Your reviews are the best online. This is even better than what you find in the average magazine. You can tell that a lot of time went into this video. All of the other channels are basically standing in front of a camera and give their opinion and drum up all the specs trying to sound very interesting. You guys are the only channel taking the effort to actually test these helmets and show the differences between them. That's exactly what I want from a review. Very well done guys.❤
What a great review! Surprising too! I’d set my sights on the AGV 6 but now I’m thinking I should save up for the Shoei. I’m planning on doing long distance trips and those features look pretty attractive to me.
Are the X-Lite X-903 Ultra Carbon and Arai Quantic (Contour-X) not good enough to make it to this short list? In the market for a new sport-touring helmet and one requirement I have is that it shouldn't have integrated comms since I use a Cardo already and so does everyone in my riding group.
Strange that the GT Air 2 scores so high in noise. A lot of people complains about the wind noise in it. I have ordener a different helhet now, have used the GT Air for 3 seasons, but it has a terrible noise on both my former Multistrada 1260 and the V4 I have now.
yep testing all helmets biased helmets on a GS is a flawed approach but justified because of the GS popularity. My Arai rebel is really loud on my GS 1200 but quietish in clean air on my XJR1300. It was designed for naked bikes. My (poorly vented and uncomfortable) Schuberth C3 pro is very quiet on my GS but louder on the XJR. I guess in a perfect world you'd test with two testers.. a oval head arai type and a rounder shoei type AND then on naked, sport, adv bikes. That would be a silly amount of work but it would be nice to see a group test for unfaired naked biked, for sportbikes at some time. Keep up the good work.
your helmet is probably too big or not for your headshape. I returned RPHA 70 because I got a headache because of noise even with earplugs, much worse then my AGV K1
When will you test the Shoei GT-Air 3 helmet? The Shoei GT-Air 3 should be compared to the HJC RPHA 71, because they are made according to the new standard ECE 22.06. The most interesting thing is the Noise Isolation of the GT-Air 3 ? So please test Shoei GT-Air 3 :)
Thanks for the new detailed test, one of the best available on UA-cam. I'd like to ask about the Scorpion Exo 1400 Carbon. I can only identify on Scorpion websites Scorpion St 1400 Carbon, or Scorpion Exo 1400 Air Carbon. Please clarify, as the Scorpion in this video outperforms the 2022 test's Exo 1400 Air Carbon. Basically I just want to identify the exact helmet. Thanks in advance.
Hey, I'm from Poland, we don't have helmet tests like yours. Could you please advise me?? I am looking for my first helmet before I go to try on I would like to be guided on something. I don't know whether to choose jaw or integral I care about the aerodynamic shape, super efficient ventilation, good balance. My candidate is X-lite X-803 RS Ultra, do you think it's a good choice? would you recommend anything else in that range of $??
There is no way 0 degrees temp differance on exo 1400 I own it and I feel way less air flow and more heat than my black rf1200 that these tested as -1 degree than outside air. I guess the forehead vent is very crucial. I ride in super hot and super-duper humid louisiana
In general, a carbon variant will weigh significantly less, because less material is needed to achieve the same level of protection. Also, lot's of manufacturers are releasing updated versions of already existing helmets (carbon or otherwise) to meet the new 22.06 safety standard!
You'd have to check if the circuit requires FIM certified helmets, this is becoming more and more mandatory! If you can use your sport-touring helmet however, I think you'd be fine. But I am not an experienced racer at all, so take that with a grain of salt!
@@Dare_To_Imagine i have exo evo i think its new one. my older helmet was schubert s2 there is huge difference between them. The other problem is fogging i am using pinlock but fogging performance not good.
DISAGREE..First reason we wear a helmet is SAFETY. Then comes everything else. SHOEI GTAIR2 is ECE220.5 and SHOEI NXR2 is ECE22.06 rated. There is absolutely no reason why anyone should but ECE22.05 instead of 22.06 in 2023 no matter what marketing and advertising says. !

The noise en ventilation segments are life savers, makes choosing a helmet a lot easier! Thanks for the review!
That's exactly what these videos are for! Appreciate it Tarik.
This is an absolutely incredible review video! The quality of standards is impeccable. I cannot praise you enough. Great job!

Nice review. It's really good that you perform actual empirical testing rather than speculating or speaking about the helmets based on personal bias.

Great review. Because of the outcome of this decisive test I have made my decision that my next helmet will be a Shoei GT Air 2.
Thanks guys
Thank you for putting in the effort for this! Now ill buy my helmet from you instead of a local place
What head shape is the GT best suited for? Love this format by the way.
Intermediate oval
Heeey, Dutch channel! Bedankt voor het review!
Unbelievable amount of information, thank you
Could you do a test ride of the LS2 Storm?? I would love to know how much noisy it is! Thanks!

Nonsense. I have a gt air and compared to an agv it is extremely quiet. Always someone complaining about something.
most likely bad fit and you’re getting turbulence from somewhere.
they always make their test on BMW GS, with other bikes you will get different results

i heard that shoei air II is windy and loud as hell inside . I am researching so please if u have any recommendations tell me . thx

Great video! Where can I get a clear overview of the features per helmet?
We have an individual review for the helmets mentioned in this video!

The Evo Carbon is the helmet testet in de video, it has the new 22.06 homologation, so, teorically it's a step up.
How come the Scorpion 1400 Evo has different scores on this video vs the budget helments video? Shouldn't the data be the same?
So, what about riders who wear glasses/spectacles?

Are fully black helmets noticeably warmer in the summer?
No, that is a myth.
Doesn’t the Exo-1400 have a non-Carbon version, like are there any major benefits to having the same helemt, but in carbon?
In general, a carbon variant will weigh significantly less, because less material is needed to achieve the same level of protection. Also, lot's of manufacturers are releasing updated versions of already existing helmets (carbon or otherwise) to meet the new 22.06 safety standard!
Are the helmets weighed with, or without the additional features they may have?
Good question! They're weighed without any additional features like speakers!
What kind of communication system goes into the Quantic?
Hey Martijn, the Sena 10U is specifically designed for Arai Helmets!
What type of closure does the S3 have?
The S3 has a micro-metric (small ratchet) closure!
love from Bangladesh 💓
Would I be able to use any of these helmets out on track?
You'd have to check if the circuit requires FIM certified helmets, this is becoming more and more mandatory! If you can use your sport-touring helmet however, I think you'd be fine. But I am not an experienced racer at all, so take that with a grain of salt!
Can these helmets be worn with glasses? If not, what type of helmet would you recommend?
Both SHOEI and HJC helmets in this video are compatible with glasses.
Shoei gt air scores just 3 stars at sharp safety test. Safety should be the #1
The gt air 2?
Also ECE 22.06 and FIM RPHM-01 surpass Sharp. It also doesn't feature new hwlmets.
They do an extraordinary work tho
Idk why the Shoei RF-1400 is in the list. I've heard really good things about it.
The NX2 you see in the review is the European version of the RF1400. The North American version is Snell/DOT while the Euro version is ECE2206 rated.
Nolan N80-8 deserve be in this video
scorpion is very very noisy
True
Are you sure you try the new EVO version ece 22.06?!
The old one (not EVO) was really bad but this new EVO should be totally different.
@@Dare_To_Imagine i have exo evo i think its new one.

No, these are premium helmets.
Where is ROOF R200 CARBON?!!!!
