Instead of wood you should've tried a type of graphite looking pieces or some kind of gray see-through color for the opposing team. The blue looks 👌 nice.

Красиво, но не правильно доску разметил, когда фигуры расставлены, в первом ряду где фигуры, две угловые клетки должны быть, с одной стороны доски, две белые, с другой стороны доски две черные, что в свою очередь означает, со стороны с двумя угловыми клетками белыми, выстраиваются белые фигуры,а где угловые две черные,черные фигуры,таковы правила...

If you meant the epoxy squares to be black, your chessboard position is wrong.
measure the board get its volume sbtract half and 1 fill...... your welcome LOL
