I just tried this hack and it worked. My jar was a plastic one so I took out the quantity I need in a glass bowl and placed it in hot water pot and it totally worked for me !! Thank you for sharing the tip with us :)

Do you have a slow cooker (eg, Crock Pot)? If you use it on low heat for 30 mins, the plastic jar wouldn't melt but the Nutella would be softer and spreadable.
