Cheers Bob! I’ve heard people debate the standby switch for decades but when you talk, I listen. Glad to finally put that one to sleep! Thank you for your take on the current situation, you nail it 100%. You’re a living legend and by far the coolest of a dying breed. Awesome to see you pumping iron and dropping wisdom. Pay attention folks!
Bob! Thank you Thank You! Thank. YOU! I have shared this as far and wide as I can. I think I met you years ago in Medford Mass. But I am sure I am mistaken. But I admire your work. I will never be able to buy an amp from you but I appreciate your work emmensly.
Hey man. Well this 1990 bugeras a year old and ive a used dsl 100h. Ive a few modern tubes but my beer box stash full of tubes( 45years) was stolen with my 50w bassman and my 2100 marshall
Glad you talked about attenuators. When I was kid my boss got the deal with Tom sholz for rockman to sell to music stores . I was the only guitar player there so I got demos. Products. I got the rockman loved it at the time. Lived in apartment , but powersoak was a attenuator. He gave it to me. I set it up but I only had one amp. At that time. It was a lot of money to me. (Mesa boogie with beautiful wood and eq ) I knew Tom sholz was smart but. I couldn’t fire it up. I thought it was possible it would kill my amp. So I never used it . But now I see all these people using ox. Then started thinking well technology has moved forward. But I know. You are right. Glad so glad I didn’t get ox. Or use the power soak
I told them I want KT77's for the Diezel Herbert MK3, and all new design Metal Amp Tubes, bought their t-shirts and they threw in an extra one that wasn't listed, for free.
I just filled out the questionnaire and I'm sharing the fuck outta this with everyone I know. If it were up to me Bob would have his KT77s and we'd all have em. I figured him for a Chevelle guy lol I'm here to learn
What nos tubes. Do you like. ? It seems like the tubes are getting close to nos prices anyway. Do you think just go for nos tubes then ? I got lucky with rca black plate s 6l6gc. They sound great in a fender vibro king . I liked advice you gave on tube life
Bob 1993 i had a quartet of tesla 34's. Ive never heard another set sound as good. Also had a japanese 12 awa7? Put it in my marshall 2100 v3 and it smoothed alot out. I wish I still had that tube too

Ps Vane makes them in China, they have focused on making tubes for hifi until now. TAD has been working with them to develop tubes for guitar
Tube factorys were lightbulb factorys so who makes lightbulbs?
