future events. Of course there were probably no tomoe, but Naruto fans act like Kishimoto created eye based powers when eye abilities have been around for literally many millennia. And one account I saw tried to say Gauche using Mirror Brigade on Asta was copied from Shadow Clone Jutsu when Tien, in Dragon Ball, *WHICH CAME OUT IN THE 80S (Naruto was serialized in 1999),* literally cloned himself when fighting in a tournament.
"GUYS LOOK THE MIRROR EYE IS IDENTICAL TO THE BYAKUGAN BC IS A KNOCKOFF OF NARUTO" next thing you know they'll be saying the land of the sun is a rip off of the leaf village☠
@Terako Infinity That one Johnny Joestar pfp made a whole thread finding random panels and comparing it to Naruto. I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. Like it pisses me off how they take the time to skim Black Clover instead of actually read it.
It's not so much as people act like kishimoto created eye based powers, people just know that the sharingan is probably one of if not the most iconic eye based power in all of anime. And when something is iconic especially in a given media, it's not so far fetched to assume that the chances for it being the source of inspiration for something in a series in the same media is probably higher than that series taking inspiration from a more obscure source. Like going back to the tengetsu while it could be said that the design took inspiration from the yin and yang symbol it would seem more likely to take inspiration from the sharingan, as why not just use a yin and yang symbol for the eye instead of turning it into several magatama/tomoe design around the pupil? In the manga there isn't even an even number of tomoe/magatama for the tengetsu, there's instead 9. Which wouldn't really fit the whole yin and yang thing. Though it's of course not a copy of the sharingan i still think it's fair to assume that tabata did took a bit of inspiration from the sharingan for it's design, be that done either conciously or subconciously. Since it could be very well a subconcious decision due to again how the sharingan is just so iconic in the anime media.
My friend said the same thing and I asked him what made him an individual. Even if it did 'copy' Naruto, it doesn't really matter because these ideas are skin deep. 90% of anything these shonens come up with were ideas invented before Manga was ever even a thing. Heck the first Shonen could pretty much be Journey to the West.
Happy u did this, have a similar vid in the works as im a huge fan of both series, with Naruto being my 1 and BC being my 2, and the Naruto fandom as a whole has been making me ashamed to be a fan of my own favorite series.
Before I watch: I dunno why people keep saying this. I see bits of One Piece, Bleach and Naruto in Black Clover but for some reason you never hear that "Black Clover ripped off Bleach" or anything like that even though Tabata has literally said that was his inspiration. I think Naruto fans are just butthurt about something. They feel intimidated by Black Clover for some reason and I'm not sure why.
Naruto fandom is toxic lmao. They also say jjk is copy of Naruto tho if you're caught up to the manga you know damn well that's not true. Idk why they are like this lmao😭
@@Br0ku All fandoms have toxic sides There are people in the bleach fandom that constantly berate black clover for being a bleach ripoff Ironically I saw a video on this same topic but for bleach this morning There are people in the Naruto fandom that appreciate the “Naruto similarities” in black clover aswell
Fr it's only naruto fans who won't watch it lmao . Naruto is good possibly the greatest anime of all time ( debatable yes ) but in this Era something that long amd dragged out has become inconvenient, anime creators have found the sweet spot with the newer Shonen making them shorter but still long enough while still maintaining a solid plot and character development. Blackclover took the basics of Shonen and nailed that shit . The fact that noelle became one of my favorite characters in the show ( top 3 ) is nuts . Black clover doesn't overload the show with a thousand characters but really zooms in on the ones it does have male or female . To top it off it's openings are some of the best ever . Black clover is in a league of its own
This reminds me so much of how people insisted MHA was a "ripoff" of Naruto, or the folks before them saying that about Fairy Tail towards One Piece, and in all three instances the only like hard proof they provide on it are incredibly vague, nebulous tropes that could apply to almost every popular shounen series out right now.
Great work broku, as usual you do your research a lot of japanese and norse mythology in Tabata`s work and most recently peter pan . I love to know thhat one of my favorite series is authored by someone who does this much research to create his own works,. Props to Tabata and props to you too for explaining these subtle concepts that manga doesn`t have time to explain, makes a lot so much clearer
Insane what doing more than surface level researching yields. Its like writing stories is more complicated than simply looking at things and 'copying' them. Anyone can trace inspirations of their fav works of art and find multiple sources. We've been beyond the point of inventing, its what can you do to innovate. What about your piece of work is different or unique enough from similar pieces. Similarities are far more common than people realize.
LOLo;)) The funny thing is how another blogger tries to justify Black Clover, but once again screwed up, denying the obvious fact that Asta is Naruto and Yuno is Sasuke.)
Wished you expanded on Ryu's Tengentsu a bit more. It was Inspired by Yamata no Orochi. The dragon, coordination / plan to kill the dragon, cave, eye, magatama, food god, "Herb-quelling" greatsword (Quelling means end, and a herb ended a plague in the land around Hino) all ties to the story. Hino is basically a short, rendition of the story.
They really be thinking that Kishimoto invented every single trope in anime existence. Next thing they're gonna say is an anime is copying Naruto if they eat Ramen because of course Kishimoto invented Ramen.
They are very much similar, but BC is not a Naruto copy. It does hold very closely to the Shonen tropes, but as mentioned here, it adheres to as many as possible. Not just Naruto's. Asta and Yuno legitimately are friends and good rivals, whereas Naruto and Sasuke were almost always in a one-sided friendship or hit list. The general plots behind arcs in Naruto are based heavily in eastern storytelling tropes, but the plots in BC are more based in Judeo-Christianity and Western symbolism. Lineage and fate is a massive theme in Naruto and is almost comically missing from BC, beyond a few prophecies and "nobles are jerks!" Black Clover has the main theme that most people think Naruto has, hard work triumphs over pure talent. This is heavily added to by the fact that Yuno is handed almost every single possible amp in the series, but Asta is still catching up with a sword and a technique not even unique to him. Asta is what would happen if Rock Lee was the MC of Naruto.
@@D_Owo No, but that would have made him way cooler and explained why he can't manipulate chakra. Then he could have used that power to an extent to protect himself from jutsus. It may have broken the theme of him getting powerful without the use of magical powers, but it would've been better at it than how Lee turned out in the show, getting sidelined to make way for entities of massive power.
@@thearcanehunter2736 that would just make him op tho lol. rock lee is already strong af if he had an entity that could negate chakra then he could literally just no diff anyone in the naruto verse due to hax alone
@@D_Owo I'm not thinking to the same extent as Asta. It should definitely have reasonable limits, and wouldn't be his primary thing. It would just be a thing that maybe allows him to negate one or two attacks a fight, which could let him be relevant in fights against high-end enemies via well placed timing while not making him ridiculously overpowered. Of course, it's Naruto, so if he did get that ability Kishimoto would have taken it to the extreme. In fact, considering that apparently Chakra Absorption is a thing in Naruto, it's already taken to the extreme. If they gave Lee a budget Chakra Absorption (doesn't even need to be because of a demon, like maybe he was born with the ability or something) than he could have actually been much more relevant in an interesting way. Though I don't really believe this is what the character needed.
I think the hard work beats pure talent is best shown with dante. Sure yuno has a lot of talent but he still works and trains hard to get stronger which is why he's so op Dante meanwhile relies heavily on his natural talent and deal with lucifero. This is exactly why he gets beat. He constantly relies on his op talent and looks down upon anyone he deems weak. Magma really said it best dante never actually ran out of mana thanks to his abundance of talent and mana so when finally fights somone 1 on 1 that can actually stand up to him, he loses
I liked the squad system It helps alot by having the focus of the story not only fixed on the mc only and his rival. This helps develop the other characters and their relationship.
Asta actually worked for all of his success unlike naruto who was gifted since birth The thing is, even if tabata is copying naruto, hes still doing everything better than kishimoto ever did
@kosen-chan5151 so you're telling me canceling out other people's attacks isn't in any way shape or form op? also I should have worded that correctly I forgot asta doesn't have any special unique or iconic abilities compared to other protagonists
@@jamesjameson9524 it is only powerful in the hands of asta, ur talking as if deku or naruto had this power they could have done shit. About the cross part, I wanna talk about it a bit more. First off, I haven't seen naruto in like 4 years, but I believe his cross eyes are the fusion of kurama mode, the cat-like slits and the horizontal frog shape from sage mode. Kishimoto just damn did smth basic but very effective. Elaborating further, the cross is a very highlighting symbol. I did a month-long exercise in architecture uni for buildings and art that utilise crosses. I kid you not, it is so damn common. Think even at window division, basic simplicities. It can be used to divide evenly or not into 4s and light plays a major role in its complexity. As something round emits light, the rays usually at a distance form a cross, hence the slit-cross shape in stars even little kids draw. Many Rennaisance churches here in europe use a cross in their "skeleton" or shape it. I find it jaw-droppingly stupid to find a similarity and complain about copies due to a cross shape Jesus Christ.
I think peoples only problem with Tobata and BC is that he’s way more deliberate and obvious with writing his inspirations. And tbh I respect him much more for it because of just how much he can make his inspirations his own. This was an incredible breakdown and very well thought out. Honestly though, you could've just boiled it down to "look at the female characters" lol. Almost all of the female characters in Naruto are completely useless while almost all of the female characters in BC are not only incredibly well written with depth and development, they absolutely kick ass. Sisgoleon alone is the absolute GOAT. Noel has probably had the most interesting story arc of the series, going from unbearable to undeniable. Lolopechika is so endearing and hits you in the feels when she breaks down. Even Mimosa, who easily could've gotten the Sakura treatment, has managed to shine through and establish herself as an essential character. The most important thing though, despite their flaws, of which they each have many, and perhaps because of them, they're all likeable and memorable and you actually wanna see more of them.
Sasuke and Yuno only share the similarities of being a prodigy and the rival of the main character. Motivations, backstory, ect are all completely different.
Prodigy...sasuke...the same sasuke where we see flashbacks after flashbacks that he isnt that much when he was a kid and had to shape up after his clan got murked and got traumatized
@@itsjustvin7630 Sasuke was still held in the same regard as characters like Neji who was regarded as a prodigy all of part 1 Naruto. Was he a Minato or Itachi level prodigy? No. But he was still far above the other students his age. Sasuke went from being essentially one shot by Lee to embarrassing Gaara in a very short time. It took Naruto until the Pain arc to surpass Kakashi while Sasuke far surpassed him during the time skip.
I don't ACTUALLY believe that BC copied naruto. I know for a fact that this opinion is objectively wrong. But nothing makes me happier than going in some twitter thread about how good BC is and then calling it "Copy Clover" and overall trashing on the series. Then I turn off my notifications and only turn them on a week later and spend my Friday night scrolling through all the death threats and people who definitely have my actual address and ip address
even if their goal is sort of similar, atleast Asta progress towards his goal as the story goes. Asta actually tries to prove himself and wants to rise the ranks meanwhile Naruto was still a genin at the end of shippuden.. Naruto main goal was ment to be him becoming hokage yet he never showed any progess of it apart of yelling that he will be hokage. then Asta was someone who actually has no magic when magic means everything so he trained his ass off to compensate, while you can argue that Naruto has the most broken genetics + the strongest tailed beast inside of him, dude is a son of previous 9 tails jinchuriki, so Kushina already had insane chakra levels for being Uzumaki and Minato had insane chakra levels too (he was able to seal half of Kurama, means after fighting for all of that time and basically dieing he still had chakra levels comparible to half of Kuramas chakra) + his insane physical prowess and dont forget that he is a reincarnation of God basically... while Asta is just a dude that worked his ass off to be able to fight very strong opponents
Fax and naruto was prodigy but he didn't have anyone to guide him thats all until pervy sage came as well as with asta, nacht only taught him how to tame the devil thats all, asta never had anyone for him to guide
And lets not forget editor's inspiration and contribution could lead to some paneling look like direct rip offs. Since most of these panels do get edited out a lot by bunch of editorial staff, and is not like bench to publish. Editors can ask them to change story beats, but have to say the ignorance of previous big 3 gen fans is annoying, heck the same sort of stuff happened when sailor moon dragon ball and yu yu hakusho fans called below gens ripoffs. They hate it when new series become popular, clearly like you said most people either haven't read bleach and berserk for them to realise the difference between the series. Heck the similarities are due to editorial staff asking them to do changes, since we have no proper way of knowing what changes were made from the original draft. Amazing video, thank you.
I never thought black clover was a copy of naruto, but did think it took inspiration from it, but I'm glad this video educated me on my favorite anime/manga

Okay 0:35 ASTA and Naruto quite literally had the exact opposite problem Asta was Not stigmatized or looked down because of the inner demon he had (which is not even that evil in the first place). He was stigmatized because of his lack of magic which Naruto has a lot of chakra because he is an uzamaki and has had nine tails inside of him since quite literally after birth. 2. How can you be terrible at something you don't even have in the first place and from what we've seen ASTA use with the anti magic I say he has talent for it. Naruto quite literally mastered the shadow clone jutsu in one night and that clone jutsu was because of the nine tails in the first place, he mastered the rasengan in a few days faster than his father and jiraiya who spent some time more than Naruto did, he actually made upgrades to the rasengan like the rasenshuriken and other things, and lastly he perfected the sage mode which jiraiya and Minato could never do and mix it with his kurama mode.
this is a good video, very comprehensive. unfortunately I don't think most of the terminally online idiots spouting this nonsense are going to even so much as give the video a chance, especially if theres even the slightest, most remote chance of them being proven wrong. they don't care about discussion or arguments, only echochambers. that said, I'm not trying to say you wasted your time or anything, because its entertaining enough even for someone who already knows this stuff, and I reckon there are plenty of BC fans not familliar with every reference or inspiration that would enjoy learning about these things. good work on the dope video.
i am not even shocked that people think like that any more sense i had a dude nitpicking one of my ocs i made who had both a inner demon like power and eye powers (both dragon themed as i love dragons so most of my ocs have a them or attacks that reference them)
You want to know what's funny. Everyone says that black clover copied naruto but when you look back at it, Naruto copied dragon ball z. That's why I just watched the show to enjoy instead of criticizing it. I LOVE black clover , all the big three, and dragon ball z
People should realize that shonen as a genre has some common tropes, that tomoe are not a thing that kishimoto invented but are common in japan, naruto wanted to be hokage and asta wanted to be the wizard king only have in common the aspiration of surpassing the limit imposed by their word, if they were identical which are not deku wanted to be number one hero is a ripoff of naruto wanted to became hokage The Qliphoth also draws inspiration from the Japanese folklore of the Jubokko tree, a demon tree said to grow on battlefields where many have died, thriving off of their blood to maintain a fresh appearance, and the tree of life from the kabbalah since the forrm is the same
I always say people just like to be miserable they don’t read black clover but hate on it like bro nobody is forcing them to like it you can like other shows but stop spreading misinformation some these people be hating for no reason had to tell this guy Asta and Naruto reasons for being the leader was completely different especially at the beginning Asta wanted to inspire people by becoming wizard king and trained way harder and longer then Naruto and actually has friendly rivalry with his bro Yuna which i feel is rare in Shonen correct me if I’m wrong I’m open to new manga to check out
I love Black Clover, especially because I *feel* the Bleach inspiration. I'm not a fan of Naruto. I cannot enjoy it, I don't know why Naruto never struck any chords to watch past episode 12, yet Black Clover made me want to watch it and read it because it felt like a good story with elements from one of my favorite manga of all time. Although, I haven't kept up with Black Clover, so I plan on reading it. Unless I hear it's animation is actually really good, because I remember first starting and hearing that they're gonna do an episode every week, and I saw it's animation suffered a bit from basically having no breaks.
What they call similarities are Just major archetype almost found in every story. Genius vs. hardwork archetype where the Hard work will defeat the Genius eventually. Another possible reference I noticed is that in the recent chapter where we saw the paladins circling the clover kingdom like angels. It looks exactly like when Asuka was encircled by the angel like Eva in the End of Evangelion movie. Something similar happens again later in the movie, as angels encircle the earth as crosses of light appear on the earth's surface similarly to the beams of light in the BC panel. And Kishimoto also had inspiration from Evangelion. There is a panel of Kaguya looking down on the earth like Rei does in the original Eva movie. their both white entities that reveal a third eye of sorts and are the mothers of life and chakra respectively. The infinite tsukuyomi is also a reference to the human instrumentality project from Eva, where the goal is to connect all hearts in the world in order to fill the emptiness and sorrow we feel. Like how the infinite tsukuyomi was supposed to remove pain from the world and make everyone happy.

Thanks for watching 💪🏻
I wouldn't be surprised if some of these ideas were indeed taken from Naruto, but I don't think it would even matter or that that would make it a copy. Clearly the show takes inspiration from a lot of other sources, making not a copy.
Even if he was influenced by Naruto there’s nothing wrong with that. We all get inspiration from previous people’s work
black clover has shown us that it isnt a cheap copy of any other manga out there
The reason we know it's not copying is because Tabata can actually write a female character and have them experience growth at the expense of their male counterparts, or just in general; Noelle.

Odin copied kishimoto confirmed

Did rock lee have a demon inside of him that negated chakra?
Sure yuno has a lot of talent but he still works and trains hard to get stronger which is why he's so op
Dante meanwhile relies heavily on his natural talent and deal with lucifero. This is exactly why he gets beat. He constantly relies on his op talent and looks down upon anyone he deems weak. Magma really said it best dante never actually ran out of mana thanks to his abundance of talent and mana so when finally fights somone 1 on 1 that can actually stand up to him, he loses
I liked the squad system
It helps alot by having the focus of the story not only fixed on the mc only and his rival.
This helps develop the other characters and their relationship.

Same here man, same here. The amount of stupidity I see from toxic fans never ceases to surprise me.
@@kenslycarpel3140 The world we live in.
Everyone who calls something a copy should understand"Anything human made is made with taking from something"
I think peoples only problem with Tobata and BC is that he’s way more deliberate and obvious with writing his inspirations. And tbh I respect him much more for it because of just how much he can make his inspirations his own. It’s the best talent any writer can have, but there’s just something hype about his references that you don’t get from other series even when you recognize it. The dudes just a big fan of Shonen and loves writing it 🤷♂️
Usually when I see 2 series that have similarities it makes me want to watch them more so I don’t understand why people try to discredit tabata and black clover. Largely black clover and naruto don’t really even feel like the same story but I guess some people will be weird
Honestly i feel the same but people say copy clover as an insult if they loved Naruto so much they should like this too right? If their calling it a straight copy
So Black Clover never copied Naruto but it copied Bleach
Got it 👍🏿
deadbrain
🗿 bro is overflowing with iq
BC : bleach berserk mythology etc
naruto: dbz yuyu hunter hunter etc.
I don't even remember the scene of Naruto crying or what he was crying about. I remember why asta was crying
guys hear me out
1 asta breaths which is a clear refrenc to Naruto. As you can see in chapter 235 naruto breaths air so black clover obviously copied it
2. Yuno was born just like Sasuke
3. Idk if you know it but. Asta trained you know who else trained? Naruto. so Black clover copied naruto
4.Asta was made by studio PERRIOT. just like NARUTO. Black clover is copying even the studio bruh when will they stop copying
5. Kishimoto clearly invented manga. I dont even need to prove that. gues what? BLACK CLOVER IS ALSO A MANGA. bruh the author must STOP
yall black clover fanboys need to stop, black clover copied everything
their argument is sort of like saying purple ripped off green because it also comes from mixing blue with another colour.
😂
BC : bleach berserk mythology etc
naruto: dbz yuyu hunter hunter etc.
Tbh i don't care if its copied or not, i like read/saw both and in my oppinion black clover is just better
Naruto at the end wasn't fun anymore, but i never got tired of black clover to this day, and i say that while i hate magic in every other media or game 😅
Great work Broku! You pretty much put the allegations to rest, but I’m sure somewhere down the line the “copy clover” allegations will come back.
I can’t stand how people say black clover ripped off the sharingan and say nothing about how Naruto ripped off hxh
Black clover: uses Tengentsu
Naruto fans: they copied the sharigan
Also black clover: Lucius and aisen, Asta's Demon slayer and Gut's dragon slayer sword and devils and hallows basically the same
Bleach and berserk fans: this is fine🙂
Your comment deserves a like
I love those guys ❤

A goated troll
even if their goal is sort of similar, atleast Asta progress towards his goal as the story goes.
Good point. Funny enough, Tabata was going to kill off Yuno in the first few volumes but his editor rejected it.
I never thought black clover was a copy of naruto, but did think it took inspiration from it, but I'm glad this video educated me on my favorite anime/manga
My bro Broku brought receipts as per usual. 🔥💪
Also please tell me this video doubles as a teaser for that Viking/BC Norse Mythology video 👀
💪🏻💪🏻
I love how black clover "coping" Naruto is just good writing and the basic heros journey formula
tenten:
Naruto copied from HxH and Yu Yu Hakusho. Disprove this first and then we can talk
I don't if someone has said anything or ask about this but do you think asta mom will get revived into an angel
It’s possible
Oh and let's not forget that black flames are yuyuhaka shows thing first, before naruto even came out.
This video is so detailed amazing work keep it up your a legend.
Finally someone who knows what there talking about.
Thanks 😊
Under the comments of the chapter when the shogun revealed his eye, the first comment was a meme that said “When you find out Kishimoto didn’t invent Japanese mythology”.
With a huge crying shocked face picture underneath.
WTF Makes no sense if that is the case with that same logic....... Early Naruto stole from Hunter x Hunter, dead clans, red eye power ups
Naruto author wrote Red eyes Power up before HxH
I was with you up until you said bleach was one the greatest manga of all time.

Yuno has infinitely more chill than Sasuke does tbh
I'm a naruto fan
and I never thought black clover ripped off naruto
tabata litirally said he was inspired by Bleach
Ah yes I remember when Naruto got his hands hexed and went to a witch forest to get 'em fixed
Ah that was a great episode. It got even better than both the Sand and the Mist showed up too. Peak arc.
This is one hell of a video! kudos! 💯🔥
So close to 100k keep grinding broku !
We’ll make it 💪🏻
Okay 0:35
ASTA and Naruto quite literally had the exact opposite problem
Asta was Not stigmatized or looked down because of the inner demon he had (which is not even that evil in the first place).
Yes! Lol naruto are fans are already prevalent in the comments who are deeply offended
Thank you for watching 💪🏻 :)
i am not even shocked that people think like that any more sense i had a dude nitpicking one of my ocs i made who had both a inner demon like power and eye powers (both dragon themed as i love dragons so most of my ocs have a them or attacks that reference them)
You want to know what's funny. Everyone says that black clover copied naruto but when you look back at it, Naruto copied dragon ball z. That's why I just watched the show to enjoy instead of criticizing it. I LOVE black clover , all the big three, and dragon ball z
A video I would like to request is a review on BC as a series. Maybe that can be saved for when the series ends.
Yes!
I support that❤
People should realize that shonen as a genre has some common tropes, that tomoe are not a thing that kishimoto invented but are common in japan, naruto wanted to be hokage and asta wanted to be the wizard king only have in common the aspiration of surpassing the limit imposed by their word, if they were identical which are not deku wanted to be number one hero is a ripoff of naruto wanted to became hokage
The Qliphoth also draws inspiration from the Japanese folklore of the Jubokko tree, a demon tree said to grow on battlefields where many have died, thriving off of their blood to maintain a fresh appearance, and the tree of life from the kabbalah since the forrm is the same
I always say people just like to be miserable they don’t read black clover but hate on it like bro nobody is forcing them to like it you can like other shows but stop spreading misinformation some these people be hating for no reason had to tell this guy Asta and Naruto reasons for being the leader was completely different especially at the beginning Asta wanted to inspire people by becoming wizard king and trained way harder and longer then Naruto and actually has friendly rivalry with his bro Yuna which i feel is rare in Shonen correct me if I’m wrong I’m open to new manga to check out
Nobody cares, black clover is more entertaining than some kid finding some other kid that ran away from home
Overcoming inner demon archetype, I mean this is almost found on major anime.
Rivalry Archetype - need i explain this?
Zero to Hero Archetype - A great dream to become the greatest history.
Hero to Villain - The Idol of the protagonist being the one to be the greatest enemy he would face.
This are all called archetypes not copying another story from other 😑
For me the main difference between them is Asta has its own harem but Naruto don't have it 😁😁
Broku is actually such a chad. Narutards better stfu after watching this
Enlightened 👀
No joke, I commented on a post about this subject talking about how Kishimoto and Tabata probably got inspiration for the Sharingan (Naruto) and Tengetsu (Black Clover) respectively from the the magatama (forgot about tomoe’s at the time). Then someone basically just told me to shut up because Kishimoto did it first. Imagine having the audacity to try and gate-keep SOMONE ELSE’S CULTURE from them because a story you already like has a similar inspiration.
Well Narutards have the most toxic fanbase after one piece,it happens
@@Davincy.D21 honestly it makes me kind of sad to be a fan of Naruto at times.
@@chrislile1725 seriously bro I don't even care whether its a copy or not as long as it's enjoyable i don't see any problem.needlessly comparing two series what they get from this??
I am always so confused when people go around saying "yuno and sasuke are the same!!!"
Like damn I guess mb I read black clover and not darkened plant
This is why I love Broku . Please drop merch Bro PLEASE
Yami never killed his family
and neither yuno is a sasuke clone. Bro's not an emo kid
Okay, I just started and there's already cap from the Naruto fanbase. How dare they compare Yuno to Sasuke. Sasuke immediately dismisses Naruto and never see him as a rival up until he realized that Naruto had grown faster than him. Meanwhile, Yuno doesn't treat Asta like a dick and always believed that Asta can do great things. It's the reason why he wants to be Asta's rival.
Ima get hate for saying this but black clover is better than naruto over all for me and asta is arguably a better mc and if you disagree rather your a die hard naruto fan witch I respect or your a naruto meat rider who can’t take other peoples opinions (AGAIN THIS IS MY OPINION SO IF YOU DONT LIKE OTHER PEOPLES RAKES ON THERE FAVORITE ANIME PLEASE STOP WATCHING ANIME)
Speak your opinion. What we don’t or do like (or prefer) is all subjective at the end of the day.
Don't call others a meatrider when you're literally meatriding Black Clover.
@@Indeeee Meatriding? All they said was that to them, Asta is a better MC than Naruto. They didn't bash Naruto as a character or as a franchise, just stated an opinion and asked for it to be respected. That's not meatriding in the slightest.
