    I just saw it myself and it’s BEAUTIFUL! A little faint and hard to see, but so freaking cool!

    Outstanding! I checked it out last week in the early am with some binocs. Pretty cool. I have yet to see a a close and personal with a scope. I'm thinking tonight I'll bring out the big gun and see what I can see.

    Comet, meteors, iss ....what more could you ask for?!! Lol. Awesomeness!! I still haven’t been lucky enough to see the comet. Hope the weather permits before it’s to faint to see. With all the mountains too, it’s been rough. Ughhh. I think I found a good spot.... now I just need the weather to cooperate. 🙏🙏.

    Nice low light video! What lens were you using? I might could try tossing another canon lens on the Sony - but focus is broken as the lenses all 'focus by wire'. The Focus ring is electronic, and the Canon/Sony adapter I have isn't a 'pass through' type that powers the lens.

      Allen Mitchell thanks dude!! I use the one that “came with” the camera even though I had to buy it. It’s not a very long focal length lens but it does ok and does nice wide field stuff. Eventually I’ll get the FE 200-600mm that I shoot the launches with. Can’t wait. 😎

    Where is your telescope position?

  • @carltanner9065
    @carltanner9065 4 роки тому

    It should start to appear above my NW horizon by around the 23rd of this month (I'm down under :) ). It'll be in a really good position by the 31st, up near Coma. Although, I have a feeling it won't be so active by then and very hard to see.

      Carl Tanner might be gone by 31

    • @DeepSkyDude
      @DeepSkyDude  4 роки тому

      Carl Tanner it’s worth trying for! Break out the binoculars and you should still be able to see it if it holds it’s brightness. But it will be getting dimmer as time goes on. Good luck!

      Margarita Juarez keep trying! If you have some binoculars definitely bring them and give it a shot!

      @@DeepSkyDude I checked last night around 3am , thought I was looking in the right spot but thought itd be more visible, guess ill have to break out the telescope and check it again.

    • @DeepSkyDude

      Charlie Day this comet is an evening comet now. You’ll need to be out directly after dark and look low on the NW horizon.

      Kaniz Koli from sunset until about an hour after. Not very long.

    Man, it has been tough with these hot Texas evenings. I am just about lined up on it and the damn haze and low clouds roll in. Then I come down with COVID and will not be leaving this apartment for some time. So I will have to experience this comet via UA-cam. Thanks for the views.

    • @DeepSkyDude
      @DeepSkyDude  4 роки тому +1

      Uriah Heep oh no!! I hope you’re doing well!! It’s a ok comet naked eye. Barely visible from my location naked eye but it is doable. You’re not missing too much. What I love about this camera is that’s pretty much what it looks like in the sky. Get well soon!!!
