Hey everyone! I'm back with another reaction to a live performance by Diana Ankudinova! This time she's covering part of the soundtrack to the motion picture Dune. And her voice is absolutely PERFECT for this! I'm so impressed and pleased she decided to do a version of this. What did you guys think?

Она любит и книгу, и фильм; она любит Диану Анкудинову примерно за то же, что и этот фантастический, придуманный мир: за её умение вызвать у нас ощущения мистического, таинственного, непознаваемого. Чего-то непонятного, пугающего - но одновременно с этим прекрасного и притягивающего. Этакая уютная неожиданность, которой мы ещё не знаем; мы хотим её испытать, мы хотим удивиться; мы хотим получить эмоции, каких не получаем от обычной музыки. Диана Анкудинова это превосходно умеет делать - и демонстрировала нам это не раз на различных шоу. Но там всегда требовалась серьёзное преображение материала известных песен, чтобы адаптировать их к её голосу и её энергии; здесь же мы видим практически идеальное совпадение материала и всех возможностей артиста. Думаю, что это и было главным критерием выбора именно такого артиста на шоу Ханса Циммера. Его музыка - и не только эта - ей идеально подходит. Остаётся лишь пожалеть, что Ханс Циммер всего один на весь мир, и что он работает не в России. И порадоваться тому, что у нас есть артист, способный исполнять такую неординарную, выходящую за любые привычные рамки, музыку. Рано или поздно найдётся кто-нибудь, кто сможет использовать эти её невероятные возможности - и напишет музыку, которая будет по размеру ей - а больше никому...
Ну, последнее время Диана не откликается на "Господин барон", говорит: "Называйте меня просто Мюллер, садовник Мюллер" 😂

Она, похоже, первая, кто признался, что, вообще, смотрел этот фильм) Я не понимаю, как так можно, спустя рукава, относиться к выбранной собой профессии. Каждый первый же - "Я кино не смотрел, оригинал не слышал, но вставлю пару мнений...". Полнейшее безобразие в отношение аудитории - есть немалая часть людей, кто и книги Херберта читал и оба фильма просмотрел и прослушал-сравнил студийную запись песни и живое исполнение. Дык, не так уж это и сложно - прочитать десяток книг, просмотреть пару фильмов - короче, подготовиться к реакции, а, потом уже выдавать свое авторитетное. К данной реактрице, или реактриционите? (не силен в феминитивах) не относится, девушка знакома с материалом и может судить в сравнении. Кстати, мне фильм Линча больше нравится, чем Вильнева. Актеры что ли более архетипичные? Действие не затянуто? Черт его знает, однако, новая экранизация, в очередной раз, проигрывает старой. На которую, кстати, в свое время, все фанатики Дюны все возможные маты сложили - типа, все не то и, все не так.
Hi Molly, the original vocalist on the Dune soundtrack was Loire Cotler. This concert was a celebration of film compositions by Hans Zimmer. Diana also sang the title track to the James Bond film "No Time To Die", which is completely different, showcasing Diana's versatility. Hopefully, at some point, there will be the opportunity for Diana to work directly with Zimmer on a film score. Ah well, one can dream!

In my opinion Diana is the person that should’ve used on the original soundtrack if you go back and listen to it again you realize that Diana‘s voice is much more powerful deeper and mystical, she is amazing. Diana also covered the song no Time to die, For the James Bond movie. Please react to this yeah I know I used a completely different voice and it is beautiful

It's great to see a Dune fan react to this performance! You are absolutely right. Her haunting vocalizations are perfect for this. As always, her stage presence adds a lot and the Fremen type garb they decked her in is just the cherry on top. She's a Fremen Reverend Mother, calling from the deep desert, warning about the impending, bloody jihad.
20 year old DIana is simply mesmerizing. Her tonality and raw power is ridiculous. She has another movie video from a major motion picture you should check out. It came out late last year called Baikal. In the movie DIana plays the spirit of the Lake and is the voice of the young character's dead mother. The music video is an original song by Diana and there are clips from the movie used and Diana is underwater for most of the video. It's a movie about a families adverture to the mysterious Lake Baikal in Siberia.
The original is a great piece of studio music. I have listened to them side by side, and it's amazing how much more powerful Diana's version is. That's why people wonder if she did the original, because it has never been sung better. No disrespect intended to the original artist, but there are levels to vocal intensity and Diana is on the the top one. She should do movies scores by top composers, as she is literally a top level female vocalyst. If you want a powerful mystic deep voice her's is the best you can find on the market. Her voice can carry an alien world. Or this world if needed, she has always made me think mother earth is singing :)
That she outperformed a movie score live, which in all honesty I can remember nobody doing ever, I will leave as a point of reflection. But this is the wonderful world of Diana Ankudinova, expect the unexpected.

I'm a huge Diana fan and find this performance absolutely breathtaking.
For reference, to be objective i have listened this song (Dune, Paul's Dream) from other Art of Hans Zimmer concerts from all over Europe.
When they sang it i had the feeling the female singers were pushing hard, their voice cracked, they were clearly on their limit, like a regular woman desperately calling out to the tribes, like a human priestess.
Compared to them when Diana sang it she felt all powerful, way stronger and mightier, who wasn't even at her limit, like an avatar, channelling unearthly energies.
Her mighty, powerful, therefore "dramatic" contralto voice with incredible overtones, resonances, all consuming. No sign of struggling with the notes, breaking of her voice, she always felt
like she was in full control and could be even more powerful to reach the breaking point of herself despite already incredible powerful.
And her look in that dress, her eyes, her expression...
If Dune's Universe were real then i would have zero doubt she has the Bene Gesserit's Voice.
By the way she sang James Bond No time to die song in this Art of Hans Zimmer concert as well, aslo on her "Diana Ankudinova Life" channel.
Finally yesterday a clip emerged showing a montage of this concert in proper quality, with few parts showing Diana, we can still hope one day her full performances will be available in good quality:

They had tons of artists, a few exceptional singers, lot of songs, and 2 months of rehersals, to do such a quality performance flawlessy.

Diana launched this piece to outer space along with everyone listening to it, look at her avoiding to sing straight in to that microphone, the singing equipment was trembling, her vocal energy has enough force for interstellar travel, it has the power to compel people and turn things in to reality just like "The voice" that only a specific female race the "Bene Gesserit" can do from the movie Dune it self.

Greetings from Scotland! Sweet strawberries with thick dark chocolate in a BIG serving - that's what Diana's voice sounds like here! Perfection for such a soundtrack! Then she performed a cover of Billie Eilish soundtrack for "No time to die" in a gentle, sweet, breathy voice! SO talented!!!

The both "Art of Hans Zimmer" shows, in Moscow and St. Petersburg were big, they had approximately 120 artists were on the stage in total, there were 236 lighting units, they had 6 laser projectors and more than 14,000 spectators! Just what Diana needs, great exposure for her incredible vocal talents!
The language that Diana sings in is called FREMEN and was specially created by Linguist David J. Peterson, who developed the constructed languages and gesture-based battle language for the film. The most widely spoken language in the film is Galach, a universal tongue derived from English and Slavic languages, serving as the common language for interstellar communication. The Fremen, native to the desert planet Arrakis, have their own language with roots in Arabic, reflecting their culture and struggles.
Like I have written in other reactions: the original soundtrack sung by Zimmer's group sounds like the cry of war from the villagers; Diana's cry sounds like the war cry from the Highest Priestess of the Holy Order of Gaia. No comparison, period.

I'm a news reporter from MK site called Mortal Kombat Secrets, I saw your thread on X in which you explained about the communication from WB regarding MK1, which was very informative. for those who don't know: Diana was abused and abandoned as a child - was MUTE - spent early years in a Russian orphanage - her adoptive Mum provided speech and voice lessons as a way for Diana to overcome her trauma - she is a natural Contralto (the lowest female vocal range) and can sing multiple notes or tones simultaneously I think she's amazing........

Или к примеру - издательство выпустило большим тиражом подарочное издание - кавер романа " Овод " ....
