This has been my favourite Aerosmith song since I first heard it almost 50 years ago. I will disagree with one statement you made.... "this is just as good as the original" IMHO, it better! You really must check out more Morgan James

Morgan James is a Julliard-trained opera singer, but her preferred genres are R&B and jazz. She has the best Aretha Franklin covers you'll ever hear. This is the _tour de force_ of Scott and Morgan, if not their _magnum opus._
But here's the thing. She has better covers than dream on! I had tix to her tour kick off in Memphis last year. Of course work called and my wife and her BF went and loved it. They are going to see her again this coming weekend.
that's the only way to successfully cover/tribute those huges songs, if you copy pasta the song, 99% of time it's a fail. But if you twist it, make it yours and bring yourself in the song with the amount of talent of PMJ and Morgan you end up with an incredible result.

Larry, I totally agree, this is the best re-interpretation of this classic I've ever seen & I'm glad you finally listened to, if not me at least another one of Subs. The pianist, artistic Director & creator of the PMJ musical collective, Mr. Scott Bradley, does all the arrangements and in my opinion is a genius. Also, Ms. Morgan James is incredible & I would highly recommend checking out any number of singles, she's an incredible soul vocalist. Another fantastic PMJ re=invention by Scott is Maps - by Maroon 5. Scott Bradley turns it into a Vintage 1970s Soul track ft. Morgan James.

Just wanted to comment on her choice to not use vibrato on those long notes. During those notes, the musicians are playing a cadence that is very similar to a singer's vibrato. By not using vibrato, her voice stands out more clearly against the busy background.
