A random fact about the video, it's revealed in the behind the scenes that the "hotsauce on everything" bit was based on an actual kid Alfred (eggman's voice) knew in high school who actually did that

Fun fact: so many Sonic fans found Eggman’s/Alfred’s annocunment so funny, that cosplayers have dressed up as Eggman, and have been re-enacting the whole rant. It’s quite a meme that really caught on! Even Mike Polluck knows about it. But, he can’t say anymore on it, or recite the speech because of legal reasons. Sega and Sonic are all about being kid friendly after all.
Penny definitely deserve the popularity she’s been getting from the Fandubs, she’s so kind and I appreciate her work. thank you for watching this!

I'm not even a considerable Sonic fan but I've watched these for years, Penny and her crew are truly a gift, you can't help but just NOT laugh along with them (especially Alfred, he's the best😭)

The weird animation probably owes itself to being motion-capture based. That is, live-action people acted it out in special suits for computers to track their motions into animation data.
This game was made in the early 2000s, they didn't mo-cap this. Mo-cap wasn't a huge thing back then. It's just wonky animation.

@@jdh6255 you probably need a bit of context for the "subspace dubbed over" dub to fully enjoy it though, it was posted on April 1st and the entire premise for the VA's was to say the most unfunny things possible as though they were the pinnacle of comedy.

If it wasn't clear about what shadow and Sonic were talking about when fighting in space, they were talking about Eggmans family jewels
not sure if you know or not so Ima state it in case ya don't, from what I know of, there's an activatable Big cutscene for every or almost every cutscene where if you press a specific button(don't remember what the button is) at either the start of the cutscene or while the cutscene is going, it'll cause Big to appear in one way or another. so Big's constant background appearances are because those were the version of the cutscenes they used for the fandub

@@ma.2089 they let the bit go on too long, in my opinion. it wore out its welcome. they've gotten better lately at knowing when to move on, especially as their cast has rotated out and grown as entertainers.

I would say the Shadow the Hegdehog dub (you just uploaded that one I think), he Sonic 06 dub and the Riders dub, which is probably my favorite.
