Yay scarlets! They are one of my favorite colors. I didn't know they were so productive and how useful they are in getting different colors. Thank you so much for this video and this series. P.S. I love how you talk with your hands while holding the quail XD
Another great video. Thanks Zach!
This question been driving me mad couldn't find pictures to compare them apart
Glad you found it
such beautiful birds I love quail.
Holy Moley Zack! That’s a lot of UA-cam info coming our way!!! Excited!!!
Mine scarlets are the Best laying birds I have
I got celadon they are 4 days old, I was told they are hard to raise and don’t tolerate weather geez I hope I can raise them.
They are just like regular Coturnix so no worries
@@MyshireFarm thank you! I have enjoyed learning about quail and these little birds are so quiet the cat doesn’t know they are in the laundry room!
How common is it for the Scarlet Tuxedos? I'd love to have a bunch of those, they're crazy gorgeous birds.

Good day! I have a question ⁉️ please . You said, that scarlett male with wild female will give the variety of brown colors. And what if I have a scarlet female and tibetian mail. What pesent of chicks will have roux gene? Thank you!

Looks like a common brown, also known as a range quail
I would be curious what a scarlet over Jumbo white would look like.
Egyptian.
Should be Scarlett Tuxedo with the white. Jumbo brown would be Egyptian
Nick. You are completely right I read jumbo wild not white. Yes jumbo whites will give you scarlet tuxedo I am so sorry.
My question is. How good if moms are they? Or what breed of quail have you noticed is a better mom?
Quail rarely brood chicks
They don't "rarely brood chicks", it's humans rarely keep them in their proper environments lol.
Give em proper space and you'll find that they go broody easier than a lot of chicken species. But most people house em in battery situations stacked on top of one another; if you have the space for an aviary or a decent sized pen you can add little shrubs the can hide in, you'll get your broody hens 👌🏾
@@ThatStevenLouisIs that your own experience? If so,what kind of quails do you have that take care of chicks?
Alright Zack who did you tick off now? 2 thumbs down and hasn’t even been 17 minutes 🤣🤣

So, you are little bit misleading breeders. Scarlett is the one with pinning, without is Red Range. They are also not the same, because they both acts different in breeding.
Red Range is not Roux dilute of Rosetta but Tibetan. And Scarlett is not Roux dilute of Tibetan but Rosetta. I would fix it if I were you.
But I agree, that Range and Scarlett's are my the best layers.
He described it right. The range is single extended black so like Rosetta a variable pattern. The Scarlett is double extended black so tibetan base( which is solid) with the red over top
@@nickvanhooft6525 No, he is wrong and so are you. Roux on Rosetta is Scarlett and Roux on Tibetan is Red Range. I am focusing on Roux do this basic rule I know. 🙂
@@nickvanhooft6525 Also, they are extended brown, not black 🙂
