I wouldn't put Khabib in that category because he wasn't really on top for that long like Anderson, GSP, or Jon Jones. There are more deserving fighters than Khabib.
I'd love to see Islam vs Justin. I think Justin learned that he got away from his roots too much. He changes his style every time he loses so I expect better wrestling from Justin in his next fight.
@@zeaferjones1404 his wrestling was great actually, but jujitsu was never good, even in World series he was picking up and slamming wrestlers who tried to choke him, he tried that with khabeeb to, but he just dug a hook and avoided that strategy as it was. @Hayla Happy yes. It depends on his mother. Maybe if his mother look him not happy for not achieving 30-0 like his fathers wish, she might gonna change her mind. Theres a small chance that were going to watch Khabib vs GSP. Title belt its not important anymore as both fighters have successfully reach the GOAT status. Theyre gonna fight for their legacy at catchweight 165lb. I hope to see that match maybe the end of next year

I don't think we realised how spoiled we were by having the pleasure to watch Khabibs career play out. Truly an icon of the sport, the consummate professional, role model, respectful, a man of honour. Definitely the 155 GOAT and definitely a contender for p4p GOAT. Wish him all the best and thanks for letting us watch him perform.
Khabib Never lost a fight. Considering his perfect performance record, finish on top of his carrier is the best decision he could ever made! It is sad for the Sport but I am glad that the undefeatable living legend & humble Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov now can have some quality free time to be with his family and enjoy his success! Wishing him good luck in the next chapter of his life!
Big John McCarthy - Khabib never lost a round in his career, maybe one "even" round against Conor, when he got a little gassed and had a "recovery" round...
Conor never wanted the rematch, he never really committed to work his way to another chance, and apparently was just hoping for Khabib to retire. I feel that if Conor becomes again the champ and Khabib announces his return, he would throw the belt and get out before Khabib comeback.
I feel honoured to have watch this guy’s career to the point where he’s such a megastar now. What a journey that was! Sad it’s ending but that’s life it was really something special!

It was a good 50/50 fight on the feet I was enjoying watching Khabib exchange with Gaethje he took and gave some good shots before he took him down and finished. Its crazy how good he is, greatest grappler ive ever seen.
he was even on advantage on the feet. Justin just got a few low kicks in. What was wrong with justin that night??? Not taking away credit from khabib, but justin seemed gassed from the start of the first round
Khabib doesn't allow elite strikers (Conor/Dustin/Justin) to get into any sort of flow. They are so worried about getting taken down that they don't do what made them great.
I was also shocked at how effective his striking was vs Gaethje. I know Gaethje was probably thrown off by the sheer amount of things he had to worry about, he was trying his best to not get cornered, but still, Khabib busted Gaethje's face up in under 2 rounds whilst not sustaining a single scratch.
I consider Justin a wrestler. The fact that a wrestler was doing what we call in wrestling stalling shows how strong Khabib is. Justin had the right game plan though because you have to back away from Khabib a little bit to have the distance to strike but man Khabib is so good at closing the distance with striking.
Um, Khabib DOESN'T let them do what "they do best"... His greatest accomplishment is imposing his will, while EVERY opponent knows exactly what he's going to do... No "Lucky punches", no "Lucky kicks", no lucky ANYTHING... Pure domination, with flawless execution
NO NO NO it can't be true he's retiring. He's such a wonderful and honorable man. He'll always be a historic legend. My prayers are with you always. You will be very very missed. Enjoy your retirement❤❤🙏🙏

If they never seen khabib pressure someone on the feet as they claim, can they please explain how does khabib gets every single fighter he fought on the fence to start the take down?
@Swarthy One But in a undimensional sport. I recognize that Floyd was amazing in boxe. But MMA have a lot of diferent type of fighting styles to learn and deal with.
@Swarthy One Jon Jones is not the best defensive fighter. He is bad off the back foot. He takes too many shots on the defense. Look at his past 5 fights and you'll see. He is good at scoring points and outsmarting his opponents with hos well roundness. Khabib is dominant and rarely ever in his career had his grappling shutdown. That is why he compare himself to Floyd.

Khabib to Justin prefight interview:" Be careful brother, I have very good jab... I have some thing special for you..." AKA the very first in UFC and most spectacular triangle submission. 🐐 special gift to Justin.😂
I'll admit he never lost a round. I think the first round vs Justin was the closest he actually came to losing a round. The pro Conor judges getting ready to screw Khabib in a decision if the fight was close doesn't count as him losing a round to me.

Dustin vs Conor, Tony vs Michael.. Winner of each match fights for the Title. That should be fair.. instead.. of just jumping to give 1 of these matches the right to a championship right away.
I've been reading hundreds of comments on all the post fight videos, and all of Khabib's fans are now Gaethje fans. So Khabib sent Gaethje all of his fans, because both guys were so respectful. Khabib's fan admire Gaethje now. Gaethje probably just doubled his fan base.
I think we're going to reflect on Khabib differently in retrospect. We're all bummed that the 29-0 one-in-a-generation takedown machine is hanging up the gloves during his prime. But seeing the way he dealt with being champ, viewing fame as something dangerous to his mind. The humbling of Conor. His incredibly powerful family values. Khabib really showed us something special in this social media era.
If khabib went to a different weight class and won the title to become champ champ, or matched the resume of Jon Jones, I’d agree. Otherwise, your statement is silly

As much as I love Khabib (a lot), I like that he’s retiring and love how the lightweight division is shaping up. Conor, Dustin, Chandler, Tony, Justin and Olivera. Oh my!!
I cant believe that after winning all those fights and almost every single round, even in his last fight we see an evolution of his game. Never seen him attempt a triangle let alone transition to one from a full mount so easily against a division 1 wrestler. And the way he cried... wasn't just tears, he was sobbing, like he hadn't yet cried since his father's passing and he was letting it all out for the first time. Really emotional. Rare to see such a story play out in a cage.
I find that Khabib can still best honor his father by continuing his legacy training champions while himself having achieved legend status. His father made his legend in that part of the world, Khabib built his globally. What a way for a son to honor father.

I wouldn't put Khabib in that category because he wasn't really on top for that long like Anderson, GSP, or Jon Jones. There are more deserving fighters than Khabib.
khabib starts the new chapter as a coach, welcome islam next
I'd love to see Islam vs Justin. I think Justin learned that he got away from his roots too much. He changes his style every time he loses so I expect better wrestling from Justin in his next fight.

@@zeaferjones1404 Yes. I was infering that I don't think Justin is going to improve on his BJJ, he will feel that not everyone is going to take him down(by khabibs standards, he did good against Khabib too) I like Justin, but I really feel he has hit a peak stylistically. There is only so much one can improve.
I expected khabib to win. but I thought it was gonna be a war and competitive .. and it turned out to be another dominant win by khabib ..

If khabib told his mum he won't fight again that's exactly what his going to do. A MAN of his word.
But his dad wanted 30-0 to GSP. He may honor that wish before hanging it all the way up.
True I'd like to see GSP vs Khabib in about 7 months though. That would b bad A$$
@Hayla Happy yes. I hope to see that match maybe the end of next year
Also he said he lost his father, he only have his mother. so yeah i think he's retired to be there for his mother
Nah, you're being too romantic. He'll come back and fight again, and tell us all....."my Mom said I must fight again, she wants me to follow my dreams".
The most satisfying part of this is McGregor never gets his rematch.
most unsatisfying is we never get Tony vs Khabib and Tony still hasn't gotten his title shot
but yeah you're right about that part lol

That was a cursed fight....I think if fight happen the world gonna end for sure to stop that fight
Conor never wanted the rematch, he never really committed to work his way to another chance, and apparently was just hoping for Khabib to retire.
I feel that if Conor becomes again the champ and Khabib announces his return, he would throw the belt and get out before Khabib comeback.

❤💚 I never Seen Justin going backwards only today I think he was worried about taken down.
I consider Justin a wrestler. The fact that a wrestler was doing what we call in wrestling stalling shows how strong Khabib is. Justin had the right game plan though because you have to back away from Khabib a little bit to have the distance to strike but man Khabib is so good at closing the distance with striking.
@@lfmm97 he literally got him gassed halfway through round 1 with just his striking pressure. insane

That is why he compare himself to Floyd.
@Swarthy One you can also says that jones walks through the 205s because of his huge reach advantage and suspesious drug user.

I cant believe that after winning all those fights and almost every single round, even in his last fight we see an evolution of his game.
