Rechenka was probably the first time the judges saw her in a big production with backing dancers and complex scenery. As another commenter notes, this is a ritual song from the perspective of a young orphan girl about to marry a man she may not really know, and she comes to the river, the boarder between life and death, in the woods, always in literature a place of mystery and confusion to try to call out to her dead mother, asking for her blessing as she is about to begin her new life as a married woman. The song is made even more poignant, because Diana herself is effectively an orphan. She was abandoned by her birth mother at age 3, and was sent to an orphanage. She was adopted by a wonderful family at around 5 years old. But the echo of that reality haunts Diana's rendition of this song. Her first song "Dernière Danse" did cause a lot of interest with the judges, but that video of her singing it is probably not her best performance of it, considering that it is a bit short on duration with minimal support from the production crew. Just like the first appearance on most TV talent shows where if you manage to progress through to the next round you get more time, effort and attention applied to the following performances by the production crew. There are much more polished versions of her singing "Dernière Danse" available on youtube. “Wicked Game” and “Human” were performed by Diana on the 2019 show when she was asked to return for a super season featuring winners and finalists from previous seasons. Reckenka isn't just a song, it's an immersive experience. The dancers represented water and forest spirits.
The judges had seen her on an earlier performance on the show with Derniere Danse. From that performance onwards they had predicted her to win.
"Crow" is definitely a must-see performance of Diana, her shamanic tones will entrance you and the choreography is fantastic!

After the performance Diana was invited to sit in a judge's seat. Her dramatic contralto is one in a billion, in someone with her abilities.. Many generations will pass before anyone like Diana is born again. Rechenka combined her vocal and acting talents, also gave us a taste of her range and her yodel technique. You are correct, there is no-one like her, nor will there be again in our lifetime.

It's a Russian tradition to sing sad ritual songs at weddings to chase away evil spirits. "Recheck" is a soft way of saying "river" in Russian. As another commenter notes, this is a ritual song from the perspective of a young orphan girl about to marry a man she may not really know, and she comes to the river, the boarder between life and death, in the woods, always in literature a place of mystery and confusion to try to call out to her dead mother, asking for her blessing as she is about to begin her new life as a married woman. The song is made even more poignant, because Diana herself is effectively an orphan. She was abandoned by her birth mother at age 3, and was sent to an orphanage. She was adopted by a wonderful family at around 5 years old. But the echo of that reality haunts Diana's rendition of this song. In fact all of the children in this particular completion are "Disadvantaged" as all of them spent significant time without parents.

Можете перевести ей, что это утопленница. Постановка сделана в духе Триллер М.Джексона. Манера исполнения этническая, русская о речке, где она утопилась, но ласково называет её Реченька, ведь она её приютила навсегда. Поэтому и костюмы соответствуют и лодка есть, как последнее развлечение.
Of course the song has something to do with water, because it's called "Rechenka" (a tender way to say "river" in Russian). It's difficult to explain how to pronounce "rechenka" to an English speaker. Maybe so. Stress falls on the first syllable. And you should pronounce "r" and "n" softly (kind of ri-ye-chen-i-ka). Diana does it two times in the song. All in all it is a great performance by Diana. And many thanks for such positive and sincere reaction.
