This was such an interesting part in both the show and the books. If I remember correctly, in the books, the dire wolves growled at Tyrion in this scene, but this was the one time they were completely off when it came to sensing bad intentions, because Tyrion had none. This doubt was sewn into Robb’s mind right before the red wedding, when he doubted Grey Wind’s instincts because he knew that his dire Wolf had been off with Tyrion in this scene. But Catlyn didn’t see this, so she didn’t have any reason to doubt the dire wolf’s instincts, and knew something was off before the red wedding because she trusted Grey Wind. Unfortunately though, it was already too late. Such a fascinating scene overall.
Bran is the only Stark child who's made aware of an important facet of the Direwolves' instincts. Summer growls and bares his teeth at Jojen Reed when he begins to make Bran aware of his status as a Warg, and Bran resists his explanations angrily. Jojen recognizes that Summer is angry because Bran is angry and tells Bran that he needs to stop being angry in order for Summer to calm down and respond to his commands. I imagine the idea in this moment was that Grey Wind was picking up on Robb's suspicion and contempt for Tyrion, and Summer was echoing it to support his brother wolf. Of course, Robb wasn't cognizant of that and he likely would have seen Grey Wind's anger as validation of his own mistrust instead of a reflection of it.

Floor rushes. Very common in halls during Medieval times, were used to not only soak up skilled drinks and blood from duels, but also kept the floors from freezing your feet, and caught the mud and crap from boots as they got tracked in. They were typically replaced every few days, to every couple of weeks. Usually used the chaff from grain farming. Some nobility preferred to just throw fresh rushes over the top of the old ones during winter, but that was often how they wound up with mice and rats being common pests.
You could tell, right away, that Tyrion had already had enough of this buffoon! Tyrion is THE MAN! Why...he even helped this young lad, by giving him a blueprint to give to the Blacksmith, so that a special riding device could be developed for this young lad. Tyrion's got a lot of heart. He's actually a great guy, if he's not mad at ya, for some reason. If you give him a reason to be angry with you, then watch out! He's going to get you!
What I love the most about Tyrion is that he's well read, well traveled, well mannered when he has to be. He's more prepared that any man is, given that he's a dwarf, viewed as damaged goods by everyone else.
Richard Madden would make a great James Bond. His career being stagnant has nothing to do with his time on game of thrones. He didn’t get a chance to ride the full wave of the popularity of the show as it was getting more and more popular

Ahhh. Season 1, before it was insanely popular and got ruined because of it. Like all great shows, popularity kills them in the end. Game of Thrones, Vikings,
Idk what show you watched but I remember it being ruined when D&D ran out of book material and had to actually write themselves and that was until season 5 I believe
@@sololo312yes, and what pushed them to make their material up? The profitability of at the time the biggest show in the world. Robb: "Explain your motivations for this gift, for it seems untrustworthy." Tyrion: "Offers reasonable explanation." Robb "That seems reasonable, thank you."
How was this a lesson? Robb did the right thing lol. The entire Lannister family was not only planning the downfall of house Stark the entire series, but was also known for these kids of tricks and shit. They would play both sides and pretend to be your friend just to backstab you. Robb saw through their BS before everybody. The only difference is there’s no way anybody could’ve predicted that out of every single Lannister all would be evil two faced pieces of shit except for the one with the worst reputation, Tyrion. He was right to be wary.
Citation needed, the confrontation between Lannister and Stark comes due to Littlefingers lies of the dagger and potential sending the assassin to Bran, Ned threatening Cersei to reveal her secret, Caitlin taking Tyrion hostage etc.... All of the actions of the Lannisters against the Starks in the first book are reactions often to Stark actions.
Yea the game of thrones fan base can sometimes be frustrating because we tend to judge character decisions based on information we have, even if the characters aren’t privy to it. Robb suspected that Tyrion was the one who crippled Bran and thus he acted accordingly, but we know Tyrion isn’t that bad of a guy (in the show) and that it was the other Lannisters who were at fault. Maybe it would’ve been better for Robb to be more diplomatic but he’s also behaving reasonably considering his suspicions. Tyrion was also asking questions about Lady Catelyn’s whereabouts and it was paramount that her trip to the south was kept a secret.
And how the show was ruined by someone because they just couldn't wait for someone to complete his book. TO BE FAIR HE'S TAKING TOO LONG, WE LADS JUST HAVE TO SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES!!

They were typically replaced every few days, to every couple of weeks. Usually used the chaff from grain farming. Some nobility preferred to just throw fresh rushes over the top of the old ones during winter, but that was often how they wound up with mice and rats being common pests.
A value lesoon?
Robb, as lord, that was very rude. You were raised better than that.
Always show courtesy to high born guests. Even to ones you dont like.
Tyrion acting like he wasn’t going to that brothel anyway.
Meeting Catelyn there was purely by accident.
the show made winterfell so ugly, even in later seasons it still looks like a barn
Tyrion was a giant. I wish we could visit Kings Landing again to catch up with him.
The ancient rules of hospitality does... somewhat get forgotten alot don't they?
Can I jus say that tyrion was my absolute favorite character other then the hound
You can… but no one cares
@@danielbrennan7613shut up daniel
Tyrion and the hound lowkey my fav charcters in whole series
Definitely! And John 🤟🏾
When Rob learned what proper courtesy was.
Robb knew what courtesy was, he just had every reason to believe the Lannister's were responsible for Bran's fall, so he mistrusted Tyrion.
Lil man is a great actor
You could tell, right away, that Tyrion had already had enough of this buffoon! Tyrion is THE MAN! Why...he even helped this young lad, by giving him a blueprint to give to the Blacksmith, so that a special riding device could be developed for this young lad.
Tyrion's got a lot of heart. He's actually a great guy, if he's not mad at ya, for some reason. If you give him a reason to be angry with you, then watch out! He's going to get you!
This version of Tyrion may be the greatest character of all time
What I love the most about Tyrion is that he's well read, well traveled, well mannered when he has to be. He's more prepared that any man is, given that he's a dwarf, viewed as damaged goods by everyone else.
Imagine how many likes this video could have gotten if they knew how to spell lesson
Ever heard of a typo
😂😂😂😂😂
Gods I miss when Tyrion was such a chad. After his meereen ark he became such a shell of his former self
Of all the Great Westerosi Houses, the Starla did the best job in raising their kids. Each of them has honour and integrity.
Many moons ago this lad was hailed as the next James Bond. Once he died on the show, so did his career.
hodor? he is a bit big for james bond no?
Richard Madden would make a great James Bond. His career being stagnant has nothing to do with his time on game of thrones. He didn’t get a chance to ride the full wave of the popularity of the show as it was getting more and more popular
He produced a show for Netflix that was a hit and then was in one of the marvel movies. He is not a regular face but better than other got actors who are not seen much after the show ended
Hodor could hold down Jaws 2.0 On God
I don’t think so he was killed while the show was at peak popularity
*Robert Baratheon’s voice: Gods Tyrion was smart in those early seasons
😂😂😂
Other than being a Lannister, did Robert have a problem with Tyrion? Was it because Tyrion won every drinking game at Robert and Cersei's wedding?
Yeah. Tyrion. Staying in his walls might give you a chance to prevent any misunderstandings and use diplomacy to build a better Lannister/Stark dynamic, but nah - why try patching up some bad blood?
Here, Tyrion helps Bran and gives Robb a lesson of good manners.
Tyrion was by far one of the best characters. A genuine nice person, but cunning and quick whitted, even vicious when necessary.
Bran "i am not a cripple"
Tyrion "Then i am not a dwarf my father will rejoice to hear it"
If Tyrion wasn’t a dwarf hated by his father the lannisters would have won hard
Imagine robb being smarter here... tyrion is a lannister mostly by name cause he had more heart than all other lannisters together❤
"i'm not a cripple"
"And i'm NOT a dwarf! My father will be so pleased to hear it! 😄"
Oh, the dialogue 🥲🥹
Tyrion was being more tactful about the lesson he taught Jon.
That "eeh boy" always cracks me up!
Robb regretted being so hostile to Tyrion. If Catelyn was there she'd know Tyrion had nothing to do with the plot. Tyrion is my favorite character in the books. He's so human. But has a good heart and doesn't desire power
Catelyn is the reason why Robb was so hostile to begin with. And she literally captured Tyrion when she came across him and took his to the Vale lol.
@@Syndor12catelyn was such an idiot only smart thing she ever did was tell Rob not to trust the Greyjoys.
Rob always hated when someone called him boy
Why is the floor so dirty? It looks more like a stable
The wizard courtesy!....just saying
I like broken things also 🤷♂️
Tyrion, played by Peter Dinklage was the best character in this series in my opinion. Whomever wrote this character's lines deserves a Nobel Peace Prize - Such wit!
Rob had the makings of a great leader, he just needed to keep cool headed
The public would have gone insane if the show ended or stopped at season 5. No one was complaining when new seasons were announced, and even today, people still wouldn't complain. Look at HotD.
Popularity is the horse that drove GoT to its death, DnD were only the carriage.
@@kiren79there was tonnes of material still available, they just didn't listen to advice and got rid of grrm, deciding they knew best.. arrogance not popularity is what hampered the shows quality
@sololo312 season 1 through 4 was the best, they were great at copying source material.
@deadwinterrider4104 they got their just desserts in the end. Disney ditched them after that terrible ending of the show. We were saved from them ruining star wars even more.
Por este tipo de cosas siempre Tyrion fue mi personaje favorito ❤❤❤❤❤❤
“ but not I, Ehh boyyy?” Great
I'm not your boy, guy
Robb one minute: wtf, why you help him. Its a trick.
Robb next minute: Ahh, i am thankful to you for being helpful
It's called learning.
Robb: "Explain your motivations for this gift, for it seems untrustworthy."
Tyrion: "Offers reasonable explanation."
Robb "That seems reasonable, thank you."
@@shaneharper4477 that explanation was stupid, anyone could say that. It doesn't take much to make robb believe in something
He has no memory of " STFU and let him talk" 😂😂n
The fact that he looked out for Jon so much, and then said he has a tender spot for bastards is awesome!
Tyrion should have taken hospitality if he had they might talk it out
Bolivar Trask doesn't play (Tyrion = Bolivar Trask = Peter Dinklage). 🤣🤣🤣
Im constantly reminded that he ia the coolest character.
Rob was a born leader. I wish we could’ve known what would’ve happened if he didn’t die
Tyrion was the GOAT. That show would have dwindled without the performance of Peter Dinklage.
And how the show was ruined by someone because they just couldn't wait for someone to complete his book.
TO BE FAIR HE'S TAKING TOO LONG, WE LADS JUST HAVE TO SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES!!
Sometimes crass, sometimes duplicitous, but never cruel.
