- Featuring an alternate angle of the finish. I uploaded this a few years ago with really bad quality with music in the background. Here's a better one now that I have the raw audio of the race.

The good ole days!
I dont know why... but after watching this, I was in tears at the finish. Maybe because of my nostalgic love of NASCAR.
Gotta love the huge Powerade bottle on the car in Gatorade Victory Lane.
One of the greatest finishes ever!
20 years later and I still stand by my statement that this finish saved the Lady in Black.
Gotta like a Pontiac beating a Ford to the finish in the Dodge Dealers 400. This was the third year of Dodge's return to the Cup series if I recall correctly.
Miss Darlington I was Ricky Craven fan always been a Pontiac fan
Was There ! 😊
The good ol' days!! '
oddly out of character for kurt to enjoy all that
Why? ANY racer would love to be part of a finish like that.
@@xmbdesign7421 you must have missed the years at roush after 04 and the penske days.
@@xmbdesign7421 you must be new to nascar
@@goradkeselowski1076 No I've watched NASCAR my whole life. I'm a racer myself. That's the kind of battle ANY racer would want to be part of, win or lose. Kurt, belive it or not, didn't act like a punk 24/7. He understood the greatness of that moment and embraced it.
@@xmbdesign7421 he still complained about missing an input, he just acted like he thought he was supposed to. You know his ass was chapped about the loss!
Booth: Barney Hall & Joe Moore
Turns 1&2: Dave Moody
Turns 3&4: Mike Bagley
Pit Road: Adam Alexander, Danielle Frye, Winston Kelley

Can you do the finish to the 2016 homestead race when Jimmie wins
Dylan Falevitch yesss please 😆
Dylan Falevitch that would be awesome 😃
Better than FOX's call
Definitely. MRN is the best.
Both were 110%. Both television and radio calls are now legendary. When the lead commentator in radio and television both have MRN backgrounds, Barney Hall trained Mike Joy and sat next to him for years. For me, I was headed to (now) Dr. LaRoche's voice studio and listened to the finish on MRN. And listening to the finish as I parked my Chevrolet truck in the studio had me giddy. The fact that the television booth watched the finish out of their window was evident. Today's modern commentary is "watch the screen". Joe Moore and Mike Joy are legends and both were on the button.
OMG AWESOME
Just curious - Do you tape these broadcasts?
Pre 2010, I find them here and there. 2010-2012 i recorded here and there. 2013-2017 I have almost every race from the top 3 series.
nascargavin8 There's no way you send out files, do you? I really need the 2017 Ford Ecoboost 400 audio, for my own personal gain.
Will you upload the MRN call of the 2016 homestead race? Would love to hear that one! 😁
Kyle Danielson I have the Edwards incident already uploaded. :)
The race that save Darlington raceway
Not used in Thunder 2004
Unfortunately I didn’t see the finish live but I remember that I was sitting in my parents’ car in a Walmart parking lot listening to this. When I first seen the highlights I was absolutely amazed! STILL my favorite finish of all time.
You want to see the greatest finish of all times, check out the 1974 Firecracker 400!!
It’s up there as far as the closest finishes in nascar history.
A classic.
0:39 Didn't realize Kurt was related to Chris Buescher.
hes his long lost cousin
I listened to this race on the radio and it did not give it the proper justice
