Faze will do what they do and bounce back, London, Minnesota, Paris, and LA will keep things interesting in the majors as well as they're all capable of pulling off deep runs. This could be the most entertaining year of professional CoD ever.
When optic beat faze in the run up to the finals, everyone was saying they wanted faze to get eliminated before the grand final but they came back and Optic did it all over again! That made the win that much better. Green wall baby! LFG

People forget they dropped formal and picked up dashy as his replacement after the dynasty break up, teaming them together was always gonna be meh but mightve been better on vanguard with its AR heavy maps. Last years team just didnt gel perfectly together and sender isnt a strong enough coach to help guide them. Rambo is the biggest change optic needed, the way he walks out with the boys, dude acting like a head coach. Team needs that strong direction. Shotzzy also lets scump do scump shit and slay, biggest problem they had last year was envoy was flank man leaving scump alone alot and getting picked off, if hes given support to do his thing he just heats up to the scump we all know and love.

Yeah Miles’ call on that control is probably my favorite call from any caster ever. Setting my bias aside as an Optic fan, the way he set it up with the small calls of “Optic hold the line” before he exploded with that call is absolutely legendary.
They are but let’s get real. It’s all of them. Scump and Dashy numbers were astounding. Everyone shined in each moment. Shotzy is a play maker while Illey is a straight shooter and wise decision maker. That final search and destroy Scump and Dashy combined 18-11 deaths. Each had 9 kills. Every game showed an MVP. Illey and Shotzy though make great play calls during rotations. Overall it’s awesome. Dashy with laser beams. Illey with laser beams. Shotzy the better version of Envy. Scump just being scump

Honestly even before at their best they usually just went off individually, the talent of scump, formal, karma and crim was too much for most teams but this was just absolutely incredible teamwork.

Nade could make the calls. Clay can make the calls. Illy can make the calls. Formal and crim tried but honestly they're not great IGL's.
I always have dread no matter what. Certain teams are just scary. It's the same feeling I had when Str8 Rippin would face Triggers Down in 2008 or when Believe the Hype showed up.

When Faze lose they look completely different to everyone else. Other teams just look gutted when they lose, Faze look genuinely shocked that somebody has beaten them when they lose a series :)

Well no, because we lost the first SnD in map 2 to Faze in the 2nd round reverse sweep. Their 15 in a row was the 6-0 that completed the reverse sweep and then the 6-0 against London and then first 3 rounds of grand finals first SnD. The last round we had lost before the streak was Faze winning that first SnD map in winner’s bracket round 2.
This squad compared to other legendary IW squad: Dashy: total opposite of C6 lol but a beast nonetheless Illey: got the Karma-esque clutch and smarts Scump: is scump lol Shotzzy: key player that takes pressure\expectations off of scump and dashy
I was incredibly stoked and amazed when OpTic reverse swept faze. I was so happy but when I saw them facing Faze again in the grand finals I was worried. I wanted Optic to win so bad and Faze were looking scary in the losers bracket run. So happy that Optic played them again and just showed the entire world that they’re the better team. Optic left no doubt they deserve to be the top team. They beat everyone this event.

Was worried that 100T couldn't close it out against Faze because it would be harder to beat Faze in a one series best of 9 vs in 2 best of 5s or against 100T. But beating Faze in the grand finals only giving up 2 maps is awesome

When Faze lose they look completely different to everyone else. Other teams just look gutted when they lose, Faze look genuinely shocked that somebody has beaten them when they lose a series :)

Well no, because we lost the first SnD in map 2 to Faze in the 2nd round reverse sweep. Their 15 in a row was the 6-0 that completed the reverse sweep and then the 6-0 against London and then first 3 rounds of grand finals first SnD. The last round we had lost before the streak was Faze winning that first SnD map in winner’s bracket round 2.

I was incredibly stoked and amazed when OpTic reverse swept faze. I was so happy but when I saw them facing Faze again in the grand finals I was worried. I wanted Optic to win so bad and Faze were looking scary in the losers bracket run. So happy that Optic played them again and just showed the entire world that they’re the better team. Optic left no doubt they deserve to be the top team. They beat everyone this event.

I like how Optic completely demolished them on that 4th round of gavutu control. And faze said they were “lagging” got the rematch and got beat even worse.
To be fair Arcity was lagging, it sucks but it’s only fair. I think the luckiest part is they most likely reset the whole map if Scump didn’t have a streak, think that was the only reason they only replayed last round.
