So I proceeded to pour us shots and he played that guitar unplugged for about 20 minutes. Man what a blessing. Humble nice guy and so talented that the music just flowed out of him. "Ya know he couldn't read music at all, and for him it was just another chance to play on stage". This is just how good the man was. It was just another gig for him and this is what Everyone got, Everywhere he went.

What's perhaps most impressive is that most guitarists would break their fingers trying to play that guitar. Stevie got that "thick" sound by using VERY thick strings. Watching him bend those notes, just mashing those strings across the neck with ease... is kind of amazing.

That he could make those amazing bends with those heavy strings was awesome.
Well, guess that's it for me.
RIP, Stevie Ray and Jimi. I'd like to think they're together and playing things we've never heard of and thought were impossible.
Was at the Rome Inn the night Stevie got married between sets. Rowdy, yeah, lol.
I wasn't there but thanks for that story.@@hpb5495
Only he could make a guitar run it's mouth like that.
Ive watched nearly a thousand reactions to this performance.
Sometimes I just sit and cry as I watch the new viewers experience go from amazed to when he goes behind his back blown away.
It’s maybe one of the most beautiful things to ever share!
Thank you ❤
I love your reaction. We are feel the same way. #SRVForever
try an upbeat Stevie Ray like Scuttle Buttin' or Wham!
It’s one of his top performances. Powerful is the word for sure. He played like his life depended on it.
Awwwwww Stevie…..miss you
Crazy Stevie fact, the guy used .013 gauge guitar strings! Playing like he did with that gauge is mindblowing...........makes my fingers hurt just thinking about it.
Oh yes, I love this too. Been enjoying Stevie for so long. I also love a particular song that Steve Marriott played, Five Long Years. I hope you see it too.
I love your reaction. What else can you do but laugh, smile, shake your head and enjoy it? Unbelievable performance.
Man could bend them like nobody else! The best ever in my opinion.
Thanks for this.. it is widely known as one of his best live performances. he was the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time)... to many.. and I have to agree.. I hope you listen to more of Stevie's works.. I appreciate your reaction...
Stevie's guitar is beautiful. Every nick and dent and scratch tells a story. ✌️
El Mocambo man....fricken amazing. Spadina. My brother was a guitarist (he's passed now) but he LOVED Stevie and cried all day playing his guit when Stevie went home. Thanks for this reaction
My opinion the greatest guitarist ever
I was at that performance live back then . I will never forget the Stevie Ray experience.
Stevie was, in my opinion, the greatest blues guitarist ever. He became friends with and learned from those he admired. He developed his own style and took it to a higher level than anyone before or since. He did one thing but did it better than anyone. His passing was a loss.
Without missing a note, and in time. Only soul can produce the magic this man did on a guitar every single performance without fail.
Love your reaction to Stevie Ray. Happy for you! Here's a name for you, Roy Clark.
He IS the guitar demon.
