Thanks for making a video on this! Regarding the lore, we have plans to add a lot more to the new map, in addition to much of it being carried over from the current map (helma, sneed, etc.). The water is meant to pose somewhat of a challenge because that is a common obstacle chasing in central Minnesota irl. Vast spaces of water are also very good for performance because it's just water and that area doesn't need to be filled with trees, buildings, props, etc. I also think the lakes will provide a great viewing point for storms and tornadoes, and I plan on incorporating many parks and good vantage points along the shorelines where players can get a good view of the storm. It's also worth noting a few more towns/villages will probably be added to the map that aren't shown in the blueprint. I want to build the majority of the map first and then see if there's space/memory allocation that would allow for more towns.
I think with the in game EAS if you drive into an area where there is a watch the radio should play the information for the Tornado, Severe Thunderstorm Watch.
I really like how hazelton has a metro now, every city does! And I’m excited about the new fetures, I am getting bored about the old map and the new map looks amazing, just imagine a tornado going through the hazelton+, I’m obsessed about where Roseville is placed
Something I would also like to see is more variety with the structures, specifically homes. I think some are a little too common currently, and it would be interesting to see different home types depending on where you are in the map.
@@tsunamianakin you mean like the mansions in the path of the moore 2013 tornado? the part before it went into the urban area had a lot of mansions that got slabbed or badly damaged (You can see the crazy houses on the google map)
My guess about the trains is it's going to run through hazleton historically in the west where keysota take place railroads always used to run cities in how that's how a lot of cities got made like Fort Worth Dallas ect. ect. And with hazleton this big the most likely possibility is that hazleton is what started the colonization of that area

they should add the “Tornado Attack” as a vehicle you can uncommonly find next to repair shops for like 65k but 30 to 25k to repair (thresholds would prob be around dom 1’s
One thing I would like to see is more tornadoes in the NW corner of the map 90% of the tornadoes hang south or east of the funkley area and northward it’s always fun to chase up there from experience I would like to see it more often
After I entered the game I clicked the place I want to spawn but it couldn't I click it again but nothing happened so I decided to rejoin after that I clicked the other places but it didn't work so what is happening here dude I got this three times bro.
I think that mobile players such as me should be worried cuz if you try to play twister for too long you will likely crash every day, and further more the game won’t render things from very far away hopefully the can incorporate mobile support cuz a bigger map will make it impossible for mobile players to play with out crashing.
Mobile performance has nothing to do with the size of the map, rather the amount of parts. the new map will likely be better for mobile players because there wont be an insane amount of parts that arent being used and just taking up storage.
Will there be something like a metro area for Hazelton because of all of the towns in a close proximity to Hazelton? Hazelton is the biggest city on the map so just guessing there will be something like a metro area.

We don't know how the towns are going to be quite yet, hibbing could have the exact same layout, or it could be way smaller.

You just have to look for storm motion as a factor in the thermos, north moving tornadoes end up in areas like that all the time

These were trialed in a way in 1.20 but it didn’t do well since like 90% of the tornadoes ended up being wedges in one way or another
