I own a 2015 NIGHT ROD. I totally agree with the comments of DEGO. It is just a crap from HARLEY. Lot of hype and it's just shit. POSITIVES : Stylish and bullying looks. It is good for Drag racing. Other than that I didn't find any positive in that bike. NEGATIVES : Very poor cornering. The front set foot pegs are idiotic as the wind blast lifts your foot from the brake if you go more than 120 kmph. To rectify this you have to spend SR 6000(Saudi Riyal) more for a mid control. The thighs are hyper abducted because of the very wide seat. The thighs don't hug the tank.(actually it's the filter in the place of tank.)Very soon your legs feel tired and painful. I have fitted Vance & Hines exhaust. It sounds really very nice. Otherwise the original sound was like farting. The torque delivery is just shit. Very poor low end torque. So it requires frequent shifting inside the city. To sum up - IT HAS BULLYING LOOKS ..BUT VERY POOR PRACTICALITY. IT'S NOT WORTH THE HYPE BUILT AROUND IT.
The VRod is a mid to high RPM bike. It doesn't like being below 3k RPM. If you ride it like any other cruiser(or Harley for that matter) you're gonna have a bad time
Been riding for 50 yrs. Have had 10 bikes including Suzuki's GS models. However, the 2016 Night Rod puts a smile on my face. It is a great all around machine. I lived on one for the past three years. That's all I had left after divorce. A NRS and the freedom to go anywhere I wanted. I would say it is a UJM in disguise. It does everything good However it doesn't excel at anything. I think you made an excellent video! I subscribed to you. Thanks a lot!!
So it AIN’T for you!!...you don’t seem to get or know too much about this particular V-Rod to review it! So that out there,..☝🏾you see it’s a bike for EX-liter Sports bikers & Harley enthusiasts whom.. wish to Sports Cruise now as to not give up speed rush but cornering agility to a certain percentage for Rabbit-like acceleration plus comfort with Cool-Ass style!!.....HD Night Rods are all of that!!...👌🏾...to each his/her own!...✌🏾Ride safe!
I knew that you would finally get to a test ride on a Porsche inspired V-Rod. Hell, they look fast just sitting still! I really dig the seat on that bad boy too. You sit in a V-Rod - not on it.
I have a ZX-14 and a 2013 Nightrod with a TAB exhaust. The Harley sounds great, accelerates like a beast, plenty comfortable on longer rides (I'm average 5'9 height).... I'm real glad I bought it. This reviewer is shit.
thealize808 depends on your self control. I would get something else personally but it's not the worst choice ever. kinda heavy and harder to maneuver than some other starters though. probably look into sportster or street 750 if you have no experience and are set on getting a Harley
William M Trexler if you've seen any of my other videos you may notice I've ridden an R6 for several years... I am familiar with finding a power band. Honestly the rod just didn't impress me as much as I'd hoped, likely just due to high expectations after hearing that it was this monster that was as fast or faster than super sports in a line.

The rear tire is too wide for cornering, that’s why it wants to stand up in corners
the rear tyre is the one responsible for the bike's tendency to stay upright...

❤❤❤❤❤❤
Would this be ok for a first bike?

Get a Kawasaki Vulcan 650 for your first bike, they’re less expensive
Ride 10,000 miles on a lighter bike before you get a 670 beast like the Vrod / Nightrod.
Low end torque....9G rpm limit..was a clue....need to look at the power band..for HP
