    Very cool! How do you clean the bowl?

    • @PopcornGenius
      @PopcornGenius  Рік тому

      Hello, thank you for watching!! We usually add water to the bowl and heat it up. Then we take either a towel or paper towels and wipe it around with the hot water and then tip and drain it. You can also use kettle cleaner on it. We do that every once in a while for a good cleaning. We hope that helps. We really appreciate your support!

    nice work on the entire setup, I wondered about the kettle , you have a link and is yours the 60 at or 80 qt kettle, those are expensive but once you have the kettle thats the biggest expense,the frame is pretty simple and straight forward it seems , great job and i. Planning on building one once I get the kettle size, yours looks like it can make a lot quickly for small parties or home use or whatever it's needed for .

      I definitely agree. The kettle is the biggest investment for the set up. When you build yours, please share some pictures...I'd really like to see it!

      That's a great question! They weigh 9oz. We used to sell them for $6.50 each and $1 more for specialty flavors when we had our shop.

      an ounce popcorn
      $7.50 '/, 9 oz = $0.83
      an ounce speciality flavors.
      I looked up what Movie Popcorn cost on an average... Average cost per ounce $0.69 an oz ... some charge by the "Cup" and you are above that... this is a good working maragin. Especially when it comes to EXTRA toppings... Extra work... Extra Cost... Nice packaging... That is a big difference right there. A plain bag is pennies, where a specially bag can be $1.50

    Thank you for the great video. Why don't you put in the salt at the same time as the sugar?

    • @PopcornGenius
      @PopcornGenius  Рік тому

      Hi! Thank you for watching! We've never thought to add the salt with the sugar. Thinking on it now, it makes sense to as we add salt products when we make butter right to the kettle. We are going to have to try that. Thank you for the tip/idea! Have you made it this way before? If so, how did it come out?

    I have the same bowl for my kettle. It even has a divit in the raised part like yours. Not sure why. I bought a 200000 btu banjo burner and the kettle sits right on the burner so I don't need it framed out. We have to dump by hand at the moment but its pretty easy overall. I buitl our cooling/shaker box out of 1/4 in luan and 1/2 inch haedware cloth for the bottom. We have about 400$ all together in the cooker and table.

    • @PopcornGenius
      @PopcornGenius  Рік тому +1

      That's awesome! Our bowl came used from an old pizzeria and the bowl was dropped a few times 😀. That's terrific about the banjo burner, I bet it heats up FAST!!. What great ingenuity to make that cooling/shaker box! You did a great job putting that all together for only about $400. Would you be able to share some photos of your setup? We would love to check it out. Our email address is in our about section if you are willing. Great job! Thank you for sharing with us and for watching our channel!

    Hi, what prevents the bowl from tipping while you're are stiring? I see a piece of metal on one side of the bowl that acts as a stopper, but there's nothing on the other side of the bowl.

    • @PopcornGenius
      @PopcornGenius  8 місяців тому

      Great question! Correct, there isn't anything on the front side. The way the hinges are attached to the frame and the bowl keep the bowls weight toward the back. The bowl is attached to the hinge between the pivot bolt and the back support. It's much easier to explain via a photo. Please email us and we will send you more detailed photos. You can find our email address in our UA-cam profile. Thank you for watching!!

    Coolness. I would put a screen or lid on top (create a little pressure) and make the bowl rotate.
