Brilliant ,,and those birds are huge for one week....this is the best podcast or book on the subject available anywhere in the known world,,,and trust me I have looked.....sex link hatching in qual is absolutely the greatest breakthrough in food security in the last century.....you guys should get a Nobel Prize or something.... thanks.!

Hey Zack, I've got an experiment for you to try. I switched the males in 2 groups of females and noticed an increase in egg production for the next 4 days. I'd like to see if you get similar results.

Hi, Good to see the videos regarding Quails. I have a doubt regarding MOSQUITOES. My place is filled with mosquitoes is it ok for quails or is it bad.I am worried about chicks too. I am planning to raise quails near my place but too much mosquitoes, literally can't stand for more than few seconds.
You could do them inside or spread pesticides around you patio before you get the quail
Thank you for the video! Loved it. Only issues was understanding was with your use of "over". For other animals, it is male over female for easily guessed at reasons 😂 but I notice you go back and forth. Is this normal phrasing for quail? Do you just use it in replacement for with as in breed X male with X hen for sex link? I understand you said it must be Egyptian male over Pharoah female and not vice-versa, so I know it isn't reversible
Yeah it is kinda interchangeable. Sorry for the confusion
So you can switch the order of the pharos hens with the Egyptian rooster or nada

What would happen if you put a jumbo white male with a wild hen
You would get whites, wilds and eventually some tuxedos

hi there myshire farm, i am disapointed why you ask well i ordered jumbo wild coturnix, and i got white jumbo meat makers , there just starded to hatch and so far there all white can i ask why.
Angel- Send them an email with a picture of the hatched quails. I am sure they will answer all the questions that you might have, and they will take care of you.

Egyptian is a Pharoah with the roux gene so anything that is red, breed with pharaoh and you will start producing Egyptians

It works at hatch and then second generation you can have them hatch like that every time

Yes you can type in the UA-cam search bar vent sex by Myshire farm and there will be videos that pop up showing you how to do that

So it would be better to order Egyptian eggs to get the males you need to continue making sex links? It seems that with sex links you can't go backwards.
At this time you would need to order both wilds and Egyptians or an order of feather sexable you should get both Egyptian and wilds
In theory, Could you take a Pharaoh rooster over an Egyptian hen and get a sex link as well, but opposite what you get with an Egyptian rooster over a Pharaoh hen?
I feed mine red meat, it makes them mean. Just kidding.

Egyptian males and wild hens produce sex links everytime.
What do you get if you breed the opposite way? Wild male to Egyptian female?
