Hi, TJ, This is one of my favourite spots. It’s a great place to camp when the weather is a bit rough. I know a spot with a great view of a sunrise, I’ll be heading there next 👍
To be honest I would happily have eaten Digger's dinner - it looked pretty tasty! I enjoyed coming to an earlier video and seeing the tent in action (you are now using a fabulous camper trailer). I'm always thankful that people put in the time and effort to make such lovely videos of their camping trips. So, thank you - and I hope you enjoy making them as much as we enjoy viewing them. Beautiful forest location. Lovely to have that nearby. All the best Frank and Digger.
Thanks, Fiona I do enjoy making the video's...at first it was just an excuse to go camping more often but then I actually found I enjoyed the whole process of filming and editing. I think this is something I will do for a long time. ...Digger does eat well, doesn't he! Lol
Now that’s a great campsite. Your upside down fire burned really well. I had really good luck with the upside down fire on my last trip. It will be my go to from now on. We had a lot of wind, too. Coming in off the lake made it super gusty. Digger was a gem, as usual. Always by your side. This was the first time I paid attention to how he watches every move you make. Super in tune with each other. Another great adventure! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Suzanne! Digger and I are very much in tune with each other…next weeks video is a continuation of this one and you’ll see just how close we are…he sleeps in my bed! Lol it was cold though, we kept each other warm. Unless I want a big, quick fire, I always do the upside down type. It rarely falls over like a traditional type and lasts longer…it’s also easier to light. I’ll do a Swedish fire next time👍
@@4X4CA I’d be suprised if Digger didn’t sleep in your bed. He has a nice blanket and gourmet meals prepared by Dad. 😃 Very curious about the Swedish fire. It will be interesting and I’m sure to learn something. I agree about the upside down fire lasting longer and not falling. We roasted a ton of marshmallows when I made ours and it burned forever.
Gracias 😁
Hola, Maria! Thank you, the kitchen is my favourite part too 😀 it's the peace and calm that attracts me to places like this, it feels more normal than the suburbs...I'm at home in nature. I usually go once per week, mostly for one night, sometimes two. I would like to do more longer trips further into Australia. I recently made five video's from a road trip I did to The Flinders Ranges, which you might like. 👍
Greetings from Muncie Indiana. What a great video!! Loved your Digger shots. Great dinner you made for him. My dog turns his nose up at vegetables, no matter how I disguise them. Digger looks comfy under his blanket! I haven’t been too successful with upside down fires. Will have to try again. Thanks for bringing us along!!
Hi, Chris, Digger is ok with vegetables as long as they are covered in meat! Lol…but he does like to chew on a raw carrot now and then. Sometimes he’ll only eat half of it but if I show interest in it by kicking it across the floor and chasing it, he’ll beat me to it and eat it all up quickly! The trick to the upside down fire is to make sure the logs/sticks under the top kindle section are not too thick and have some air gaps around them. The bottom layers of logs can be as thick as you like with no gaps but the upper layers need air…good luck!
Another beautifully done video. I love the close ups of Digger, especially when eating. I like the close ups of the fire too.. Sometimes I use campfire videos to help me sleep. My Hubby was watching this one with me tonight and he says "Thats a mighty fine looking dog."
Hi, Jill, I’ve started another channel ‘The Ambient Portal’ that you might like…it’s for relaxing, meditation, yoga or just to fall asleep. They are extracts from the main camping channel. I’ll film a campfire for you next time 👍
Hi, TJ! I hope the wind noise wasn’t getting in the way?…it was so loud. I had planned on going to a different camp but it would have been too exposed. A flapping tent all night is no fun! Its a beautiful spot though, so I’ll go there next time…if there’s no wind.
Hi Frank, as per all the comments mate this was another fab vid mate and I agree the upside-down fire is a ragging success - and funny enough in all the years I have been camping I have never made one - I've always just made a conventional fire but will definitely give it a go.
Hi, Inga! Not sure what mix of breeds Digger is but I’d bet there is some Lab in him. Our forests are mostly different varieties of Gum tree’s. Where about’s do you live?
Hello sorry I didn't know your name.. I'm a new fan of you and I'm injoying watching your wonderful videos please keep them coming and please would you always let me know when you have a video please.. I'm really loving your beautiful dog what is his or her name please...my name is Lisa and my beautiful dog is called Rosie... where are you to please it looks so beautiful there..
Hi, Lisa, Glad you like what I’m doing! My name is Frank and I live in Australia. My dog is called Digger. He’s a mixed breed…not sure which, maybe Kelpie, Lab and Greyhound…I’ll get around to doing a DNA test one day. If you click on ‘Subscribe’ or click on the little red icon in the bottom right corner of the screen while watching one of my videos, you will automatically be notified when I upload a new video…currently I upload one video per week, same time and day. (Sundays 8pm AEST) Enjoy!
Don’t stop making these videos please. I love them! I get all of my camping satisfaction out of them
Thank you for your nice comment, Evan. I will keep going! 👍

Thank you, Linda! Glad you liked it👍

Cheers, Steve, yeah, the upside down fire is so much easier to maintain but doesn’t produce the quick, big flame of a traditional fire
Привет .👋Видео как всегда .👍👍👍 У Диггера , интересно , не было в роду лабрадоров ?🐕У моих собак точно такая поилка .😀 И лес очень похож на наш .

🧐🧐😉😉 33:25 → What a great place to sit by the fire!
Yeah, we needed that, it was quite cold once the sun went down. It’s always nice to sit by an open fire…very relaxing
