Spot on with the myths because it’s literally what I heard before I got solar. I think with the right system, you can optimise the energy you produce. Even on days when it seems like no energy will be generated I still get a decent amount. On my setup even with rain and no sun, I'm still getting power generated obviously not a huge amount, but still a decent output. For example, in September over 9 days my panels produced 118kWh, despite some pretty bad weather we had. Just yesterday, during heavy rain, the panels still generated 17.6kWh. In August, the panels produced 722kWh. In my opinion it's absolutely worth the investment, as long as you choose a reputable company. I think if you get a quote that seems too good to be true then avoid. I went with Rea Fusion panels and Enphase IQ8 micro inverters while not the cheapest I think they are one of the best available right now.
😂👍 like the presentation, tough sell honesty. Yeah, guess what we get cloud/rain fairly often in UK, currently even more than usual so solar averages are down (some reporting 20-30%). I’ve seen that worst months in Winter, but also seen +5-10% from estimate. When the sun is about it’s great, can’t rain all the time!?! Regardless, our savings are excellent very happy with Heatable service/forecasts.

Using 290W micro inverter on a 420W peak panel is insane. You're throwing away power in the peak of the day, when most of the power is generated. In the UK Summer that's usually at 80% of the rated wattage. I'm currently getting 85% between 11.00pm and 2.00pm on some last gen 100W panels. Throwing away money... you got that right... you might as well have just saved money with a simple string inverter < 30 feet away and 3 diode half cell multi bus bar panels to cater for shading and got a better result.
