I've found shrimp seems to absorb more than other seafood... I love to steam them in beer, but I've used liquor too. Or if you don't like the taste you can steam with water and add flavors into that (soy sauce, lemon, whatever works best for you)
Why not toss all the seasonings in the bowl with the oil, to coat all sides of the shrimp? Then lay them out on the foil lined tray for a more even coating. 101 stuff.

Couldn't disagree more. Spreading them out and then seasoning create some more balanced flavor for all the shrimp.
